Thanks, Stoner422, for your smart realistic calculations.
Your figures show that this industry needs a minimum of four million sq. feet to grow the product that will be consumed in med + rec legal demand.
The build-out (if my figures are correct) will need to be twice to three times what exists now or is already in the planning pipeline.
Therefore Bruce's present strategy for Canopy of build, build, build, is the correct business model for future success.
You could be onto something there, Twister1.
I hope they don't buy OGI out.
WHY..?
Because the initial stocks I bought in 2015 have all been bought out, except OGI.
I am hoping that the recent bleed over the recall has bled itself out, and that OrganiGram can now move forward again.
I believe OGI is way under valued, especially compared to other fly-away LPs.
This could / should be trading up towards the 4s.
After all it is a profitable company with strong dedicated management, local government support, room to expand, and a bright profitable future beckoning.
Yeah, I hopes it moves to the 4s and beyond before bigger players even attempt to buy-out OGI...
However, I had the same thoughts about Bedrocan and Mettrum, both swallowed by Canopy / WEED, so what do I know...?
Thanks, Wo...
Now you can buy WEED.... Good morning, Canada...
http://business.financialpost.com/investing/market-moves/as-of-today-you-can-now-buy-and-sell-weed-on-the-toronto-stock-exchange
No, Goodbuddy, the MT.V shares have not been converted by our broker to WEED.
However, our european broker needs to throw a few more buckets of coal into their IT system to catch up with the real-time real world... We don't expect to see the conversion in our portfolio until Monday or Tuesday or even Wednesday...
Big time.... Grow, grow, grow.... Bruce, go, go, go...
600 tons... with Canopy aiming for, what -- 25% - 40% of that market -- can one of you brains work out how much growing footage WEED needs....?
Deloitte report puts recreational demand at 600,000 kilograms per year if legalization goes through.

Agree with JSee.... StevenRisk you made a good Buy, as, imo, OGI is undervalued. Compared to the share price of other LPs OrganiGram looks like offering retail investors the best potential for capital growth. In the next months one could expect share price increases with legislation on the way from the Ottawa government.

Hello WEED...
link...?
Goodbye MT.V and many thanks.
Will this be a dollar day...?
Thank you, CanadianInvestor. This is reassuring. I have found in life that generally speaking politicians cannot be counted on to keep their word ... especially after they gain power. However, your Canadian politicians seem to lean towards a bent to keep their word... they are in danger of giving politics a good name...

Is the Canadian marijuana space as a whole undervalued, overvalued, or properly valued right now?
Tough question, because I think as a whole the sector is undervalued, but a couple companies in my opinion are very overvalued relative to their peers.

Sitting in a quiet Vancouver Fairmont Waterfront ballroom hallway, OrganiGram’s Denis Arsenault is both open and candid as he talks with me about the company, the Canadian marijuana industry, and its potential social impact. Arsenault is visiting Vancouver as one of fifteen executives from Canada’s biggest marijuana companies for the Canaccord Genuity Cannabis Conference.
Thanks, Wo.
WASN'T there something about Health Canada make an announcement or press conference to do with cannabis at the end of January?
Anybody any ideas...?
