Holding up quite nicely. Even if it dips a bit, without news this is exactly what one would expect.
I hope that before the end of the month, we're singing a different tune about what's 'usual'.
Hopefully tomorrow, and more hopefully, it's bigger news!
I hope we know more about what's in store in ~12 hours.
Exciting times ahead, regardless. I hope everyone here can get what they came here for. I'm trying to build a stronger home for my new family, and I want everyone here, pleasant or cantankerous, to have what they want, too.
The energy on the board during these rushes is a real welcome change of pace.

I simply disagree. A PR should be able to surprise people. It will always be at 6am ET, but the day of the week CHANGING will have a fluid-inducing effect on the day-to-day, noise-related PPS movements.
Friday PM's are nice too :)
Historically speaking, yes.
But bear in mind that I would love for KBLB to totally change the way they communicate, so that ideally, the day of the effectively Tuesday-only PRs are a thing of the past.
And shares sure are moving now!
A Tuesday AM (or Friday PM/Monday AM) PR could really light a candle if it's got the meat!
That scenario, as phrased, wouldn't apply to the questions I asked, as phrased to Ben.
I asked, specifically, about progress and status of:
1) VN
2) Second international facility
3) Second domestic facility
4) 'Recognized sportswear apparel' company
So to answer your question as honestly as I can: I'm not sure.
That Bid is sure chasing that Ask...
A Tuesday AM (or Friday PM/Monday AM) PR could really light a candle if it's got the meat!
I ALWAYS CC Jon for that reason :)
1/3/2017
Ben has told me to expect many updates on specific requests that I made on or before the SS date, so anything short of that would be disappointing.
I don't think there are many on this board more critical of fluff PRs than I am, so that's absolutely not what I'm looking for.
My disappointment would stem from the company, via their IR, directly misleading me. I'd prefer to not be let down for once and remain optimistic that January will have some big news.
I'll say this: If there is only 1 PR prior to the ~1/20 SS, I will be disappointed, ALMOST regardless of what that PR is. I want 1/10 and 1/17 to be big days for all here.
Almost, of course, could be assuaged if the PR is monumental.
couple of good PRS
Hopefully we get more specifics in the near future, either through PR or maybe in the Spider Sense...
Question about Bid/Ask:
I'm just curious: If the Bid is holding a 0.053 and the Ask is holding at 0.055, from where do these 10,000 share trades at 0.054 come from? If someone is offering 0.054, shouldn't that be on the Ask? Are they putting small instant-filling amounts up such that the B/A doesn't even update?
Just curious.
Ask shaping up nicely this morning...gotta love the person that wakes up, logs into their brokerage account at 6:35AM and puts 1 share on the Ask for $200.
That's a real diehard.
Market's closed tomorrow for New Years, so the 2017 market opens on Tuesday, 1/3. I know someone that loves Tuesday PRs...
Maybe KBLB will get the year started off on the right foot. It's certinaly not fire and brimstone if they don't , but it sure would send a nice message that they understand that 2017 needs to be fundamentally different than any year in the company's history.
Well I hope for all our sakes, we see a 2017 turnaround.
I would trade all the Spider Sense's for one live Q+A with Kim per year. I think he has gotten VERY cozy not having to answer to anyone for his regular missed timelines.
One way or another, communication NEEDS to improve. That's a big part of the reason that we're at $0.05 per share. The market at large has no reason to trust one word that man says, because he spouts of estimates and then NEVER follows up.
Maybe we'll see a change and things transition to more commercial avenues. That requires somewhere to produce and someone to buy, PRs I hope (I don't predict, though) to see in Jan-Feb 2017.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the North Face/Spiber jacket is something that is housed in glass due to its fragility (and the Adidas sneakers more or less as well)...I'm not saying they're not "keeping the good stuff in the back", but there's no evidence of future fabric qualities publicly so it seems safer to assume it's more gimmick than product SO FAR.
Anything can change with a PR/third party verification though. They certainly haven't stopped working...
Well, we did get an update on the Army, so that was true. That was one of the things I asked about.
I'm not particularly interested (other than to point out that there is no proof of product on shelf) because it's snake oil versus high-tech textiles. Their snake oil happens to biodegrade and they shunt on on the superstitious marketplace that also drives the exploitation of endangered species. And now they're trying to reach European yuppies with more money than sense to boot.
It's just disingenuous of the OPs and follow-up commiserators to insinuate that AMSilk has 'won the race', or is really a competitor of KBLB at all. They've simply found a new way to fleece the foolish. I believe KBLB has bigger plans with their silk.
EOC on my end, as it's becoming asinine.
