Yes I know...we have to wait a bit to find out. Which should be right around the time Hikma launches, assuming they do. A hold by BB does wonders for my mental state.
It’s beyond sad.
If you believe it that much go post it on their twitter feed or any other forum to help raise awareness. Send an email to IR indicating your suspicions or hell why not just copy the SEC and Justice Department on that message. I’ll never not support someone who feels strongly about their position (like BB amicus) I just don’t think that’s what we have here. The entire US legal system and our high priced lawyers failed us. And the decision where to file was a monumental mistake. That’s why I feel we are here today.
Why are you harping on this topic all day? I truly hope there’s no merit to your theory, time will tell. But given everything we’ve been through wouldn’t you agree its more plausible management is just inept and made a series of awful decisions vs intentionally tanking it? It just doesn’t make sense, so what, five or six guys make out better than the rest of the entire company? And yes there would likely be jail time for those involved after a lengthy investigation.
Thanks for the link Kiwi, very helpful. Ten years I believe was the minimum with potential for extensions to 2039 possible yes?
I was referring to THEIR (BB) position
Hated by the retail posters of this and other message boards. Retail is always the last to know so let’s see which institutions sold and which didn’t. That will tell me more than any speculation out of myself, you or others. Let’s say if BB dumps half or more we are in trouble and the private talk will gain traction. Let’s hope not.
More the AG topic. Thanks. I see how you feel about management I just don’t think the private bit is realistic. That’s just me. Things on these boards catch on like wild fire (sorry to the folks on the west coast for that analogy) but there’s too many big firms still invested to allow that to happen. Again, JMO
Right. There are options. They may not be ideal at this moment but they are there. Hence the silence while they work on them which is personally KILLING ME SLOWLY. That said this is war now and you don’t show your hand until after you’ve put your attack plan in motion. It would be foolish to egg on the bully who beat you down and state what your plans are for revenge when you’re still on the ground with a wound so fresh and bloody.
Show me where this ever been discussed before someone (poster) suggesting it within the last week or two? This is not what’s happening here IMO. It’s pure speculation of some based on emotions (and losses) at an all time high.
But let’s say you’re right. What does that look like? They’re better off scorching the earth and going OTC to fight the generics. Although this is not my realm of expertise so the AG vs OTC topic is something I would like to look further. Appreciate others feedback on this
Tasty although we’ve only interacted a few times over the years, you’re someone who I’m glad to see posting again. This is the low point of this ride and it can’t get much worse IMO. Our Eagles are also in the shitter, too. Wentz better wake up soon or we will have nothing to watch the rest of the season. GLTU
There has to be a plan. You don’t just sit around with one of the greatest lifesaving drugs ever and sit on your hands once you get beat up. Yes we’ve suffered multiple beatings but the remedy now is not quick. If JT didn’t try en banc folks would kick and scream. Hell even with trying people are still screaming. It’s a Hail Mary at best but why not try? I applaud the efforts to do so. It costs nothing (except a $300 contribution for me). EB denied and you then petition SC. What else realistically can you do right now? SC petition also not high odds. Pps will suffer further on those denials. Then Nov the Generics launch. More suffering. More pps pain. But it’s around this time when you have one last fight left in you and like Rocky you end up going the distance to a draw. Now, that distance (US speaking only) is the announcement of AG by JT, or a partnership with one of the G’s (which I say fuck ‘em). You volume play the AG, gain EU approval, tie up API and make it impossible for any other G launch to make a decent margin in the US. That draw then becomes a win and EU becomes the savior of the company. That’s how I see it.
Personally I pray for BO in the next 6 months so I can just recover some (don’t need all, am not greedy) and move on with life. It’s hard to watch today. Someone just dumped their shares and I doubt it’s Baker Bros. They’re not dumb. So maybe it’s just time to tune out a bit until some thing positive comes out. Easier said then done when you’ve been on this board every day for years...
Dancing great catch
She is listed in the directory...
It was also posted on the Amarin Facebook page and remains there. If she’s reading this board there’s no reason to assume she wouldn’t check out the Facebook page from time to time. Or other forums. My guess is some employees are also a part of the FB page, too. Which leads me to my next comment. For whatever this is worth, most of the executive team is not listed in the company directory when you call the main number. No JT, Kennedy, Berg, Mikhail, etc. Since Karim returned my LinkedIn message I figured what the hell and wanted to reach out. I’m in sales and track executives down for a living. While I don’t feel this is uncommon I just wanted to share what I found from playing around in the company directory for a few mins. No surprise I guess that our execs aren’t easily reachable. Or don’t want to be. Other execs extensions (via transfer not the actual extension) were listed.
Yes!! That’s right!! Fu Covid! Fu Du!! Fu Hikma!!! Fu 2020!!!!
I’m really not a materialistic type of guy. This was college fund money for my boys, paying off the family (shared) beach house and whatever else came up. Now I’m honestly glad to get $10 in the future. Unbelievable how a few months changes your perspective on things. That said and I’ll say it again. My health is good. My wife and boys are awesome. Work is good. Easier said than done but we try to remain positive as possible, as the negative vibes will ruin your mental state and outlook on life if you don’t focus on what’s really important (hint - it’s not stock gains/losses).
