interesting that he left out the nol value in that article
original os share count of wmi I think was 1.7b
yeah, you're probably right...then 90% correct.
it's based on speculation of what retained asset value/safe harbored assets in wmi legacy holders and whether any of the new shares will be used in exchange for the escrow markers currently held in releasing shareholders brokerage accounts.
100% correct conclusion
according to the release we become 64% owners
nsm traded between 14 and 20 bucks over the past 52 weeks and are owned 99% by institutions, so i'm not really understanding all this discontent over the most positive news to come out since march of 2012. some here are purely ridiculous.
yup, fishin' for a lead plaintiff
...I own WMIH.
...and I can't believe how much I love more everyday that I didn't make decisions that resulted in ESCROWS.
hilarious
thanks, appreciate that.
maybe they have a better idea where it will open today. I've tried to pull up l2 on ameritrade but it's not working yet...tried it 4 times.
under the cover of what is now cannacash...well, bob I think we've figured it out. latest polls show 59% of Americans in support of legalization...it's probably actually higher, because some people don't feel like conversing with pollsters....remember the last election, lots of different polls, only one or two were right throughout.
yeah, well last time I checked
old news
WHO CARES , THEY USED TO SHOOT INDIANS, Used to Own slaves, used to hang a man pretty much on the spot for stealing a horse.........
The feds fought it for so many years because they made BIG MONEY in DRUGS!!!!!!!! That's now changed, so they best get with the time , good or bad
no, no, I agree with you, it makes perfect sense on a whole bunch of levels. what happens when all of a sudden those cannadollars that are now largely cash, gets banked and circulated in the economy? BOOM...like the gold rush. people already come here because it is hands down the best place on planet earth, and this would be just one more reason. I suggested it to the bod at the sh meeting a couple of years ago. they never answered me. I know they received it, it was confirmed.
are you alluding to my cannabank suggestion? Canada will be legal by summer. I don't see our banks accepting that money in this country until congress gets of their asses and undoes the harm that tricky dick did back in the 70's(remember, tricky dick did not like the vets), when they purposely left it on the schedule 1 list in spite of the fact they KNEW it should not have been there in the first place. fact
maybe so kkr can shed their corporate raider history.
The notification has no immediate effect on the Nasdaq listing of the Company's stock. The Company has 180 calendar days, or until May 14, 2018, to regain compliance with the minimum bid price requirement. To regain compliance during this initial 180 day period, the closing bid price of the Company's common stock must meet or exceed $1.00 for a minimum of 10 consecutive business days, whereupon, Nasdaq will provide the Company a written confirmation of compliance and the matter will be closed. In the event that WMIH Corp. does not regain compliance before the expiration of the Compliance Period, the Company may be eligible for additional time.
yep, first time I've agreed with you
I know. didn't say you did. I have felt this is being absolutely controlled for a reason; if they do a reverse now wouldn't that de-value the free common shares that the bod take as compensation for doing whatever it is that they are doing? I don't see any reverse split now. At some point in time the bod has to reveal what is going on behind the curtain. I don't see them as opening the curtain and we see they have not fulfilled their fiduciary duty to the stakeholders. then you have the institutional investors who absolutely have to fulfill their fiduciary duty to their constituency as well and I don't see them fleeing due to the board doin' the "rope a dope" with regard to r/s.
do a r/s just to stay listed on the nasdaq?! how about create value in order to stay listed on the nasdaq. I believe that's the way it is normally done. we know what's here..at least we think we do, and we know there is absolutely value here already and that's why the spread is so thin. jmho
so you're thinking a r/s before releasing any of those additional 3+ billion shares? why, to shake out non-legacy non-escrow recipient holders?
why is someone going to buy after a r/s with no stated business plan going forward? I think the r/s talk is to scare people like you and me into selling their shares. ...ain't happenin' here. after this many years the actual loss has been dealt with, so whatever comes back will be like found money and since we can't actually count on its certainty, most won't have earmarks to be spent on. jmo
...and separate you from your shares
glut of market makers working this one and has been for a few weeks.
only time will prove that and it surely will, one way or another
I first got in 2013 after watching a piece on fox business and at the time they supposedly were working in some capacity with the cannabis program at the university of Mississippi. at the time I bought in b/t .30 & .50/sh, so about all I can do is average down over time and hope something happens on the way. that was the most info I had and bought that minute. glty
i didn't copy it. i saw it on TDA under sec filings filed at 4:16 today..had to do with employees(current trust) duties and pay.
new 8k just out
yeah, I remember that day when rosen told the judge he had every possible scenario in his briefcase(s)..or words to that effect. if they're good, they're ready.
wow,I had the same thought a couple days ago about whether or not they really did lose a deal that they couldn't tell their shareholders about, but you've taken it to a whole new level.
that really depends on the share count...I'm a bit of a bid whacker. I try to buy at the low of the day if possible. everyone has their own style.
great post, agree 100%...and I'd bet there are firms already watching to see how this does shake out. I think the bankruptcy judge still has jurisdiction until the case is closed.
i'm sure you were watching it, they've been keeping the bid/ask tight, tight. I'm good, i'll keep on buying under a buck when I can.
...better hope not..for us its great.. for you it's dilution
that would mean the bod hasn't so far fulfilled its fiduciary duty, yet it has continued enriching themselves via free shares as compensation for supposedly working to build share value for the shareholders at large as well as the ones that "serve" on the board. so I'm gonna hope they honor that and take it seriously. if you have 5.6 bn in nol tax credits in a relatively good and growing economy and you can't find a profitable company to do a deal with. makes one wonder if there really ever was a deal a couple years back that they said the couldn't talk about. I don't know how this will all shake out any more or less than anyone else, but getting screwed a second time by likely some of the same group should be unacceptable to everyone here. it really is interesting how fast this board changes moods though. but I keep on buying when I get the opportunity. aimo
it was at the bid, I'm not a chaser.
took me half day to fill @.95
yep, as I posted last year...when I received the last payment from the trust my position disappeared from my trading account. after I received the payment and after my position no longer showed up in my trading account, I received a statement from the trust, no different from any others that I'd previously received and it still showed an outstanding balance owed to me. maybe this speaks to the impairment issue that some here have alluded to. like this is where they fake the end of the waterfall.
and I do appreciate that.
I seem to remember Geithner bragging about after it was passed on the sunday shows.
