Offer at .026 premarket indicates that something hopefully afoot. A premarket positive news release would be nice to see. A move today above 50 day moving average at .027 could signal the next bull move. Hope you are in for this ride FA.
Don't be so sure that community affairs are irrelevant to the future of fmnj. The basis for the corporate inroads made by Franklin are related to Jaime's standing and respect he has with Bolivians. He has oft stated his recognition of the present government's position that foreign companies share the wealth and success they acheive in Bolivia with the people. To understand how to do business in Bolivia you have to recognize the suffering the people and especially the miners have endured which has been chronicled by NYBOB and other posters.Hope the next news event expected this week will outline a timeline foe the start of mining operations at Cerro Rico.
i agree
Andy Austin comments should be very interesting. The article posted by stockobserver in EL Bolso is troubling in its criticism of the gtl MOU. I would like to know if Alvarado's resignation has any impact as to whether or not the agreement will be honored. A while back posters complained that they did not see Franklin mentioned by Bolivian press. Be careful what you wish for is the old adage. I would love tp see a nice 8am great press release come Sept. 5.
Good to see that the oil and gas companies are complying and yfpb will be reliquified. Maybe this will have an impact on the gtl plant. Nice firm close today at .024 with a .025 ask after market close. Hope to see a little news early next week to propel price above 50 day .027 moving average. Thanks for the level 2 site. It may be a profitable find for me as I hope to trade more actively if the daily volume increases as we head to autumn. Notice I didn,t use the word fall.
The mms such as ubs will be on the bid and ask to disguise a big order. Note that they are only committed to honor a sale at .0024 for 1 share. The real question is what they have on there book which we are not provy too. I would not be surprised to see a breakout as soon as before the close today.
Good observation. A little front running before we get to the post labor day period may be occurring. A move to .024-.025 would take us near the important 50 day moving average. Can someone post bid/ask cahnges real time since my service is 20 min delay. thanks
As an assistant to the moderator, your internecine warfare with a poster on this board seems to be bad form. You should try to rise above the fray and help to exchange thoughful ideas. Isn't that the purpose of this board. While you continue to maintain a healthy degree of scepticism about a raw pink sheet company such as fmnj, this is precisely the type of stock that can be a life altering event for risk takers albeit a bit too adventurous for your blood. As you may be aware, many traders were on vacation or inactive in August. A guess that volatility will increase in Sept. and the chance for an upside move here is not out of order. Finally, the use of foul language, even if some letters are redacted with astericks is certainly beneath you. Hope you take these comments as constructive criticsm that we all remain on the same page even if wr are not all in complete agreement.
Extemely low volume is worrisome as the stock seems to be off the screens of big money investors and hedge funds for the entire month. The sequence for a up move is usually an increase in volume, followed by an up move followed by a significant news release. This is sometimes referred to as the move before THE MOVE. A breach to the upside piercing the 50 day moving average, might be one indication to look for as predicting better times to come. Will be interesting to see what happens when someone wants to buy say 5 million shares based on a "lucky" hunch. Vacation time wikk be over after today, so let's get readey to mrumble.
Trueheart- What is your source that Shaw seems to be doing the GTL deal without fmnj. It sems that Shaw amd fmnj had a contract wherein Shaw would finance and build the plant that would be managed by Franklin.
Good post americano. Now that Juan Carlos Ortiz is the new pres. of Ypfb, I hope that fmnj relationship still remains strong with this state owned petroleum corp. It is interesting that the contract that got Alvarado in trouble was for the export and distribution of oil products and not the importation of scarce diesel fuel. Under the Sam agreement, fmnj gets 49% to arrange financing and manage the processing plant and the distribution was to remain the responsibility of Ypfb not a foreign entity such as Brazil. I have a feeling that the gov't thinks that the brazillians have been ripping them off forn many pre Ewo Morales years and this may be a perfect storm type environment for our company to thrive. I will feel a lot better if the state company improves its financial position. Perhaps Jaime is working on it behind the scenes. A comment from us in a release such as the post nationalization comment of compliance would be noteworthy.
