The market determines the price every single day, hence this is where it's trading.
If it's a buyout, in this case market has no word and price is determined by the buyer.
Not buyout? We'll see what the market thinks but I don't see anything positive if it's not a buyout since the company simply cannot make $$$.
Edit:
And you said yourself it's a speculative stock! But just a post before you said
I think most understand it deep inside but emotions took over long time ago and this stock became their "baby" so to speak. When it's this personal, common sense things can become fuzzy.
AS&E was trading almost x3 higher just few years before it was sold. You can bet employees got options above the buyout price.
Options price has nothing to do with buyout.
What makes you think buyout automatically means higher share price? What if this price right here IS the buyout price (+/- couple cents)? Impossible?
Can't it be the reason for staying here for such a long time? The "round number" theory doesn't apply anymore.
Agreed. Just trying to explain that if a company doesn't comply, it simply moves down to lower level market (Grey market for example) and/or gets Caveat Emptor "medal".
It's not the end of the world for a company as some suggest. But I agree that it'd be extremely stupid if Implant to allow this to happen in this case.
It exists because the rules are different and one of biggest differences is that there are really no "major" consequences for failing to meet those rules.
I pretty much stopped trading OTC couple of years ago (IMSC is the exception) but I specifically remember companies still trading without filling quarterly reports OR extension (which is the worst offence), etc. They simply lose certain "benefits" and get a special label.
Can't do that on major exchange.
Don't want to disappoint you but I used to trade/follow (some) OTC stocks for at least 7 years and I saw plenty of missed "deadlines". It's just the way it is whether you like it or not.
Um... if rules were the same then there'd be no need for OTC
I've been thinking about this for the last few weeks. This area has some sort of "magnetism". IMO it's somehow related to whatever PR is coming.

Never said that. I stand by my prediction of buyout of X2~.
I have never changed by prediction either. And if I'm way off, I will be the first here to congratulate longs who made $$.
Why is it now that buyout hasn't happened before end of June, all of a sudden some "partnership" is better? There hasn't even been a talk of partnership few months ago... buyout was taunted as a guarantee.
I don't currently have a position. Used to have a pretty decent position before certification and ended up selling for a small profit after it started the descend from post cert highs. Then traded bunch of times.
If you look at my history, I used to be very positive on this company but I learned my lesson a long time ago not to get "married" to a stock and have a clear mind. So here we are.
At this point I'm just extremely curious to see the outcome and that's one of the main reasons I'm still here
Oh I have brought this up before

I hope you realize that AS&E and Reveal were developing "future" products as well at the time of acquisition. Don't know about Morpho though.
In fact, Reveal's CT-120 (which was being developed during acquisition) is about to tap into a $1B high-speed EDS market. Don't want to say anything about AS&E because this product isn't public yet (not 100% sure).
And ALL companies have IP. Why do you even bring it up?
IDIQ doesn't guarantee any revenue. That's why there's an 'I' in it. So if I was a buyer I'd look at TSA Technology Investment Plan for the next few years. Also talk to TSA insiders (but since no one here knows insiders then no need to guess because it's pointless). If I remember correctly (you can Google it), it's about 350 ETD per year for the next 3 years or so.
Anything else is a gamble and smart M&A folks don't gamble.
Great comeback there. Care to explain why?
No, I'm simply showing an example where a company after BK keeps operating under the same name, still producing the same products (minus some brands), still honoring warranties, and yet shareholders were wiped out.
So please stop (not necessarily directed at you) stating that job openings, orders, trade shows, etc. mean that BK is out of the question. GM was doing all that just before going BK. Maybe not on hiring spree but I'm sure they had job openings too.
The details of bailout, etc. are irrelevant to shareholders.
You are taking my quote out of context.
Many here are claiming that because TSA, CATSA, etc. are ordering systems, then it means BK is not possible. I simply brought up GM example to shatter this false claim.
Yes, BK is unlikely but NOT because of the reason mentioned above.
One thing for sure, it's not shareholders. The rest is irrelevant
A company does not have to automatically cease to exist if it files BK. Case in point - GM.
So all this talk about "CATSA, TSA ordering = no BK" is nonsense.
Having said that, I also don't believe there's going to be BK... they will be bought out and it's just a question of valuation.
Still "tiny" volume?
Or what's the reason not to worry this time?
Agreed. Don't forget insider buys at 1.40 (if I'm not mistaken... been following too many bios)
You got a position, Stevo?
I'm gonna hold though unless there's a nice run-up
OK, I give up.
Anything is possible in 10 years just nothing related to Implant.
Never heard that before. People in the industry always used to say that in the future you will be able to carry PC with you and everyone will have one
I don't need to guess since I work in this industry and with all related agencies.
Not gonna happen.
He was talking about Implant patented sensors.
I see max 2.5x. been saying it 3 months ago before AS&E was acquired.
I see max 2.5x. been saying it 3 months ago before AS&E was acquired.
Smith didn't buy Morpho for ETD. I've said it many times before but for some reason no one believes me
I have no idea about any deals but you can see my post history regarding valuation is buyout indeed takes place.
And who will pay up by deadline?
It'll simply mean 110% buyout next week. This is how it goes here
If you don't understand this, please read the sticky post.
If you still don't understand it after reading it.... I suggest you don't play with fire.... so to speak.
LOL, I know. But I hope those are already out by now. There's always a new wave on newbies after a massacre.
Ahhh, it's "the fed" excuse again.
Never gets old.
So who's still holding from high teens? Plenty of folks here were claiming it's a buy of a lifetime and they'll be averaging down into fall.

CYDY, nice! Just the start
