Variation on a classic Kool-Aid drinker's theory:
The DTC is probally scratching their heads and trying to figure out how to distribute the divi shares with the billions of Naked Short Counterfit Shares that they allowed to accumulate....
This is the start of cloud computing and the real hay day of streaming video.
Some people had some stock to sell. Others bought.
Dump the bump!
That's Mr. Meaner to you.
Wow is right. I had the same thought.
C'monnnn, you're not impressed by $100 worth of volume?
Hey A&H - I'm not mad, just don't want to spend more time on CYIO right now. Here's my own history with this stock in a nutshell:
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=61102930
I owned a huge position in 2008 or 2009 when a bunch of us in The Microcap Kitchen on SI got scammed by the CEO, so you might say I have a well-deserved ax to grind. I've traded it a couple of times since then, but not lately. As for being anonymous on message boards... there are plenty of people on IHub who know me, some personally, and I have a reputation for integrity. But this isn't about me. Let's see where CYIO's stock price is in a few days.
A&H - thanks for your detailed reply. I'll just say that I disagree with you, and leave it at that. I am neither long nor short CYIO at this time and, frankly, I don't have the time or inclination to "prove" anything to anyone. The uncompensated pump yesterday was not an "elaborate manipulation" -- it was just a simple electronic alert that cost the promoter absolutely nothing, and that he believed would help him build his list. As I mentioned, the other stocks I listed were just a few obvious ones that were recent and top of mind. If I had wanted to "go out and find" stocks to fit a pattern, I could have named 30 of 'em.
As for CYIO... I will let my prior posts on the company and the CEO speak for themselves. My fundamental opinion is unchanged by two days worth of artificially generated trading activity. Best of luck to all.
Sorry A&H, but I'm not following most of your post, especially the "goose effect" part. And you're dead wrong about the hundred-million floats. Here is the reality: The trend lately, as perfected by Stock Psycho, is for promoters to alert extremely low-float stocks uncompensated in order to build their lists for the compensated picks. I'm not going to list them all here, but look up MKRS from .05 to .61, WUHN from .06 or .08 to .45, CNCT from .02 or .03 to .45, CHLO, FFI from .20 to .77 the other day, and TEWI a couple of weeks ago. There are many more examples. These are not really P&Ds because the promoter either doesn't own any stock, or owns a relatively small amount through someone else's account.
The bottom line is, it doesn't matter what the promoter says is the target price. Once the stock is set in motion for the day, it'll go wherever traders take it. And of course a promoter who is trying to build his list wants to say that something will be a "big win" and then have it go even higher, because that increases the interest in his next "pick" (which will probably be a compensated POS). But look what happened to most of the stocks I listed after the first day or two, and no one should think that CYIO will be any different unless they have something substantial to announce.
Hey A&H --
"Its not possible to know - as a public shareholder right now . . . what is motivating over 3 million shares to have traded today at significantly higher prices than anytime in the last months."
Sure it is. The premarket "picks" via email, Twitter and text set it in motion, and from that point on it was a plaything for traders for most of the day. There are several of these stocks every week. They don't often have follow-through beyond a day or two. If Cyios has something positive to say, they should release it ASAP while there's heightened attention on the stock, because otherwise it will not last.
Congrats guys. Hope no one holds it for the drop back under a penny.
Speaking of principles, here's a two-fer:
Once you realize a few principle tenants you can succeed here.
<Does that mean showing a profit for a quarter of is he saying the 34 million dollar debt will be wiped out and they will show a profit.>
Profitable = current revenues exceeding current expenses. C'monnn, you knew that it doesn't imply "debt-free."
DW = Dave Walker, CEO
Hmmm. I'm a little surprised by that outburst but I won't take it personally :) - I'm frustrated by the stock price too. Maybe I'm a "one-sided know-it-all," but as buffalop51 suggests, THERE IS NO OTHER SIDE. Unless you count mythical evil naked short-sellers or give credence to the dubious theory that IMSC's competitors actually think they can harm the company by playing with its stock price -- both are just silly, in my view.
In case this wasn't clear, I'd like to stress that what is going on here with the conversions and sales is normal and necessary. I've seen it many times, in stocks I follow and with my own clients. The company needs a lot of financing, and it has a financier that is providing it. That financing comes at the cost of dilution that has been baked into the corporate structure for years, so it should not come as a surprise to anyone. None of this suggests that the company will not succeed in its business plan. And HELL YEAH, a sale (of any size) to the U.S. government is big news.
