Art: NYSE just called me back and gave me a number to call to get answers to questions. Their phone is busy so here is the number for anybody who wants answers. No contact name given - SCC - 202-551-7040
Will check back n see if anybody bothered to call.
When I asked Rosemarie why forced buyin suspended, she said the reason was in the first paragraph.....
No use to call Rosemarie Fenelli - passing the buck to SCC and SEC. She is to call back with a proper contact name and number.
reason - bcit not an exchange listed stock.
Well...its Friday. The well supposed to be completed Tues. at earliest, and Friday at latest......
Art if nobody tries P. will call later today as I am curious as to why. Perhaps it has something to do with Joda's "shorts scare" post, and they have been given a temporary reprieve? There was no date given in the article.
Joda:
One thing you might try with your dd re naked shorts scare in combination with the SEC update suspending forced buyin, is contact chtv here....I caught a link on tv yesterday evening, a segment called "urked" where "the little fella" is being screwed over by somebody.
He follows up on them, trying to help the person being screwed. Maybe worth a try... the address given was urked@chtv.ca
just suggestion if ya wanna get proactive. P.
Ditch: I believe Mr. Megas said he would support us in whatever we (the investors) chose to do, including a class action...we have all kinds of talent on this board.
This is the last P. will say on matter. I say it would be doing something other than lying down and takin it. Maybe someone else can take up the cause if its worthwhile and do-able. P
lissa: this is where all those little emails from brokerages n'stuff come in handy...what other recourse do we have? We could call it an advertisement to recruit some kickazz lawyers...open to any other suggestions. p.
I say we all chip in some money and post a full page ad exposing the scam as it has unfolded...we can use their pr's against em. How much does a full page cost anyhow? cheap compared to what some of yu big boys could lose....how else to get the story out?
"From the stockholders of BCIT to investing public":

NAKED SHORTS SCARE
By RODDY BOYD
Traders in Nasdaq stocks are racing to beat a rumored regulatory deadline to close out their positions — or take huge losses as clearing firms do it for them.
Stock traders told The Post that Nasdaq stocks including Baidu.com, the Chinese Internet portal, and Foxhollow Technology Corp. experienced sharp spikes in stock price and volume recently as short-sellers scrambled to cover their positions.
On Sept. 6, Baidu closed at $77.80; Tuesday, it closed at $113.59. On Sept. 6, Foxhollow was $43.91; on the Sept. 9, it closed at $47.96.
Naked short sales are trades executed without borrowing stock beforehand. Naked short sellers can overwhelm an orderly trading market, since unlike traditional short sellers, there is technically no limit to how much stock can be sold short illegally.
Naked shorting was always a violation of established trading practice, and in January the National Association of Securities Dealers instituted a rule — Regulation SHO — to eliminate the practice.
A day trader active in numerous Nasdaq stocks, including Baidu and Foxhollow, said a rumor of mandatory buy-ins had been circulating on Internet bulletin boards for days.
The Post reported recently that the NASD and numerous state securities regulators, led by Ralph Lambiase of Connecticut's Division of Securities and Business Investments, have vowed to increase scrutiny of naked short sales.
A buy-in is the worst possible development for a short-seller, since he has to accept any price given.
"Ninety-five percent of those rumors are fiction put out by people long on the stock, but price and volume action don't lie," said this trader. "Any stock for sale was gobbled up, regardless of price."
The NASD circulates a daily list of stocks — termed the Threshold List — from the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq with a certain percentage of their trading volume failing to match up.
Tom Ronk, the chief executive of Buyins.net, which offers software to take advantage of so-called short squeezes, said stocks with large naked short positions for two weeks often start to increase in price.
He said after 15 days on the Regulation SHO list, firms must buy in their clients or face fines or the suspension of their licenses.
As an example, Ronk pointed to Catuity Inc., which had been added to the NASD's Naked Short List on May 2 at $4.53 and jumped to $22.58 by May 9, closing yesterday at $15.40.

