IMO the plans are relatively unambitious, except for the Lexus division. Market seems to like it. The plans will have to be accelerated if tsla is successful in bringing a "low priced" 4-seater compact EV to market.
TM - EVs better late than never. VW's highly anticipated ID Buzz supposedly will get here in 2023 finally.
https://arstechnica.com/cars/2021/12/toyota-opens-up-about-its-battery-ev-strategy-shows-off-new-suvs/
Ahhh yes, living the Matrix dream. LOL.
TSLA/DDAIF - Mercedes "beats" Tesla to regulatory approval for L3 hands free driving. That's huge news that I became aware of today. But then I laughed when I read the article about the maximum speed allowed on the Autobahn. 37 mph ! That would be a good way to get killed !
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-12-09/mercedes-beats-tesla-to-hands-free-driving-on-german-autobahn
ABUS - agree that Sofia is not showing everything even if that includes something better in the works. If you blow up the graph I referred to in earlier post, there is an unlabeled median data point (bold circle) that suggest Sofia is working on core inhibitor better than AB-836. What is ENTA suggesting as combos to core inhibitor? IMCR's TCR seems the most unique but non-oral as you pointed out.
Any guesses on What will be required IYO in terms of LOGs for RNAi to be viable in a combo therapy if core inhibitor alone provides ~3-4 LOGs of reduction? Also, what IMO will be the third drug in a combo?

Seems like this nuke application should be seriously evaluated again.
https://www.flexport.com/blog/nuclear-powered-cargo-ships/
ABUS Yes early data as I stated. Re slide 5 graphic, both x and y axis are two different circular DNA HepDE19 cell concentrations. Probably animal models given the number of points shown. N=4 results in line that graphic with their latest version of molecule being 836 shown in comparison to earlier designs.

ABUS - It's still early data. For the 100mg cohort, ABUS said median reduction of 3.1 logs at 28 days. Not that far from the ENTA's results on 800mg cohort. If recollection serves. Look forward to more data. see right graph on slide 5.

ABUS/Genevant/MRNA -
Licensing amendment between ABUS and Genevant clarifies roles and rules for infringement action. Not sure how long MRNA can drag out the infringement out in court. What's the typical time range for getting to court decision?

Re HBV ab-836 results seem in the same ball park as edp-514. Am I reading that right.
Probably the only way to attract top talent required to sustain AI effort. Something that an INTC branded company and stock cannot attract enough of. If tesla fsd is IOS-like, then Mobileye is my top pick for being Android-like.
What's your best guess on timing of FDA review? IMO the best interpretation of her trades is that she is good at trading. Good for her.
IBM - Can you summarize where Barron's sees the source of their growth? Do they have technological edges in anything? TIA
Much depends on TSLA's ability to ramp 4680 cells at new factories. If they are successful, then perhaps 10-20% higher. Battery cell manufacturing capacity will be limiting factor in foreseeable future.
Agree that it is just following the adoption curve. What will be impressive is next year's number when BEV+PHEV exceeds 10M units next year, perhaps by a lot. Tesla will exit next year at 2M/yr run rate.
https://www.ev-volumes.com/
Thx. Meh too.
For cohorts E and F, starting was around 10**3.5, ending was around 10**(-1.5) for a grand total delta of 3.5-(-1.5)=5
ARWR/ABUS - Agree that ARWR/JNJ data is not impressive. ABUS otoh is getting >5 log reduction although they need to increase N.
https://investor.arbutusbio.com/news-releases/news-release-details/arbutus-announces-new-data-ab-729-late-breaker-poster
MRNA - Is there a cultural issue at the top ranks of the company in attributing equitable contributions from outside the company? This is the latest after rulings on nano-lipid carriers that is being adjudicated in patent courts. The latter applies to BNTX as well. Perhaps there are no rules in an emergency.

That observation is driving Loeb/3rd point to push for separate entities. Not a whole lot different than COP separating upstream and downstream. IMO RDS will do it within a few years.
RDS/CVX/XOM/OXY/COP - The clock is running ever faster. NG will have a longer runway IMO.