Thanks for noticing! I did leave the building for awhile but haven't sold any stock. Trying to be patient.
You've been dead on for the past two weeks. I'm surprised that there are still those who disagree but I've figured out that if I don't read this board, I don't waste time trying to persuade other people of what seems quite obvious to me.

See y'all when the conversions stop.
Thanks :). Agreed re: the market - we're seeing lots of exuberance with promo plays, but otherwise it doesn't seem that the recent strength of the broad market (unsustainable for much longer) has trickled down much to the micros this time around.
Argh! I had OPXS last year for a little while, got tired of waiting for it and sold.
There are a few good buys out there these days among the legitimate microcaps if one has the patience to accumulate at or near the bid, including CTDH and VODG. I wouldn't mind owning CRWG in the .06s -- I was trading it in the .20s and .30s a year ago. I like VSUL, too, and IMSC of course is dirt cheap here. But after looking at all of these, I just keep adding more EIPC in the .006s.
I keep picking up more at these levels as well.
He is! But you know, I hadn't noticed because I've had him on Ignore for a very long time. I wonder what he's in for?
I really should ignore the "Go TEVE!!!" guy too. Jeez, who else over the age of 12 would put that after every single post? (OMG!! Awesome! Go TEVE!!!)
Just in case it gets deleted from the TEVE board:
Easter is coming. I'd love to see the Easter Bunny announce a huge position in TEVE. Hey, it could happen! Go Easter Bunny!!!
a response to this:
Would love to see Warren Buffet take a position regardless of the size.
Can you imagine the consequences? lol Go TEVE!!!
Now THAT is some powerful Kool-Aid. The company has gone dark and the stock has traded something like 1,500 shares combined in the past 6 months.
Easter is coming. I'd love to see the Easter Bunny announce a huge position in TEVE. Hey, it could happen! Go Easter Bunny!!!
no big deal, whoever hit the bid has a little more to sell at that price
Shorts in AVNE? Are you serious?!
I believe you meant "Cheezy." I heard a massive breakout is imminent in $DUSS!!! Sell your kids! Mortgage your wife!
Yep - it appears that someone is trying to accumulate a large number of shares without spiking the price. It's pretty much the reverse of what was happening the past couple of days, when the seller would wait for large bids to start creeping back in before wiping them all out.
ASCM was back on the high bid again a little while ago. They seemed to be gathering a ton of shares for someone yesterday at $1.30.
Welcome to the board where sanity is occasionally a virtue. I agree with your first point, so let's see what they have in store for us at 4:15.
Thanks too for chiming in on the Short Volume thing. I wouldn't say that it's been thoroughly debunked on this board because there was still some grumbling about it after my post and someone called what I wrote "fairy tales," but I did my best.
I saw some hints of fund (i.e., non-retail) activity this afternoon at 1.30 and even a computerized buy or sell program 2-3 times, which I don't recall ever having seen at this price level. Keep an eye on ASCM, in particular - either he is sucking in a lot of stock, or another MM is matching his bid in stealth mode.
Also, the 50,000 backprint at 1.17 just now is interesting. I do believe the selling is done.
They will, IMO. It's like those fake press release cases from years ago, which they took seriously and pursued because it was a simple concept for their little brains to wrap around. It'll just take them a long time to issue subpoenas and track down who's behind it.
Fat finger typo trade?
Yep, just a temporary supply-demand imbalance that will correct itself gradually after they're done.
OK, could be. And the market cap is tiny. Unfortunately, the CEO is still incompetent, in my opinion, but we'll see what happens....
That's not for their wondrous flagship product, CYIPRO.
"For the nine months ended September 30, 2012 and 2011, we received no revenue from CYIPROâ„¢ "
Several-year-old technology. No sales yet.
"IMSC: Once the seller decides to take a break, and we get a couple of large orders, it should make the move we have anticipated."
Yes, of course. Agreed. BTW I see you've been staying out of the fray on that board lately -- some good posters but a couple of looney-tunes.
I'm afraid that this may be a case of (to quote Cyndi Lauper) "right track, wrong train."
Forgive me joby, I couldn't resist :)
Aarrgghh!! Glad you guys are doing well with it, but I wish I'd bought some API instead of all those new IMSC shares.
