Can I change my pick from MOSH to...
a pile of shit? Cuz that'll be worth ten bags before MOSH Units will.

Agreed. We sure talked up our Attorneys, but they lack Balls of Any Sort, let alone Balls of Iron.
Unless, of course, we get millions and millions for the properties (which I'd like to figure out what these numbers might be. The $375,000 would just be the amount of escrow... NOT the estimated purchase price)
Right.. I'll look through the iBox, but do you remember any numbers thrown out?
Might there be any recent sales from this area?
You bolded the wrong part. What's important is this:
"..... Accordingly, the final distribution of net settlement and sales proceeds by the Trust to its 71,980,216 outstanding units of beneficial interest may be materially less than the gross settlement and sales proceeds. "
In other words, it's just boiler-plate settlement language explaining that the $ to the nit holders may be less than the settlement $ - because of the attorney fees.
Looks like the new CFO has some incentives...
Thanks for posting!
Sorry, didn't mean to imply that I'm disagreeing with you per se, and I'm unhappy with what's occurred as well.
I'm hopeful though and will defend our Democratic way of government as much as people will complain about those WE put in office (who, furthermore, are also from OUR educational system and society).
In my opinion, we only have ourselves to blame, and we'll only have ourselves to praise - not the 545.
Put another way: those 545 didn't just appear like a rabbit out of a hat...
Drivel, because those 545 people...
are voted in by the 300 million people.
Democracy is the worst form of government except all the others that have been tried.
- Sir Winston Churchill
You serious Clarke? You think because you predicted today correctly (when most of us idiots could have), it absolves you of the horrible calls on this in the past?
When's TWB earnings, if you know off hand? Thanks; I'll also try to figure it out.
MOSH
$0.30
Thanks. What does the winner get?
I assume your "work to catch up on" = Spending Time on IHub.
Which got me thinking:
* You've been an IHub member since August 2003, so about 5 years and 7 months, or 2035 days.
* You've logged 46,332 public posts.
* Ball park average 10 minutes per post (some took 2 seconds, but many required extensive DD!)
Do the math, and you've spent about 3.8 hours(!!) per day getting posts ready for IHub. (this doesn't count the time spent reading posts!)
Impressive!
Are you really? Would love to be in town for it.
MOSH: mentioned here before. Something fishy going on? Might be worth some play money...

EGMI: No news? Seems like the recent earnings report and CC would be the News responsible for the legitimate run, in my opinion.
Pick me! Pick me! I could save a TON on birth control!
For example, succeeding with women would be a new idea for me, so I've been devouring the book "How to Succeed With Women".
Nice! With all due respect, would this be preaching to the choir, or would these be different ideas for you?
(Just wondering... I like to read all sorts of crap, especially if it might challenge my current views)
It would be very nice to be able to agree with you STRONG and I understand exactly what you're saying.
However the fact is is that A/R's have continued to expand and this has damaged everything about the company... hence the current stock price.
I am holding my shares and added recently, as I think the A/R issue will get resolved at some point. One can only assume that the company's owners/executives are thinking to themselves "Why be in business if we're not going to get paid?" and they are resolving to do just that. (I am betting my assumptions are correct - the evidence is that the business is too good to just let it go)
Checked my local Target, and yes, they had 6 MyPlace Cozys. FWIW
New Options Trader mistake of the year:
On March 3rd I bought April WFC calls, $13.00 strike. They were $0.05 and the others around it weren't too far off (WFC was only around $9.00).
A few weeks ago I did a little research and found these calls are a different type and I still have little idea how to explain it, and have no idea how to value these calls still.
Long story short I'm still holding these calls at $0.05, and if I had bought the traditional "1 for 100" $14.00 calls at around 20 cents, I would be selling them today for $4.50...
Puke?
K, thanks. Thanks for your time and effort.
The point is that ALIF was one of their stocks... just like UVE was. As the list stands now they only include stocks on the list and those they "exited" for a gain - without including stocks they "exited" for a loss in '09.
It's cool though and I still very much enjoy the board. But if I'm going to keep paying for their services, dammit, I want transparency!
Right on! I like the "trade completed" symbol with the entry and exit prices - and then the gain (loss) can certainly be added into the overall return. Would like to see ALIF in the list (and any others that were "exited" in '09), now that you have the ability to report.
Obama would be proud of the transparency...
"Old News" as of December 1st 2008 when they started deferring.. how long can it go on before the piper says "pay me!"?
How long can they put off resolving the notes? EOM
I'll take this video instead, the truth about the DIA airport:
FWIW, checked out my Boulder CO BB&B. They had MyPlace Cozy's (about 8... looked like there were maybe twice as many originally) and the original MyPlace. There were no Cozy's last time I checked a couple months ago.
They also had a nice display of Hercules Hooks. Didn't look for anything else... had a dinner and drinks to get to.
Will check the Target here soon, maybe this weekend?
Not sure what the issue is with Mike's thought (which was clearly just speculation).
Stranger things have happened!
No buyers for MOSH properties. That judge wasn't born yesterday!
Hilarious! Hopefully it doesn't take MOSH 13 tries to get their settlement/judgment money..
Hard to believe anyone will buy with the trial in the works but we'll see... any buyer will likely get entangled up in the mess.
I like that the judge let the auction go through without further legal proceedings... it keeps us on track for trial and is just another example of how PXD is not holding up their fiduciary duty to the MOSH trust.
In my opinion.
MOSH: If anyone is still in, the trial looks to be on schedule to start April 13, and there is an auction for our properties going on today... lots of info on the MOSH board.
Would love to have a play-by-play. Any Harry Caray's in the group?
What value would you place on...
WFC calls, 4/18/09 expiration, strike price $13.00? (BWDDO)
There are formulas out there but thought someone might have an opinion... right now they are at $0.05
Thanks for any thoughts-
Buffett said the same thing in his recent interview on CNBC - that the banks are getting such cheap money now, there's no way they aren't making money "hand over fist". It's incentivizing them to lend.
Which was the point all along, I think.
Sign of credit flowing?
One of the communities we are in has just secured $30 million in bonds to continue their reconstruction. A good sign?
“Prior to the economic downturn, you would see the financing of as many as three or four continuing care retirement communities (CCRC) nationally each month,” Dennis Jones, managing director for Stifel, Nicolaus, said in a statement Friday. “This is the first non-rated, fixed-interest CCRC financing in the nation since September 2008.”

Porn in the USA: Conservatives are biggest consumers
"Eight of the top 10 pornography consuming states gave their electoral votes to John McCain in last year's presidential election – Florida and Hawaii were the exceptions. While six out of the lowest 10 favoured Barack Obama."

... not that I think porn is "bad" per se... just thought this was a good response to your post.. heh heh
Guiding for $0.55 for 2010... still a current PE of more than 50! Wonder if the growth rate still justifies??