good find norel. The resignation suggests possible kickback in contracting with the brazilizn company to send oil and or gas to bolivia. I have called austin to see how mr alvarado fits in as a player instrumental in our gtl deal. hope this event is either positve or neutral to our mou with ypfb. Jaime has stressed that the agreements we made with bolivia are in conformance to the dictates of the new plan under morales. Perhaps this helps to undermine the brazilizn competitive position viz a viz franklin. I guess the labor day blackout on news suggested by some does not apply to Bolivia.
oops- so much for the painting the tape scenario as the stock closed on pathetic volume of some 20,ooo bucks in total trades. We are so far beneath the radar that we can play handball on the curb. A brooklyn expression. As for those who believe that no news will be released this week because of vacations, I urge you to listen to the Petty interview where he states the company is following sec disclosure for nasdaq even though we are on the pinks. You cannot withhold material news for less then 48 hours. I'm still looking for an upside surprise near term.
Scanning the otcbb cite for trading activity, I have noticed a decided bias to plus tics on up volume. It is possible, in my opinion, that the limited trading range we have experienced during the month of August can break out with a significant upside move if buyers do more than nibble at the current level. Last hour indicator has also been positive for the last few days. A little positive news can make this baby rock if the volume is there. During the April move, I noticed a painting the tape effect at the close as the market maker would hit the ask at the bell. Would love to see a push thru resistance area here.
Most of the time its not what you know but who you know. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and talks like a duck ....its probably a duck. My apologies to americano no offense to your friend intended.
If they didn't have the resources to do the deal in hand what would be the purpose of signing the agreement. I believe that the key info to be announced prior to the confirmation of financing is the settling of a design plan for the gtl plant. It is likely that the closing of the gtl facility will cause a major impact on the credibility of the company with Bolivia and shareholders present and future. Expect at least otcbb listing to coincide with future news developments. Summer is almost over and it is time for the company to put the business plan into action. Watch the average volume and closing momentum as a key to future price action.
If the financing for the gtl plant is secure, we are sitting on a gold(silver, tin, zinc, oil, natural gas)mine. The risk/reward potential of this baby is scary and my assessment of Bill Petty and Jaime Malgajero is that they are ligitimate hands on managers. Obviously the financing arrangements are the key to the company's success. I doubt that they would be doing an evaluation of possibe gtl plants without having the 300 million in hand from either Shaw or some other money partner. The next news announcement should involve the financial support the company has receivesd. If we get it, this stock can easily move past the last run-up which was aborted by the nationalization announcement on May 1. The key will be a increase in the daily volume figures. I nibbled for a few i00,000 shares on friday and the ask moved up on a 175,000 order indicating that their is little inventory from the MMS such as ubss and nite. A 15-30 million share day can make this baby a easy double or triple from here.
Good find on Mr. Moreno. Apparently he is following FMNJ very closely since he even listened to JM's interview by the wall street radio program. While the questions he raises is well known to all of us here who follow the company, one would think that comibol and Yfpg did their own due diligence before signing the agreements. Senor Moreno appears to be a gadfly but we need him like we need a hole in the head. Obviously the key to sucess here is JM's Bolivian heritage and the confidence he instills with the government. The sponsorship of the meeting regarding new mining agreements seems to confirm that fmnj supports the new morales push to a quasi capitalist-socialist structure for business.
bring the duck when the company makes a deal with china. no peeking now.
The guy standing behind them looks like he was a bodyguard for Eva Peron. Always thought Argentina would be a nice [place to visit. Maybe we can do a layover in Buenos Aires on the way home froam Bolivia.Bet Lady Rosario and Jaime did a mean tango at the party after the signing. Americano can come too if he leaves the duck home. Argentina is beef country you know.Seems to me that we will be on the map shortly as the company continues to build alliances.
While my understanding of espanol is someshat limited, it would appear that Jaime is now in Argentina and has signed an agreement to develop oil and or natural gas resources in one of the provinces. Perhaps someone can post a translation. This news should be released by the company tomorrow as material events should be made available to the general public within 48 hours. Perhaps Andy Austin is on vacation and Jaime and william are treveling in South America. A little pre market press release may get this puppy rolling again. Don't cry for Jaime Argentia, the truth is what we're after.Heard a rumor that Madonna bought 8 million share so she would surpass Mart's position. Now if we could only get americano to issue a sell call, we would be on our way.
