Only one February high temperature record in one town. Seems to be a non-event. There was no mention of other record highs. Did I miss something?
All sorts of accidental deaths occur. It's the non-accidental deaths that we should be concerned, in my opinion.
Didn't mean to upset anyone. I have studied this subject a fair amount and found the article to be click bait taking you through numerous pages and then to surmise the scientist's didn't have a clue. Which they don't, in my opinion.
Good post JimLur.
What's wild about this article? Fairly dated information on DNA. Can you explain what is wild?
That is a cool video. Thanks, for posting.
Go IDCC!!
Well, I tried to help duhmiller.

Dow futures down 750 as of this moment. I told you it was coming :) Not to worry as i'm sure IDCC will not be affected in any downturn.
God bless, heucares1!
Watch as things settle down, a huge rebound.
So do you believe Intel was ignorant for paying hundreds of millions of dollars for a small portion of IDCC patents? Don't be surprised if more patent sales may happen soon.
MO, LG didn't want to re-sign initially. I believe once IDCC realized the potential of a buy out or other potential strategies (a long time ago), IDCC didn't necessarily want to renew LG. Once IDCC went down the other potential-strategies path, LG wishes it would have re-signed. Me thinks LG hopes IDCC is not acquired and will be happy to re-sign before any other potential buy out or hostile take over, which may require much higher royalties from a much larger player. IMHO.

You said:
"I think you're wrong about your quoted conclusion."
How can you say I am wrong when IDCC states:
Patent License Agreements
Our patent license agreements are structured on a royalty-bearing basis, paid-up basis or combination thereof.
I stated: What I take from this paper, is a Fixed Fee Royalty-Bearing License is a combination of fixed fee and per unit royalty.
You highlighted: The exhaustion of Prepayments and Current Royalty Payments are often calculated based on related per-unit sales of covered products.
Not sure why you use this as proof that a Fixed Fee Royalty-Bearing License is not a combination of fixed fee and per unit royalty. To me, this indicates that when a certain number of units sold exhausts the prepayment, additional per unit royalties will be due.
rmarchma,
What I take from this paper, is a Fixed Fee Royalty-Bearing License is a combination of fixed fee and per unit royalty.
The Role of Fixed Fee and Royalty in Patent Licensing
Patent licensing is fairly common that takes place in almost all industries. It is a source of profit for the inventor (also called patentee) who earns rent through licensing a patent. The common modes of patent licensing are: a royalty on per unit of output produced with the patented technology, a fixed fee that is independent of the quantity produced with the patented technology, or a combination of fixed fee and royalty.

Interesting read on fixed fee royalty-bearing licensing.

I'll stick with Olddogs' analysys. Makes a lot more sense than your's. And I don't agree with Olddog all that often.
So Ed, why are you here? Are you a long, or just trying to save us? If you are trying to be our savior, please just go away. Do you own IDCC? If not why are you here?
I'm on your side.
I'm in the money.
I'm good!
I have been cute for guys like you for 30 years or so. It sickens me.
You know, I have managed a number of people such as you. I doubt you will ever really learn from me.
Yeah, Not to difficult. You sell a call (writer). Owning the the stock. What do you think a CC Writer means?
not sure how my stock would be called... not on margin!
You are so smart. Why do you hang around here?
Please, Shut up.
Explain to me what you think "pushing out A/P" means? I am a bean counter. I don't know how to push out payables. Can you explain how to do this? Thanks!
Wrong! Why would anyone believe you have any clue. Everyone, this guy has no idea what is going on with IDCC!!!
Jimlur, reread my post!
+9.99, 10's are not allowed anymore.
I was discussing how impressive the Olympic opening ceremony was with my nephew's wife yesterday. She expressed how sad it was that the Chinese were steeped in historic music and ideals that were demonstrated in the opening ceremony and we (the US) had rap crap. I told her I would rather have to deal with rap crap then deal with an environment that would not allow rap. I think she understood.
Jimlur, until Bulldzr's response to DD, I did not see where Bulldzr attacked the messenger. He may have named who sent the message, however I don't take that as attacking the messenger. I did not get the chance to read what DD commented on, but I have a good idea. I too, get tired of the unending crying and whining.
The one concern I have is the bias toward negative attitudes aimed at our investment on this board. It seems the board supports the negative bias. If someone such as Bulldzr defends my investment, it's explained he is attacking the messenger. When others attempt to "save me from my ignorance" in investing in this company, it is explained they are experts. I have worked with a lot of "experts". Real experts don't usually send decoder ring messages and snide remarks.
Bulldzr, please continue posting.
With all the deleted messages, I'm starting to understand what the Chinese people have experienced.
I would guess there are a lot more people who would appreciate you crawling into a hole. Your still crying. By the way, I am minding my own business,,,IDCC.
dclarke is spot on. I agree with you, you are a whiner. If you play in derivatives with not knowing what your doing, you usually get burned. Look at it as a learning experience. Please, quit crying.
Bingo!
Since you seem to be in the know, should I sell, hold, or buy more? What are you expecting? Thank you.
Oldgog,
You apparently are very intelligent... why are you invested in IDCC?
You know what.. Mschere seems to have more concern about my investment than you or olddog has ever had... Please, Mschere keep going!!!
When will your exit strategy be crossed, at a higher or lower price than today's?
if you think my "agenda" is at odds with yours, then I question why you are here....mine is to follow the industry and to see where my substantial investment in this company may cross my exit strategy....what is your agenda?
My WAG March 6, 5:00 PM. Thanks.
