Canyon Creek Reports Initial Production From Archer County Leases Exceed Forecasts - Sales From Additional Wells To Commence This Week
Business Wire - December 19, 2005 09:45
HOUSTON, Dec 19, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Canyon Creek Oil & Gas Inc. (A joint venture of Universal Property Development and Acquisition Corporation (OTCBB:UPDA) and USProduction & Exploration, LLC. (USPX), a privately held company) has turned on its first well in Archer County Regular Field.
Canyon Creek reported production from the #1 Block Estate at an initial rate of 450 bopm. The Company will continue to gauge the well for progress until a normalized production rate has been established.
As previously reported, Canyon Creek has completed work-over procedures on the #2 and #6 East Vogtsberger Unit wells, #3, #11, and #14 West Vogtsberger Unit wells, #1 Jones-Ford Unit well, and the #1 Block Estate well. Canyon Creek expects to turn to sales the #1 Jones-Ford Unit early today followed by the #3, #11 and #14 West Vogtsberger Unit wells. After a brief period of evaluating the initial oil production, the Company will turn to sales the #2 East Vogtsberger Unit wells.
The Company originally forecasted oil production from these 7 wells to stabilize at 660 bopm. Should the production rate from the #1 Block continue at its current rate, Canyon Creek will need to increase its production forecast for this small portion of its 60 well North Texas portfolio. Production from the other fields will be announced as they are determined and confirmed.
A work-over rig owned by PDX Well Service is scheduled to move from the #14 West Vogtsberger to the # 1 East Vogtsberger as the work-over program continues.