Why can't the company give us an estimated timeframe for the commencement of mining operations? The assessment of the 4 veins and the need for a processing plant is all we know at this time. Also awaiting word on the analysis nof the type and cost of the preliminary plans for the gtl plant. Without this info, the big money seems to be waiting on the sidelines based om volume of 2-4 million shares per day. The low voatility of the stock price as evidenced by the contracting bollinger bands are usually a harbinger of a breakout according to my TA friends. While it seems to be mumbo jumbo to me, ti does tend to bolster one's morale. Maybe we need americano to be a little bearish since his optimism seems to run counter to the actual price momentum.
Americano the american bull should be called the american bs. please note a sell on april 11 at .013 and the next signal was a buy on may 4 at .045. Apparently they missed the move from april 29 to may 1 when the stock went to fifteen cents and traded a lot at .12 a 1000 percent move that they completely missed!! .lol. btw. Oregon is a beautiful state and I envy that you can enjoy the beautiful pacific northwest.Maybe we can all meet in Vancouver to celebrate when the canndles show we are at .75. Keep the faith. I believe that Jaime and william are the real deal and they can make this company a blockbuster. For that I do not need a phony charting service that manipulates its numbers. Remember figures don't lie, but liars figure . Have a good night IMAN
THEJBUG- Very interesting post. Conversations overheard on a plane would not constitute acting on inside information and I doubt the Shaw deal was finalized in flight. Purportedly the Shaw group is ready to invwest 300 million dollars using Fmnj as contact company to build a gtl plant . FMNJ stated that the profits generated fron the production will be split 50/50 with the fmnj. Franklin would of course have a separate deal with Shaw ,their investor, on what part of the 50% fmnj would retain. Part would have to be a return of the capital Shaw expended to build the plant. This is the blockbuster news I am waiting for if my speculation is confirmed. At this stage the company has announced that they are exploring design plans for the plant and this may be announced shortly.I am also looking foward to a otcbb listing as the auditing of the financials are completed. Your friends plane ride may make it possible for you to buy your own plane one day.
Americano- The pot calling the kettle black. Your exuberance here and numerous posts as to your positioning and buying of franklin can easily be construed as pumping. The IHDR deal which I understand never came to pass is a on point comment from this board member and not spam. Give others a break my friend as most here have given you a lot a leeway since your heart is true and genuine.I agree that it would be smart business for IHDR to position its hydroelectric generators in the mayaya region where the company has to stop gold production for want of adequate supply of diesel fuel. It was this shortage that may have been instumental in Jaime's concept of a GTL plant for Bolivia.
Very interesting article and good find. Reread it a few times and I think it is noteworthy in that it mentions only Franklin as a buider of a gtl plant whereas other articles mentioned 3 or 4 competeing bids asm I can recall. If financing is announced for this 3oo million dollar project, the stock would surely react very positively. Wonder if the mysterious Shaw Group is still backing this project.
aggreviation...aggreviation... its making me sad. it is not smart to annoy americano. Do you think that Petty has spent 4 months in Bolivia for his health. Company may be in a quiet period here before they announce audited financials and proceed to implement a business plan that seems very progressive to me. They don't ring a bell FA. If you build it, they will come.
As a person who sold a fortune 500 company, you exhibit brilliance in observing that people who buy a pink sheet penny stock are buying on speculation.I notice your other plays are similar low end companies trading at penny levels. You must be the Warren Buffet of the pinks. Thanks for your imput in helping investors here make sound decisions as to whether to buy, sell, or hold.
Your post #7998 TA does not mean jack in this stock. Your pos#8750 charting a 2 cent stock is a waste of time.Your post #8779 expresses a fear of a bankruptcy filing. My point is that there is a lot of due diligence available on this board if one wants to take the time to read it. If you read NYBOB's posts you will be better able to get a handle on what this company is about. People who post mixed messages serve only to confuse others. I agree that charting a pink sheet stock is a waste of time so why post that the chart looks terrible. Last week the TA people talked about a repeat pennant bull pattern. I think looking at resistance levels are very important in making investment decisions. We are at a very crucial point here which presents a great buy in point for those who are not faint of heart.