Again and for the last time:
Those aren't products that I can go to the store and buy.
https://www.ulprospector.com/en/na/PersonalCare/Detail/1468/642196/Silkbeads?st=20&sl=42865928&crit=SW50ZXJuZXQgU2VhcmNoID4gUmFobiBVU0EgQ29ycC4%3d&ss=2
https://www.ulprospector.com/en/na/PersonalCare/Detail/1468/642197/Silkgel?st=20&sl=42865928&crit=SW50ZXJuZXQgU2VhcmNoID4gUmFobiBVU0EgQ29ycC4%3d&ss=2
Those are MSDSs effectively. They've made an additive to existing products, and I don't see ANY evidence that a product is on the shelf that contains Silkbeads or Silkgel, and ZERO of your links or subsequent links therein provide any evidence to the contrary.
Dog, meet Pony.
You've got lots of links like this, but at the end of them all, I'm still left without the name of the product or any sense of what the properties are.
KBLB is making shoot packs for the US Army. AMSilk is vaguely putting their goo into Asian face creams without names. I prefer our side of that see-saw, personally (not that you're arguing that point).
AMSilk definitely seems like gimmickry is the end-goal with the releases you're posting.
Distribution Partners do not equal products on shelves though, correct?
Ehhh...that has a bit of stink to it. If Kraig did that, I WOULD say "Fraud".
It's like my model girlfriend. She lives in Canada though, you wouldn't know her.
Addition: Incidentally, I'm happy that Kraig isn't going after the CHM market. Crushed up rhino horns and elephant tusks are not what I want my product to be associated with, so I'm MORE THAN HAPPY to let AMSilk have that scammy association.
They're selling product? To who?
Completely agree with the first part, but having Adidas in the bag sort of makes the second part sound silly.
Addition: As does, to an extent, people saying that about KBLB given our Army deal. I'd argue that Spiber/North Face, AmSilk/Adidas, and KBLB/Army are all more or less similar: trial runs. Who will come out on top depends on which company can provide the end user with the BEST PRODUCT.
The race is still very much on, I agree with you there.
Interesting to watch people not budge off of that Ask, until they do of course :)
Thanks :) Exciting times to say the least.
so they are moving forward with domestic production for those other clients.
What portion of the company do you suppose a VC would want for $50m that the others got?
Make 2017 great.
Recall from the last PR:
“The Indiana factory scale up of our proprietary recombinant spider silk, we call Dragon silk, has exceeded our expectations. As we ship this first batch of Dragon Silk cocoons dedicated for the US Army, we are already beginning to prepare for production of fibers ready for commercial sale to some of our primary end users,” said Company Founder and CEO Kim Thompson.
The Company will now begin to sell its Dragon Silk and Monster Silk fibers, in earnest, to the various parties that have submitted sample requests, with priority given to substantive collaborative development agreements and key end uses.
It may be harder but in the end we own the company and not a VC.
That was the point of public stocks in the first place.
It was to let you and I be able to invest in a business.
If they got traditional financing they wouldn't need shareholders.
I believe the combination of our product AND active marketing could have seen KBLB as the flagship company getting the deals with Lexus, North Face, Adidas, based on our increased public perception. We'd have the Army due to the strength of our product. It's two separate things.
Do good work, and be able to promote that work. KBLB does one and not the other. Spiber does one and not the other. The hope, and why I'm still happily invested, is that in the long term, product should win out. However, my main point is that they are not mutually exclusive ideas. If we had the product and the hype, I believe the SP would be on a wholly other level now, and with much more stability.
Spiber has money now and they may bust (or boom) depending on what they can produce with it. We have the product and the tech ready, but we don't have the clout to move things as they could move. With MILLIONS more on hand, I do believe that VN could be faster even without bribery. It's about sending over good people, high-powered dealers.
Kim had a great idea, Fraser developed it efficiently, but now we're on the tarmac at JFK waiting when we could have chartered a private jet to get us where we want to be.
I'm not playing what-if, or Monday morning QB, I'm merely confused as to why anyone can say with a straight face that they've done an adequate job with the business perception side of things when you look at what companies that can't produce a fraction of what we can have done.
I believe that we're getting closer by the day, but for some, including me, that day is starting to put me in an investment vice. I'm getting ready to have my first child, and when we were promised the moon in 2015 by the CEO himself (let alone 2014, 2013, and now 2016) and we sit at $0.05/share with a SELL on American Bulls (not the be all end all, but certainly not where we want to be), I can't help but think about where we could be if there had been more of an effort to emulate the other companies' business efforts while maintaining our strong R+D.
Kim has done more with far less money