Texas - Gov. Abbott said in June that everything that needs to be fixed has been done to prevent freeze driven power outage. Little if anything has been done to weatherize gas production and transmission. Just another political hack.
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-10-30/texas-energy-grid-remains-vulnerable-to-winter-blackouts
I get the impression that Mobileye is used by most of the China EV makers with the exception of Xpeng. What are they doing in China on SD AI and who has the biggest proprietary fleet size with proprietary software?
Savings in material and distance traveled within cells for electrons, plus adding structural strength to car frame. Tesla engineering thinks differently as Steve Jobs said about Apple when he was leading the charge. IDK if the 50% savings is just form factor or includes chemistry changes - have to go back and review.
TSLA/Panasonic - Latter comes closer to scaling production of 4680 format cells at 50% cost reduction compare to 2170 format.

People that are paying certainly don't think it is vaporware. IMO it is definitely not vaporware even though "Full" in FSD could be "full-of-it" but they are head and shoulders better than what is available from others. VW building a coding school is an indication.
RE come back to haunt them. How do you see that manifested theoretically? Seems that there is enough cars and customers for them to realize legal push back already if there is foundation for action.
Kosherity doesn't seem to be entering the buying decision for "FSD". It should be assumed that people evaluate their options and comparison shop before paying for options. IMO I will pay for it as a SAAS subscription for long road trips and AP is good enough for normal use. Other manufacturers don't have anything close even if you pay full freight for their tech packages.
Perhaps in the early innings pre-2018/19 they needed to hype to survive all the snipers. Now they don't have to hype as others are years behind if you think of EV's as mobile computers. It is clear they have the best integrated hardware and software system built from the ground up while everybody else is kluging together legacy components with newer requirements.
Probably because car buyers are willing to pay other car makers for their "tech" packages for not much less than 10K with no where near the capability of TSLA's software.
TSLA - the truth hurts. While TSLA may get there with path predictions heuristics, it still ain't there yet. The marketing hype of "FULL self driving" should just be dialed back to Tesla advanced cruise or something to that effect.
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-10-20/tesla-fans-musk-in-uproar-as-nhtsa-taps-biased-safety-adviser
Went looking for exterior caulking for exterior maintenance and was shocked at the lack of inventory. Store clerk said "yeah it's been tough getting anything".
It's warm and comfortable to be condemned by the CCP.
RVNC - I have a smidgen and this one smells like many others in biotech land where management is just milking the capital markets and investors whether through intention or incompetence.
Seems like an article written by entrenched energy industry. For example, California drought and fires causing lack of hydro electricity and shut downs of HV transmission lines. What are the causes of this 1000 yr. drought and fires?
In Texas, the theory of renewables causing power grid problems has been completely debunked. That is, gas production infrastructure was not weatherized to with stand low temps and gas-hydrates plug the pipelines and wells. I wrote about this in response to questions posted here when it was happening. Renewables had nothing to do with it. In fact Tesla is building their own battery backup for their operations. How did arctic air get down into Texas? Where did the dependable jet stream go that keeps arctic air in the arctic?
Didn't follow what happened in Louisiana. links?
Friend with severe insomnia swears by CBD gummies - takes half of one as whole one creates day time fog. Tried different conventional meds but ineffective or afraid of side effects (addiction specifically).
That's a big assumption isn't it?. ie ROCE of money spent on new oil and gas ventures greater than that of ROCE on renewables. I look at risk adjusted ROCE and IMO it is the other way around and the EU situation now is proving my point.
As for Lee Raymond misinformation campaign legacy, why stick your neck out when you barely move the needle. Is XOM actually arrogant enough to think that global oil use will hinge upon their campaign? What they have done instead is pile up legal liability.
I don't see anyway or advantage of keeping something like that secret. They already bought the former Rambus HQ a long time ago to house their Silicon Valley R&D project - without making much of a dent in their intransigent culture BTW. IYO what did TM give up by publicizing Woven Planet? IMO it is good PR to let customers and financiers know that their products will be every bit as good as X brand etc.
TM - Trying a different approach led by originator of Waymo. Building the software platform first, then frame structure and mechanics around that. Sounds like what AAPL skunk works is doing.

It is too bad the rain is falling at places that don't have hydro infrastructure. Warming climate changes weather patterns, what a surprise!
This graph explains the power (water) shortage in Europe. Norway grid is connected to Germany via Denmark.
