"Furthermore, this may be the formulation that breaks the brain/blood barrier."......... Captn....if this is true.... flat out brilliant solution.
I hope so Dar because I'm in it until all our cards have been played.
Thanks Dar...I'm thinking the same thing..... of course since the stock gods hate me I'm expecting the Du ruling to be reversed, BRAVE study results to be amazing, Germany to announce reimbursement, and Pfizer to announce BO out $60/sh Monday morning before the market opens.
Wash rule specifics....... any guidance from you folks with more trading experience than I have would be appreciated. I sold shares on 7/19 with the specific intent to buy back after taking advantage and not get caught in the wash rule. Could I buy back this Friday the 18th or have to wait until Monday?
Totally correct oneragman...... this is business as usual until it isn't.
C'mon Pdude ...... hyperbole much? Do you know the whole team in the EU? Money talks then talent walks..... you are a smart dude so you know that if they need the resource, they can afford it.
I bought more at .98 so it could be argued that many of us longs should be institutionalized...... does that count?
They listened..... buyers showing up.
Could we have picked a worse economic cycle to try to launch in the world? We need to fund a study for V's effect as an anti-depressant
As long as that lazy ass kangaroo doesn't decide to go nuts before I buy back in Monday as I'll be on the other side of the 30 day wash rule.
Another great find Slevin..... has Amarin/Mochida/MND 2119 all over it...... I feel a bit relieved.
TCI, I didn't even know about MND-2119 at the time so what I asked Elizabeth was in light of the Du ruling, can't AMRN just change the name of Vascepa to something like Corozon1? She replied that it wouldn't really help because the medical term is Icosapent Ethyl and that's what generics are now allowed to produce....... I learned a lot since then so I quickly understood what she was telling me.....
Will do....... I did back in the Duzaster days and Elizabeth got right back to me. Of course she's not there anymore but we shall see..... stay tuned.
Nice find Sleven...... now we need them to say something about it.
Much appreciated Tal
Thanks Tal........ that reinforces my concern that we don't have an exclusive agreement or rights to MND-2119.
Thanks Tats...... I hope they are talking to each other about this.
Thanks Sleven........."Among other terms in the agreement, Amarin obtained an exclusive license to certain Mochida intellectual property to advance Amarin’s interests in the United States and certain other territories and the parties will collaborate to research and develop new products and indications based on EPA for Amarin’s commercialization in the United States and certain other territories. The potential new product and indication opportunities contemplated under this agreement are in relatively early stages of development."
I hope they collaborated on MND-2119 and it falls under this agreement. I wish they would respond to you and spell it out to all.
I agree that if this is true, "MND-2119 was developed in a collaboration between Amarin and Mochida", then we certainly should have marketing rights of some kind.........but announcing that the two companies would be working together to develop new formulations of EPA doesn't in itself give me certainty that we have rights to it. We never hear it mentioned in any quarterly earnings exercises so it makes me wonder.
Sleven, did we ever determine if AMRN has any rights to MND-2119?
No worries..... I'm doing what I can to hold the price here so I can buy my shares back beyond the wash rule. So on day 29 the price will probably double because the stock gods hate me. 8 more days.
So many depressing posts.... "other than that Mrs Lincoln, how was the play?"
Progress is progress........ all the table scraps will add up. We want inventory turns and a pretty bow on this company to a BP that says, I can sell more of this liquid gold.....
Not so sure.... since V is already priced the same as Generic..... the price fixing is actually the coverage providers.....
Who would file the lawsuit? The same people that allow infringement of the CVD patents? It wouldn't be the generics because it would be a business decision on their part. They could claim that the market is not big enough and margins are not great enough to be playing in right now.
That's why we need a BP to acquire us....... they would create an "understanding" with all the generics
Pdude, unless you missed it, they had the cc when they pre-announced and introduced the new CEO and they said at the time there was no need to have a cc when they released earnings. You may want to remove that one from your grievance list.
Thanks Monk
I think so.
RMB, you are correct.....It is less than 10 at the moment however there were caveats to bump it up to over 10
Here's a stock tip for all my fellow posters...... it's kind of a turnaround story...... it's a very small company that services a niche market where it targets the number one killer in the world called Cardiovascular disease. They only have one drug but it's FDA approved to reduce Triglycerides as well as CVD risk by 33% when taken with a statin. They have $313 million in cash and no debt. They were cash flow positive in there current quarter. They have exclusivity in the EU for approximately 10+ years and are in the infant stages of growing that market. In the US they have patents protecting the CVD indication but not the Triglyceride indication. They are not actively growing the market in the US as there is evidence of patent infringement for their CVD patents by generic companies selling into the lower Triglyceride market. They are maintaining market share of around 57% of the market in the US despite the competition and infringement from these generic drug manufacturers. This is not for the risk averse investor though as they recently underwent a board takeover from a highly successful activist investor. They have an entirely new Board of Directors and a new CEO. The new CEO comp plan is designed to pay him a handsome premium on 5,000,000 share if he get the price up to $15/sh or sell the company. This new management team unlike the previous team is slashing costs and focusing on profitability and the activist investor has the audacity to want to increase shareholder value for the current and future shareholders. The current share price sits at $ 1.19/sh so make sure that if this is something you are interested in and find to be a worthwhile investment risk that you buy the shares at these prices before telling your friends about it. Oh and the ticker symbol is AMRN. Please do your on DD though as all investments are not without risk.
I couldn't have said it better myself...... The old regime was making plenty of money for themselves during our slow race to the bottom. If this regime makes a ton of money and I get out with a profit, I will sing their praises and smile.
If they can get the share price above $10/sh, I don't care if they each come with a Wonka bar....
Hayward, they usually release early in the morning before the market opens......there is no conference call so whatever they are going to say, it will be in the release.
It's not only unlikely, it's not possible during a blackout period for someone in his position to trade the stock. It's not allowed. He can tomorrow after the earnings have been made public.
Amazing lack of volume at this point in the day.
They did the surprise call during the pre-earnings announcement because it was the perfect time to introduce the new CEO. Since they pretty much did the earnings con call at the same time, there's no need to have another one so close to that one. Nothing to see here.
Exactly and they did a fine job holding the price flat today in order to maximize that option price. Let's see if they let the market work freely after the 2nd.
Sure Kiwi...... you want him to list the scripts by Dr as well?
