It may take another six months for the price to rise but management keep mentioning July 31, they must meet this date and prove mass production. One would expect they would have the cards earlier than that as they would already factored in delays.
Looking forward to hearing of a successful mass production.

SmartMetric Biometric Payments Card
Three weeks until it all changes. It's been a long hard bumpy road but if it pans out as expected, good times are ahead.
And most people don't trust using their phone for payments. I've never used it!
SMME is also a security card with endless possible applications such as airport security, border pass, drivers license and passports.
Credit cards are only the beginning.
Well if all things go to plan, we will have the world's first biometric, mass produced card in the next few weeks.
I can't wait to hear who will be first to trial it and place an order.
Will it be a credit card, bank card, security card or some other application..... The long, hard wait could be over... Getting excited!
Well they have repeatedly set the date of July 31. Whilst previous manufacturing time frames have been missed and has frustrated shareholders, we have never seen this level of commitment to a date before.
It's not the time to be negative..... Just maybe the potential is starting to materialise.....
Nicely done Mattski......
Not too long to go.
Well the video gets the message across and certainly looks better than the chunky Zwipe. Let's hope the production process works efficiently. Good times ahead ! I feel like a coffee now.....
Still more buyers than sellers....
Smme gets a write up in quality stocks.

The website www.smartmetric.com now has a chat forum. It's under the investors icon. Now you all can express your concerns directly. I just hope questions are answered and its not there to look pretty.
I certainly sense things are improving with this company.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to meet the Ceo on this trip. I've been reassured all is going well for what is worth.
I also won't be passing through San Diego sorry Mr Nuts. I'm currently in Toronto and grade home via Vancouver. Next time maybe.
I don't know what to say after reading PoorP-s comments but for what is worth the website has been updated and I am currently in North America and hoping my travel plans will coincide with the CEO. No luck so far.....
I'm sure it's just a snippet and there is more to come. I just found a close up look of the card as well.

Here it is folks! It's a little raw but first sighting of the smartmetric card in operation.

Very good post. I suspect Visa card is quietly laughing at mastercard's choice of investing in Zswipe. I might add, their investment is only pocket change.
Chaya has pointed out in numerous posts about the difficulties of minimising the circuitry. I remember being told the SMME card had to have a long range and short range RFID frequency so doors or gates could be opened 30 metres away on approach.
This was a Homeland Security requirement for its use as a security card.
The circuit board had to be reconfigured and it took the best part of a year to get right and avoid interference with the inbuilt antenna.
Zswipe has a lot more research and development before it will meet requirements of the marketplace.
It still annoys me SMME didn't release a security card first. It would have been an easier sell. Anyway, we move on....
Seriously, there is no opposition, yet. Of course, we can't afford any more delays but there is time to get this product to market. This sector is in vogue at the moment. It's gaining lots of attention. The timing is perfect, We just need a few things to go our way. Chin up peeps.....
The Zswipe card technology will be will be redundant before it finishes the trial period next year. Again, it cannot be used in an ATM machine or a reader at point of sale. It relies on tap n go purchases only. What if you need cash? Pull out another card with old fashion chip and pin....lol.
It's a given that smartmetric's card has been painfully slow and frustrating for investors but the technology far outstrips that card.

For around $4 a month for biometric security and to have the latest prestige gadget? of course the banks will pay and pass the cost on to customers.... It's a no brainer!

Amendment...This issue would not be a problem with a SMME card. The card us dormant until switched on with the owners thumb print.

This issue would not happen with a SMME card as the card is dormant unless turned on with your thumb print.