Of course we have higher quality bashers at ihub,as you might have noticed we run bums like you off! no riff raff.
janice....go back to rb please. oops did they run you off,I forgot...
Lowtrade: thanx for the post, I apolagise, I thought you were aware of that when I made my post.
A synopsis of activities leading up to:
Ameriturd started the ball rolling by suspending buying but not selling, and then suspended both buying and selling. But not before the pps was run down to .02.
Eturd was also pulling shananigans with bcit holders. In response the SEC was flooded by complaints, so many in fact, they had no choice but to call a halt for 10 trading days.
Ameriturd claimed it had only learned of phony shares and thus saw fit to suspend trading is the reason given by them. They neglected to add that they were notified by the DTC bout a week earlier but chose to ignore it and continue both buying and selling. Since everyone was buying and not selling they found themselves getting deeper and deeper in shat.
The ceo is on the investors side and is now refusing to make a deal with MM's who are apparently begging Megus for shares. I have not seen any emails to that effect(from megus) so I have to take Arts word (and others on this). There is one email supposedly from an MM who wanted to deal with Megas and has been posted on both ihub and rb.
The sec did put out a pr saying that this is the first time the sec has taken direct action......so....as it stands it seems to be something of a Mexican stand-off when trading resumes the 15th or therearounds.
Apparently there are ten MM's who have dug themselves a very deep hole, and have jeoparized their companies existance. BCIT-ers do not intend to go into the night gently on this one and are holding. Sec,dtc, fbi are all involved in this. For the SEC to turn their back on this one is to give all crooks carte blanche to do the same to ANY company.......DTC seems to be in a tizzy, and fbi have not had a hard time to come up with evidence as the paper trail is something a blind man could follow.
Whats on everyones mind right now is what is gonna happen when trading resumes....the MM's will no longer be able to suspend trading I suspect and what should happen is a forced buyback of all counterfeit shares. No doubt between now and then we will see an announcement by SEC and from bcit CEO Thomas Megas.
Mr Megus has invested a considerable amount of time and money into this, and has some high powered lawyers looking to fry the responsible parties. We have a new transfer agent official reckoning is under five M shares and minus restricted leave a float of just ONE MILLION.
The sec will not want to see the offending MM's go down in flames, but have to work on the behalf of bcit and its investors. It seems some kind of equitable solution must be found. People of talking of dollars per share, and there are a hell of a lot of phony shares out there.
WE know who endz up with the sore az most of the time, but this is an unusual case. Penn is happy to be in the thick of it with free shares. A small position mind you, but should it see dollars I wont be hurting.
Hope this helps a little, quite the soap opera huh? bcit board is still #1 in hits although not trading....of course we have gained some good bashers who are working the boards. Penn
thanx but please - american markets open tomorrow??
Donk: ?????????Duhhhhhhhh.
Hi Dusty. I had similar thinking to the "intelligent" post,in trying to determine what might be a fair or just settlement. Eight cents seems reasonable given it was the price before shananigans commenced.
While eight cents would certainly provide almost all of us with almost obscene profits, it does not take into account any damages to the company or shareholders.
It would eqate to borrowing (stealing) all the shares from the company buying and selling them many over making millions of dollars, and when caught red handed - simply bow their hands and return the shares back to original owner without compensation for damages, or any punishment to the wrong doers.
Anyone owning these legal shares would have their eight cent shares stolen and then returned with no compensation or chance of increased value. The damage and cost incurred to Megas and company certainly must include lost time and appreciation of the reverse merger.
Therefore, I would have to say that first Mr. Megas be compensated for lost time and aggravation, all legal costs incurred, damage\restitution made to the company and shareholders in the amount of (at least) two million dollars, and share buyback at a minimum of .16 cents, and should the
SEC wish to punish,.24 cents min.
In this way legal share owners who were in before fraud occurred would also have a chance at having the value of their shares increased substantially, while maybe not as high as those who later purchased phony shares at a discounted price.
As well, should Mr. Megas have any business partners in his real estate stuff, they also should be compensated for the delay in the reverse merger....
Just my humble opinion and dont know much about corporate matters and such.
By the way folks, tomorrow (MOnday) is a holiday in CAnada - Labour day or some shat, and markets here in CAnada are closed.
Is the U.S market open tomorrow?
iggy works fine. Want a laugh? Go to lowtrade picture gallery,Capt nemo in rowboat.
You can thank Penni. At least say hello. Mostly you say dont post.
"hope" is not a good word. I tell my cat to stay in the yard and hope she listens....this is where Megas lawyers are needed methinks. P.

09/02 NEWS Bancorp International Group Announces Temporary Share Trading Suspension
NEW YORK, Sept. 2, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Bancorp International Group (Pink Sheets:BCIT) ("BCIT") has cooperated fully with the SEC from the first moment of contact between the regulator and the company and has made available to the SEC all materials in its possession relevant to an investigation. The company believes such contact with the authorities who have jurisdiction over these matters will result in resolving the counterfeit share issue.
BCIT will continue to complete its filings progress of which had been severely interrupted by the events of the past 12 weeks and will announce a finite share exchange shortly. The exchange will identify brokerage positions with the hopes of seeing the Customer Protection Rule enforced.

I just got off the phone with Ameritrade about BCIT. I spent an hour going up the chain of command. They say if the SEC opens trading they will let us trade with out their hold. I also got them to give me 20 free trades for my trouble.
