I posted a new survey; who's going to the shareholders meeting and approx how many shares do you own. go to the task bar and click survey and it's at the bottom of the page.....I'll post the results
the very top post highlighted in yellow can only be changed, added or deleted by a moderator.
There has been a few posters who have recommended sticky's but since i'm currently the only moderator only 1 can be displayed. Any other longs care to moderate?
Agreed; r/s and uplift
It's not huge......worth about 25k
This is great news, not only did we get the fixed system but also the portable for this award.
FIREARM TRAINING SIMULATORS FOR DURANGO AND TAMAULIPAS STATE ACADEMIES: 1 PORTABLE AND 1 FIXED FIREARMS TRAINING SIMULATOR, RECOIL KITS, AND RELATED ACCESSORIES. INCLUDES INSTALLATION AND 3-YEAR WARRANTY IN COUNTRY.
In todays report he owns 14,539,916 which is down from 16,389,915....Bob would have also recieved 100,000 shares last quarter which is a difference of 1.9 million
I meant to bring that up.....It's down from last qtr by roughly 2 million shares. Did he sell some? what could be the reason?
We have been waiting patiently for many, many years for VirTra to make its mark in simulation training. The niche they carved out is being recognized both here in the US and internationally. I look forward to 35-40% growth year over year for the next 5 years.
Congrats to all longs here
VirTra Reports Record 2016 First Quarter Revenue of $6.2 Million, Net Income of $2.4 Million

See post #37660
May need to up those numbers a little bit depending on if and when the $1.2 mil secret service order is completed.
IMO 1st qtr 2016 should be the best quarter Virtra has has to date beating the previous of 3.9 mil for 3rd Qtr 2015.
We should recognize the last 5 CBP Simulation installs which were anticipated to clear by the end of March. Est. value 1.5 mil
Recognize a portion of the $1+ million dollar contract announced on Nov 17th 2015. Est value $300k
Recognize a portion of the $3.6 million order announced Nov 23rd 2015. Est value $800k
Misc Law enforcement, security, and virtual range installations. Est value $1.5 mil.
Still haven't had a PR announcement regarding Canadian Order? Protest maybe?
I'm expecting $4.1 mil +
Am I missing anything? Modern Round?
Got this in my Twitter feed
This training is INTENSE! I'll take you inside VirTra 300 Tuesday night on @CBS4local at 10pm. youtu.be/LouuSGim1hA via @YouTube
FYI, this is a site I've used weekly for over ten years to find new contract info regarding DOD contracts over 7 Million. If and when the contract dollars are obligated to either Virtra or FAAC it will be posted here first.
http://www.defense.gov/News/Contracts
Right on Bill. we should hear about the annual shareholders meeting within the next 20 days.....hopefully we have some new items to vote on.
IMHO Virtra has the advantage over FAAC/Milo in securing the majority of this contract. From what I've read the DOS is requesting 15 portable systems to be housed in portable tractor trailers and 45 fixed muultiscreen sims. It makes sense that Milo will get the portables and virtra the fixed sims.
Virtra advantages
threat fire return system(shock & vibrate models)
Unique software that can upload Pano backrounds through a smartphone to the V-author system that can than drag & drop items to create a scenario in as little as 10 minutes. This feature was essential in winning the CBP order in 2014. the customer can go out and take local pics of areas and drop them in to make a new scenario....think how useful that is when your selling globally and how much time this reduces.
Virtra won a patent dispute against FAAC/Milo that prohibits them from using a threatfire type capability.... they can still use a shootback canon though buts it's not as effective and harder to use and setup.
Eschrine, my thoughts too!
The writings on the wall
"VirTra is currently seeking a Program Manager to direct and manage various projects involving international government simulation projects."
http://jobview.monster.com/Program-Manager-PMP-Certified-Job-Tempe-AZ-US-166025295.aspx?mescoid=1300093001001&jobPosition=1
If I didn't already have a shit ton of shares I would be buying more ;)
It's hard to say why these two contractors were selected since they basically sell the exact same systems except Virtra has the threat-fire and Milo uses a shootback cannon + or - some software Features. I'm pleased that Virtra is able to protect some of those features through patents giving them an edge.
Yes
The contract is a multiple award IDIQ contract which means multiple vendors indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity. It appears only two vendors were awarded the contract, Virtra and FAAC/milo systems.
26. FAIR OPPORTUNITY PROCESS FOR DELIVERY ORDERS
(a) The contracting officer shall give every awardee a fair opportunity to be considered for a delivery-order ex- ceeding $3,000 unless one of the statutory exceptions in FAR 16.505(b)(2) applies.
The contract is fully funded, the maximum value of the contract is 40 million and if I remember correctly the contract period date ends 4/06/2021
FYI, Virtras new site is up.
Since the cats out of the bag..... Two contractors, Virtra and FAAC/MILO systems were both awarded a piece of this contract so IMO the likelyhood of it being disputed are small.
The link below is what they've requested to purchase and these systems will be installed CONUS and abroad.

I can only speculate here but it makes sense if we get the 45 fixed sims w/ threat belts and FAAC gets the 15 portable sims. Accessories and software will be appropriated base on sims.
We'll just have wait and see when it's official.
There is about a 10-30 day window when someone can submit a protest. If a competitor of virtra is checking the message board and they see the information on the award then they might decide to submit a protest within the time period.
VirTra, like many companies who compete on government contracts, may decline to submit a press release until the protest window expires.
This happened not to long ago with the ESTII contract back in 2014. Meggitt training systems was awarded the 99 million order but didn't release it publicly until after the 3+ months. Cubic protested the award and it was pushed back.
I can't speak for Virtra but they probably don't want to stick their foot in their mouth. they will act like a defense company and wait until they feel it's clear.
The videos posted were from IR video based companies. One of them has several packages for any given XYZ company(see below). I'm speculating that since Virtra has a new profile and a recent release it could mean that news is coming and the shit we've been waiting for is about to hit the fan. ;)

Could Virtra be on the verge of self promoting through these service sites?
would be a good time if they plan on a reverse split, an uplisting along with a myriad of quality PR's.
Been wondering the same thing RStevens.....IMO, would be a good time to vote on a reverse split. In favor if it's between 1 for 10-20
Update; last of the CBP order will be completed this month
"The Use of Force Center of Excellence has deployed use of force virtual training
simulators to the field. CBP is installing 27 virtual training simulators at locations across
the country with the last five to be installed by the end of March 2016."

Good article.....More data validating virtras platform and training content

Maybe the politics have changed. 6.2mil by 15 could be a v-300 for $413k.
Nice find eschrine! First statewide proposal for a use of force training program I've seen.
When it comes to Marksmanship training simulators MEGGITT and CUBIC have been the industry leaders for over a decade and it's going to be very difficult for Virtra to to penatrate nationally without larger partners. I believe this contract was part of the EST-II contract awarded in 2014 which from what i've heard Virtra bid on it with LMT.
When it comes to use of force simulators which is still a fairly new market Virtra is clearly becoming a leader and would expect many national and international contracts to follow. Now that Virtra has the V-ST pro marksmmanship trainer IMO and it's fair to say any Marksmanship simulators will be international not national....
It's good to see more and more training academy's adding Virtras platforms to their training curriculum. It bodes well for the future......here is another one to add to the growing list.