Good read. note MKS back on the Agenda.
You can't just make the claim, where is your argument? I've seen the thinness of the smme card and I can see the zbrick will not fit in an atm machine. Long way to go and minimisation is not easy.
Smme developed their own sensor whilst the zbrick is an off the shelf product.
I don't think I mention testing but I can answer the question. The SMME prototype card has undertaken numerous testing procedures including heat, cold and even wallet wear. I had that discussion directly with the CEO years ago.
I was very impressed with the reverse circuitry security feature that if the card is melted down there is an element that will destroy the circuit board preventing duplication etc.
It seemed quite robust to me.
Fresh news, there was a broker road show held last night in New York with a large group of retail investors. Most no doubt will be checking these blogs today.
Be interesting to see if there is any on-market buying this week as a consequence. Veterans Day today though.
I'm guessing the CEO is pouring over the institutional offers and picking the best.
Hope to hear more soon. Keep positive.
Ok time for a update.
Firstly, in regards to zswipe or zbrick as I'll call it.
It's 5 times thicker than SMME!
It has inferior sensor that is well known to the market and may not even meet regulatory requirements.
The card is still only a prototype and not ready for production for at least 12 months as they stated. Mind you, they have a lot of work to do to minimise the size first.
Whilst they have a funding arrangement with mcard they are not ahead of SMME’S card and have years of research and development to go. Their card has no battery and was demonstrated at a point of sale as a tap n go card. ATM machines are not contactless tap n go so how do you get cash out?
Zbrick is not a competitor yet. I might make the call to Visa myself.....
Seriously, the company has informed us all that the medical key ring has been shelved until the card is in production. The plan for the MKR is to link with a health fund or large retail distributor.
This is common knowledge.
Come on ole posters hang in there. I don't represent or intentionally mislead anyone. I have for years shared many of my thoughts and frustrations and even offered to host the party if you all remember.
I'll also lead the revolt if anything underhanded has occurred.
I've been busy reviewing the zswipe card and will divulge some information about it shortly. It's not as advanced as you may think.... More to come.
My fellow frustrated investors, please don't read into my comments that I am privy to information that is not publicly stated.
I am only trying to make sense of where the company is at and what needs to be done. We all know Oberon is on board and much needed funding is being arranged. I simply don't see the point slamming the Directors on a public forum when they are trying to get us over the next important hurdle.
Every investor is entitled to call the Chairman or CEO and discuss the company progress. I continually do this with most of my stock holdings and in SMME case, I requested a meeting to see the card five years ago whilst travelling through Miami. The CEO was happy to oblige and I keep contact lines open.
Furthermore, I work in the banking game and have held discussions with high level executives about a biometric security card and whether they would be interested. I kept my cards close to me chest until the time was right to mention smme. Obviously, that hasn't happened and I have moved on. Nonetheless, they declared they would be interested and I comfortable with my holdings.
I have always loved the story and also been bitterly disappointed on the delays. In hindsight I would have done things differently. In saying that, Just think for a moment how difficult it would be to bring technology like this to the market from scratch on a shoestring budget. Hmmmm.
You all would have made many errors and probably given up by now. Well, we are still alive and close to nailing a funding deal that gets us the cards that we need to demonstrate and win contracts.
The worlds view on biometrics has also changed. America has only now moved away from the strip! Imagine Chaya selling biometrics when America was rejecting the chip n pin that Europe had for years.
Chin up guys, it's time to be supportive and fight the fight. The Dukes on your side.
It is my understanding that there has been a few working prototypes for sometime but it's lacked any fancy graphics or design and deemed unsuitable to use in a presentation.
Once the capital is injected, they are expected to make a few thousand cards and distribute for trials and demonstrations.
I know there are many companies and banks that are waiting for this next step to begin.
For me, the investment risk in SMME was not about their ability to sell a card but whether it could be mass produced.
Produce the card and the business will come.
No I'm not that close but I wonder if the funding is finalised Hmmm.
Good info, bilbo. The SMME battery is like a deflated balloon and recharges when inserted into a reader.
I always felt even if the card fails this technology could be sold for profit.
Clients - interest in a biometric card has been widespread. I have heard rumours of Banks in North America, Europe, Asia and now South Africa expressing interest in a biometric card that SMME have.
All it will take is for the team to raise the cash and start mass producing cards. The business is there for the taking. This card will be in high demand there is no doubt about that.
This technology has already captured the imagination of all investors. Don't give up now as It seems they are close to delivering the product. Get the cash, produce the cards and sign the contracts. Keep the dream alive. I need a whiskey!
Manufacturing..... Argentina is for software development.
Israel plant is producing the circuit boards and have high tech robotic machinery. This is where the chief engineer resides. Israel has a massive high tech Silicon Valley area and leads the world in many areas of technical expertise.
Thailand will be producing the card itself and will market the card to their huge client base. It has been suggested that maybe the Israeli operation could be moved to Thailand to be closer to the manufacturing plant. Stay tuned. Chaya was recently in Thailand working with the manufacturers.
Funding - bilbo inadvertently mislead you all. The statement from the CEO was once funding is finalised it will be within 90 days before cards are produced.
Funding is reliant on SEC approval where each institutional investor has to prove the strict due diligence guidelines have been followed. Oberon are working closely with numerous investors to get this right. Unfortunately, it takes time. Should not be too much longer though.
Ok, the Duke has heard enough! I can't believe some of the self defeating blogs I'm reading now. There seems to be a lot of misinformed or people deliberately misleading others with false information.
I will now climb upon my high horse and endeavour to correct a few myths.
Firstly, I'm a ten year investor and made it my business to have communication lines with the people in the company. My holding dwarfs others that have mentioned their stake. I have met the CEO in Miami simply by requesting a meeting. I saw the card five years ago and played with the pieces. The battery itself was cutting edge technology and very impressive. The card was not working at that point so I did not see it operate. I did rub my thumb across the sensor though and enjoyed an in depth discussion on the revolutionary security features that prevents reverse engineering. You would not believe the efforts the CEO has gone to to get this aspect of the card right. You could say, it involved dancing with the devil.
I am well aware of the frustrations and false starts of the past and sorry you all were not millionaires overnight as you hoped.
In ten years both the CEO and Aust Rep have taken my calls and returned calls. Suggestions they are fraudulent or liars is simply wrong and lacks the empathy and understanding of how difficult it is to raise money in the States for a RnD company and introduce a biometric banking card that will revolutionise the powerful banking system. I concur with LMU. No doubt mistakes were made and opportunities missed but we are all guilty of that. I personally would have preferred to have seen a simpler biometric security card released first. Just think of airport security or military sites all been protected biometrically.
I will add further posts now updating what I know but please don't throw the baby out with the bath water with inaccurate and offensive comments that will only make raising capital more difficult.
I see that the Iphone upgrade has affected the use of Isecurity. That's right, if you were relying on the fingerprint security on your phone to get money or make payments once you upgraded to IOS8 then too bad for you. I prefer the card anyday.
