Well, the Thanksgiving issue aside <g>, I was kinda hoping Bobby & Joe would end the season tied (I think there are 2 wins separating them @ present) so each could retire with the record & prevent either from ending their careers with a Woody Hayes type incident ending it for them.
Both programs need a change, IMO. Of course, that's just me.
Don't worry about Wisconsin - if you beat the Buckeyes you go to the Rose Bowl! Of course, if you do beat Wisc., that would be good for me (knowing full well that it will probably be a moot point when we lose to MSU in the last game!). ;)
Congrats to the winners on Sat. - MI & TX in thrilling 4th Q comebacks and particularly to NAVY for finally beating ND!!!!!! Boo, hiss on Fla. State for killing my sentimental favorite's NC hopes & to the Wake kicker for missing the game winning FG in the last seconds of that game!
Bull,
several of Williamson’s friends used weed killer to spray the initials L.S.U. onto his lawn.
What's that say about his lawn? ;)
And no penalties - at least none that were called. ;)
They had to have practiced it to some degree - there was always someone behind the guy carrying the ball @ each point. Can you imagine how the other team felt? Amazing!
I think BC may be overrated also but @ this point, they are my sentimental favorite.
Have you seen this video of "The Miracle in Mississippi"? All that's missing is the tuba player in the endzone!

Wake back in the top 25 - nice.
longhorn,
Pretty impressive white out.
Which unfortunately turned into a "black-out". <g> BTW, nice comeback by the Longhorns - that kid had over 200 yds. rushing in the 4th quarter? Wow.
You missed the K.O. return for a TD! The highlight of my night! <g>
Not to worry - life is good. OSU played much better than I thought they could. If they continue, you're right, no one in the Big Ten can beat them. They truly looked like a #1 Sat. night.
I stayed up & watched that game last night. How can a team look like Temple for 28 min. & then play like a BCS champion the final 2 min. to win it? Unbelievable!
#2 survives!
Thanks, ksquared! OSU is beatable - just not sure it will be us that does it. Nevertheless, it should be a wild night in Happy Valley & a good game.
Still thinking MI will end up conference champs - who woulda thought? Now go wash your mouth out with soap! <g>
Maybe the rumor about Cornell going to be paid off is more than a rumor if the shares aren't needed right now?

the personal attacks on this site are really bad no, they are the worst i've ever seen what a terrible waist this site has become
Sorry you feel that way but Lennon & McCartney said it best:

Yep, Morelli had a good day yesterday aside from his unintentional "Hail Mary" in the endzone. We lost another defensive lineman & our blocking FB tho - doesn't look good for next week. We'll see.
Congrats on the MI win last night. The mark of a good team is when they can win with so much adversity - losing Hart & Henne for much of the game & still beating those scrappy little Hoosiers says it all. I won't be surprised if MI wins out from here. Who would have thought?!
And a last second win by LSU saved their season - so far!
Nice win by Wake again. Looks like this whole board were winners yesterday. We should probably cherish that - I doubt it will happen again the way this season is going.
Thanks, Longhorn. Right back atcha!
It's amazing what you can do with a computer. Some pretty funny pics here - you'll like the last one in particular. <g>

Yep, it's been the kiss of death. Doesn't bode well for BC who travels to Blacksburg next Thurs. night to face the Hokies.
I have mixed feelings about that 2nd one since we play OSU @ Happy Valley next Sat. night. That place will be rocking!
Nice win for Rutgers tonight & a fun game to watch. And the topsy-turvy season continues!
Darn, I was rooting for Walt's good friend from Redmond.
As far as I can see there would be no tangible difference but the Cornell name is such a negative in the marketplace, the disassociation has to be beneficial to the stock price - even if only in the short run.
Of course, it could vey well turn out to be a "be careful what you wish for" scenario depending on the terms of the new debt. I say that because truthfully I'm not convinced Cornell has been all that dastardly here - if they wanted or were legally able, they could bring this stock down far & fast IMO. They haven't as yet. I'm not sure if that's because they truly are bound by the "agreement not to short" or are playing it cautious due the the watchful eyes of the SEC. Another factor may be that the conversion of 95% or 96% isn't really conducive to a true death spiral. Those usually convert @ 75% or less.
I agree with what I believe to be your inference tho - anyone looking for real tangible differences probably won't find them with this management, no matter who holds the debt.
Mr.F
There is a rumor (repeat rumor) circulating that the Cornell debt may be paid off by a single individual...how would that change the picture?
Based on the current picture, I'd say that individual may have more dollars than "sense". Still, if true, getting rid of Cornell would be a major plus.
Most of the time. ;)
I'm just sitting here trying to figure out what "unreckless" exposure might be. But you're right, I'll leave the basic jokes for Leno & Letterman.
Reckless exposure? That's a new one.
Baylor suspends assistant indefinitely after public urination
Associated Press
Updated: October 16, 2007, 4:09 PM ET
WACO, Texas -- A Baylor assistant football coach cited by police for urinating on the bar at a tavern was suspended indefinitely Tuesday.
Eric Schnupp, Baylor's offensive line/tight ends coach, was not arrested but was issued a citation at 2:20 a.m. Sunday for disorderly conduct-reckless exposure at Scruffy Murphy's, Waco police spokesman Steve Anderson said.
The citation is a Class C misdemeanor carrying a $258 fine, according to Waco Municipal Court.
Coach Guy Morriss said Tuesday during his weekly news conference that he suspended Schnupp indefinitely, but did not comment further.
Schnupp, 30, had traveled Saturday with the team to Lawrence, Kan., where the Bears lost to Kansas 58-10. The team was back in Waco by 9 p.m.
Bartender Danny Severe said in Tuesday's editions of the Waco Tribune-Herald that the incident happened around closing time and that Schnupp apparently thought no one was watching him as employees were moving patrons out of the building.
Severe said an employee witnessed Schnupp urinating on the bar, and a manager told police officers who were there for an unrelated matter.
Severe said Schnupp had taken several shots of hard liquor, most bought for him by other people.
Schnupp, in his first year as a coach at the world's largest Baptist university, played football for the University of Miami from 1995-2000 and previously coached at West Texas A&M.

It'll depend on which QB shows up - the good one or the not so good one.
You really had me scratching my head there for a minute! <g>
Yeah, Martin Calsyn's OK in my book too.
aries,
Are we talking about the same "Martin"? I was referring to Nielson.
As for Walt, at best you have a man who seems to have a history of failures suffering from illusions of grandeur - at worst, well, I think everyone has pretty much covered that. My opinion of Martin would be right along those same lines.
I don't honestly know much about Lloyd. I do share your hopes tho.
I heard that! <g> Let's see, the best we can hope for @ this point is a conference tie & for that to happen OSU & MI have to lose 2 conference games & Ill. one. MI plays @ Ill. Sat. night - hummm, who to root for!
We'll probably lose @ Ind. Sat. afternoon so it will all be a moot point anyway! :)
25 or 6 to 4 - does anyone really know who is charge down there? Does anyone really care?

Sad indeed. That kid had so much potential as a freshman & it has just been 1 thing after another for 5 years.
Of course, there is a bigger issue here. My heart goes out to the other individual. To be fair, you have to let the court decide the guilt or innocence but if he is guilty, I hope they throw the book @ him.
What an absolutely crazy year in college football - ain't it great?! Lol!
Nice game for Wake, B&B! I'm impressed with that team - great comeback!
