You didn't know who Meatloaf was? Fame is so fleeting...
The only thing that's changed recently on board.asp is the addition of a dropdown list to the search.
No there isn't.
Well shoot - that's what I get for trusting that a script that says "Fix Mailbox Counts" actually works. I'll write my own - should be fixed in a little bit.

You were.
The iBox search has been around for a week or so (old news, but thanks for noticing ;)
By far the most common entry in the search box is a ticker of some sort. How much that has to do with "Quote/Chart/Ticker" being the default choice, I couldn't say.
That's the fairly obvious one. The other two are small. One is something Churak suggested. The other is the same thing on a related page.
Actually, there's one fairly obvious thing and two not so obvious things. Happy hunting.
I'll keep it in mind.
Of course it is. I'm not wearing this cool shirt just to attract girls ;)
You'll have to ask Matt and Bob what they were smoking when they designed the board for that one. Premium members effectively have no limit on posts, but the counter for a preemie counts down from 255. If you post more, you're in to negative numbers ;)
I'm not exactly sure what you're asking but a good place to go for stock terms would be the Money 101 board:

Respected member? Most of our "respected members" don't try SQL injections attacks. Did you really think we wouldn't notice?
You have Ignores turned on and have put the other member on Ignore. Look at Tools->MyIgnores.
It's there - I just double checked the code and free users should be able to see the "Send a Private Message" link that appears under the green bar.
Anyone can send Matt, Grub, Bob or me a PM regardless of level.
You should be able to check the box that keeps you logged in and it should work. It does for me ;)
Preview is scheduled to be redone but it will be a while down the road - it's a bigger project that it looks on the surface ;)
Correct.
OK, I guess I'm confused. Were you just telling me that if you put a parentheses on the end of a link you get an error? Or where you trying to point out a problem with the underlying message?
In that case, what else was wrong? Once the parentheses was removed, there was no error.
Weird. I'll look into it. Would be great if it was reproducible ;)
Virtual Machine technology is different from Virtual application technology like SVS. A virtual machine allows you to load a complete operating system in a virtual environment. SVS simply adds a virtual layer onto your existing operating system.
I've used VMWare to run Redhat Linux on an XP box and it worked quite well (back when I cared about that kind of thing).
You can get free versions of VMWare here:
http://www.vmware.com/products/free_virtualization.html
You can get free versions of Microsoft's Virtual PC here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtualpc/downloads/sp1.mspx
I haven't used Virtual PC myself, but I know people who use it extensively. Seems a decent enough product although perhaps not as flexible as VMWare.
The poster is BigMoneyAtl. Are you seeing someone else there?
The Java widget thingy is the monitor application. So yes, when it's implemented here at IHub, the same thing will happen.
You can see the board category above this message (left side, right below the menu bar). This very well might oughta be on the front page - but that's Matt's call ;)
Test
For those of you that like to experiment with new software and find yourself needing to get rid of it frequently when it didn't meet your expectations, I would suggest looking at the Altiris Software Virtualization Solution (SVS). It's free for personal use.
SVS creates a virtual layer that overlays the registry and file system. You add new untested software products you're trying onto a layer. While the layer is running, it fits seamlessly into your system. When the layer is off, the new untested thingy is gone and there's nothing mucking up your registry or file system. It's really very slick.
You can learn more about SVS at:
http://juice.altiris.com/svs/
For examples of preloaded layers you can download and try for free, look here:

In addition to what lentinman said, membermarking a person will cause them to show up on your IHub Favorites page.
Some other things your tech will probably try when he/she shows up:
Checking the connections. A loose connection can do funny things to the display.
Swapping the monitors. If the problem follows the monitor, it's a bad monitor. If the problem doesn't follow the monitor, it's a problem with your display card.
I would try turning the monitor off and back on. That usually clears it. If it doesn't - then you might have a bad monitor.
Desktop->Properties->Settings, click on number 2 monitor, uncheck the box that says "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor."
Actually, it was picking up assistants on deleted boards ;)
Possibly, but not a bug here. If you look up that stock symbol elsewhere, you get the same puzzling company name.
Looks OK now.
Crap - I wish I'd known that before I started...
Done oh Mattly One ;)
Seriously everyone is working their butts off. Just because you can't see the whole iceberg doesn't mean it's not there ;)
