So I decided Google "quantum dots" in order to see what news there was out there. 1,090 web articles in the past month. Qdots are everywhere.
Not directly related to TQDs, but there is mention of QDs and the blinking problem related to medical diagnostic imaging. Thick shell technology might allow QDs to be considered for this application again.

I know I heard mentioned only a few competitors to QMC namely: Namoco and Nanosys.
There are several other private companies already distributing QDots of some volume. They don't appear to have TQDs or any mass production process similar to QMC. I'm sure there are others, but I didn't dig to deep into the google search results.

I would agree and tend to believe they are further along than the PR might indicate. As I pointed out in my last post today, they reported in the 10K, October 15, 2013, that shelling technique was an accomplishment. The PR wasn't released for 4 months about thick shell partnership with LANL.
Was just reading through the 10k again. They told us in 10k, "Business Accomplishments" section 7th bullet, that they had created a shelling technique. Apparently it has been old news for months, we were just not aware until PR release.
"Successfully developed a production process and shelling techniques that produce extremely high quantum yield TQDs..."
Great story. I, as well, came from a low income family. I have watched my parents make conservative decisions financially in general. When they did take a few risks, they did so without sufficient investigation and understanding of risk. In summary, they did not succeed financially and still struggle to this day. I have learned from those lessons and am, in my opinion, taking an educated risk because of the potential upside of this company. If this fails, I have plenty of other investments that are gaining value as we speak. Last year I had a biotech mutual fund increase by 100%. So win or lose here, I'll be fine. I'll be really fine if QTMM succeeds, i.e. retirement at age 45.
I have been enjoying this board and the conversations occurring here, positive or negative.
Keep the stories and industry news coming. Thank you.
Looking forward long!
Nice analogy!
Nicely put.
I cut my last message short.
The stock price will begin to move and attract more investors.
Duke has the only valid argument, IMO. Revenues are the only factor not present. When investors see QMC moving toward the black, the stock price
Well, I, by far, consider it a better investment than the lottery. There is still risk associated with this investment. But, with the new funding and the outlook of reaching production phase, I think the risk is dwindling every day. Looking forward to seeing some revenues in a future 10Q.
The volume says pretty much nothing other than people are holding for greater than a $.06 share price. Stagnation on this stock's volume is nothing new. Just look at the average volume per day.
@Vajus
You really are providing no substance to this forum. If you would provide some specific support for your ramblings, I'm sure most of us here could have an educated discussion with you about the pros, cons, or risks associated with investing in this company or any other penny stocks. You keep referring to posts from 6 years ago with no specifics.
Most of us on this forum have researched the industry and company thoroughly and understand that this company is still high risk and is just reaching the production phase of their product.
Thank you for any factual data that you can provide and value you could add to the discussions on this board.
This banter makes me laugh. I just invested within the past year because I believe this companies has way better odds than the lottery. If it misses, I lose 10 grand. If it hits, I make millions. I like the odds. Just call me the gambler.
I was simply stating that I look forward to the day. There has been no mention of NASDAQ that I know. If I'm not mistaken, a company has to be greater than $1 and show solid performance before they can be listed there. QTMM is far from there. I'm just an optimist about this company and hope my long term investment pays good rewards.
Looking forward long!
We all hope that is the case. I'm looking forward to this stock being listed on the NASDAQ.
We are all just waiting for the day when this "little engine that could" is leaving the station and the rest of the world realizes and jumps onboard.
Of course someone is trying to suppress the stick price. Who sells 400 shares at a time of a 4-6 cent stock. The transaction cost is almost as much a the stock value. These types of sales have happened routinely this year.
And the other question still unanswered, if ever, who was dumping the millions of shares last week at 4 cents? Someone was making some kind of play with that, IMO.
I think were likely stagnant until one of two things occur: quarterly report shows some revenue or a contract announcement is made. After that, who knows where it will go.
Apparently, whomever was selling has stopped. What low volume today compared to the past week!
Great news. Another hurdle cleared!
Good to see increased volume the last two days.
Looks like something put together as part of an effort to present to potential investors?
We all wish QTMM was trading at the QTM price of $1.39.
Anyone have any idea how long it took for them to produce 2000 kg?
Have you seen the number of reality television shows that are produced? Americans love drama, lol.
Honestly I can't stand reality TV. I like to live life myself, not watch others live theirs.
Considering the new agreement with Rice, if I were the one making a business plan, I would propose a time table to my royalty company that I expect to meet well ahead of schedule. I would want to ensure I had sufficient time to handle any possible risk in establishing my production lines. I would try to avoid going back to the royalty company again for extension.
I personally hate waiting to the last minute or squeezing my deadlines. It's just not a good way to set up for success. Of course, this is just my opinion on how I would run my business.
Nice post. Very informative. Their production rates are crazy slow compared to what QMC says they can do. Let's hope QMC delivers. If the other manufacturers are at these production rates when QMC delivers, QMC will dominate the market share.
Typo in 10.2 section 3.3 a) chart. States $292,500 due November 2013. The chart is clearly chronological and should state 2016.
Interesting perspective. Articles like this would cause some speculative trading for most stocks, but I'm thinking most QTMM investors are in it for the long haul, win or lose. I know I'm not concerned with the current stock price.
That was my point of posting that article. The writer uses a lot of 10k data for QTMM, and only vague facts from Nanoco. Just because Nanoco has Dow as a partner doesn't mean their "mass" production makes them any more valuable. Now, Dow as a partner does likely give them solid financing.

Is this writer being paid by Nanoco? Lol
Most investors in QTMM know the relative status of operations and know more financing was requested in August.
Thanks. I forgot about the AZ patent.
Thanks. I should have been more specific. Isn't there a pending patent for the manufacturing process?
Isn't the patent still pending?