Very interesting day. Breaking the 2 cent barrier is certainly a psychological letdown but it is another opportunity to make big bucks if any of the business plans come to fruition. 7 million shares at 2 cents is $140,000 total vooume and with double counting may represent only 70gs. I would not be surprised if the next announcement causes a buying panic. Good to see the stockguru people are off the case since they do not have a great performance record. Buy low and sell high. GLTA.
Sounds like Petty is a hands on guy who will have the mining operation up and running in the near future. Once we get this news on commencement, the stock should reflect the reality of a stock that is highly undervalued based upon political fears.Stock should not staya at this level very long. My impression is that fair value now is 5-6 cents and once operations commence we should test the old high of 15 cents. Looking for otcbb listing by months end which should help liquidity.
Petty interview taped on Aug 9 is informative for three important bits of info which if true will lead to a sharply higher stock price:1.Company expects a 2.7 million cash flow per month once operations begin. 2. Processing plant will be collateralized by assets permitting company to spend 200,000 and finance the balance for a 6 mil. plant.3. Auditors report will be completed shortly and apparently we can apply for otcbb at that time. I have also heard from pr people that operations can commence without the plant being built. Based upon these tidbits and Petty,s statement that company hopes to give some cash flow numbers within the month (before sept 9), I expect that the stock price should start to reflect the reality nthat this is a real company withgood management. Petty seems to be a hnds on guy who has been in Bolivia for 4 months workinmg at putting the project together.I'm a believer that the stock is a steal at these prices.
Either you believe in the company you invest in or you don't. Jamie and andy have been very forthright in explaining the company plan for growth in the Bolivian market. Had the investment world not been spooked by the Ewo Morales nationalization speech, many of us would be worrying about the cost of a condo in Marbella rather then the chart formulations of the FA and nybobs of this board. I for one believe that this is the real deal and the future growth of this venture will be explosive. Smart money will soon pour into this investment opportunity if I am right. The potential for a management team that has the ear of the power in government is not to be underestimated. Ever hear about a little company called Halliburton. If Shaw comes thru with a 300 million investment for the gtl plant this stock can easily approach a dollar. We are meandering now at low volume but I think a buying panic may soon be at hand. Lets get ready to rummmmbbblllle.
The giants win the pennant. The giants win the pennant. Flags smags this stock looks ready to move now that they weak hands are out. Next announcement will cear up financing arrangements with Shaw, processing plant et al.
Todays news seems to reaffirm the Bolivian intention to go ahead with the gtl plant. New news for us is that franklin will get approx 50% of the partnership which they will have to obviously have to share with the builder of the plant who most believe is the Shaw Group. If they can pull it off, the stock will make the shareholders very rich.
As a shareholder, I feel that the company should give some guidance as to when they expect to start the mining operation at Cerro Rico. The news on the 4th vein, while very positive, seemed to contain the caveat that preliminary design plans for the processing plant would take three months. The gtl plant also was awaiting a design plan. Hope we hear some word soon as this uncertainty and confusion has caused some shareholders to give up and the buyers strike has caused the sell side volume to fall into a vacuum. Perhaps someone who has Andy Austin's ear can get us some answers.
Interesting chart. It does indeed look like a repeat of the march pattern. Where do you TA people seeing the stock go on this move.
agree. We need to hear about a production start up date.
Phony point on bollinger since it reflects a stock staying in a small trading range for a few week period. Naturally since stocks tend to fluctuate one would expect a major move up or down. If it really has predictive value it would tell you wwhich way the major move would be. So call it now adapt. Good news is whichever direction you pick you have a 50/50 channce to be right.
YOu the man. While at this time I do not feel there is a correlation between the price of silver and the pps of fmnj, I also have continued to add to my position in times of low volume when the big money does not yet appreciate the potential of this company. The last time I was a buyer in a volume vacuum the stock was at .005. This 3 cent level will hopefully be a point where many will regret not taking qdvantage of a great buying opportunity.