Best to you!
It will be used for a keg party in the Bridgewater parking lot
What part? That the company reads message boards? Or that mgt will remain silent because of the actions of shareholders? The latter half was just speculation...(IMO)
Yes the Monday morning quarterbacking is relentless. That’s a fact. None of us are part of the BOD or involved in management decision making. At the same time people here have every right to be upset. Every right to demand answers. However what good does any of this do us now? Very little. The legal system and lawyers they hired fcked us. Plain and simple. So here we are. We have to fight our way out, again. They aren’t going private, that’s just another message board conspiracy theory. The drugs is amazing, it LITERALLY SAVES LIVES and is an easy bolt on acquisition for a larger BP with a EU sales force already in place. If we don’t have BO announced shortly after EU approval I’m going to pick a date and sell out regardless of pps. Then again, that’s how I feel today. Future actions by the company can change that idea. One can hope.
JT has to want to get something (besides free awards) and move onto the next phase of his career/life. Right? I know I sure do. This was the year for me as I was selling half in June, that was the plan anyways. Then BAM!! Patent blindside. My bad. Now I’m a long hold. Again. God help us. Please.
Yep. This isn’t a pissing contest but I was well over double that loss, not to mention friends and family who bought in when POA was $20 or more. It makes me sick and why I keep asking folks such as dmiller for their feedback. I never made the decision to buy based on input from message boards, nor will I sell based on the same principle. But retail is always the last to know unless they have connections, as some clearly do here. I’m not asking anyone to predict the future. I’m not asking management to share their attack plan for GIA and/or AG rollout and tip their hand to the generics. I’m just trying to gauge if there IS a plan they’re actively working on. Clearly there’s a lot to attend to, en banc and SC, business as “usual” in the US, what our plan is when Hikma launches in a few weeks, EU letter response and approval, more EU hires, BO negotiations, etc. I’ve learned to be patient over the years here. This is next level patience not knowing a single damn thing about what management is now thinking. Frustrating.
This is the lowest point for me personally during my entire time invested here. It’s equal parts pps in the shitter and the unknown strategy of management post appeal loss (besides the announced GIA ploy). I’m doing best to hang on, is just tough on the psyche at the moment.
Name calling aside, am still interested to hear how/why you support management. If you care to share your thoughts? You obviously have contacts and know how some of this works. How do you think this plays out next 6-12 months? TIA
I don’t agree. JT was on the cusp of being a billionaire and now it’s claimed he’s intentionally tanking the company just to take it private? I don’t think so. We are here as a result of poor planning, lack of risk management and a bit of a pompous attitude. The remedy here is not a quick fix. There will be better days ahead.
Can you elaborate any further on this?
In that weird email (supposedly) from JT didn’t he said he listened to investors about not agreeing to unfavorable settlement terms? I don’t recall who provided that email last time. But if in fact it was Baker Bros who advised JT against settling than I doubt they would dump their shares at these levels. My guess is they too would ride this out to a better future based on that awful guidance. What other investors could he be referring to that hold as much weight as BB?
Dmiller is right on this point. Management already said GIA was the plan so there’s nothing else for them to announce at this time. Unfortunately they don’t have to say anything else and we just have to sit here and wait. That’s the shit end of this retail stick. Until we file for en banc or have firm update on EU I don’t anticipate we will hear a single thing. IR is zero help with all her passive responses to the (valid) questions from this board.
Agreed! If they don’t buy in after the first few sentences then we have little chance they’ll give the remaining body of the petition much thought.
No one reads the fine print. Smh...
Fantastic, Irish. Thank you. Never give up
Any link to that Merck deal you mentioned?
Agreed. Nice work boys. I would rather us make the attempt and not succeed than to never try and never know if we could have made a difference. Let’s hope this gains some attention prior to filing date.
Agreed. Should be shared on Facebook site, ST, IV, etc to gain as much support as possible
Agree with what you’re saying I just think there’s no chance JT is crafty enough to strike a deal with any of the generics.
Congrats on the move! 20 years of papers...good luck with that haha
Sent you an email...
Marjac, BB - thank you for these efforts. I would like to believe that most here who are still invested should be interested in contributing, although I can only speak for myself.
Was thinking along the same lines. Who else could he have been referring to?
You know, it was a very painful transcript to read. I’ve taken training courses where you pitch an audience and then provide self critique on the video playback. One can learn a lot from these simple techniques so why is it so hard for JT to improve his public speaking. It’s been like this for years give me a break! Or maybe someone else should be speaking.
Nice analysis thank you HK
Yeah I hear you. It’s just the company doesn’t have many options at this point. Maybe just two? GIA and future (post EU approval) BO. I don’t see a partnership with any generics. He doesn’t have it in him to craft a deal like that. When the BOD says go it’s time to go no matter where they are in the GIA process
It sure is. Until it isn’t!
Thank you for the play by play
