"I have a worm in my back door or something. {g}"
LOL! Oh, that can't be good!
I bet that itches!
"Heck et, my understanding is that in most of the parts of Asia that tourists get to you can rent or lease a Girlfriend pretty cheap."
Could that be used as a "write-off"?
Santa Claus rally this year?
I'm afraid we're all going to get a lump of coal.
I hope not. I've been a good boy this year!
Bruce, How often (if ever) do you empty your "Prefetch" folder?
"... so that they look like BUTTONS, rather than mini-logos..."
LOL! Yeah, you would think!
I found it. And turned it on (under XP).
Thanks again,
Scott
Bruce, I have Norton Anti-virus 2002, but that isn't really a firewall, is it?
Wow, I just assumed RoadRunner had a firewall as part of the outfit, since it's cable.
A whole year without a firewall, no wonder I had so many viruses.
Which one do you recommend?
Scott
Damn, that was easy, it was so obvious, I can't believe I couldn't figure that one out!
I shouldn't try to do anything before having a Doppio.
Here's your double latte. Do you want anything with that?
Thanks again,
Scott
Bruce, I have RoadRunner. How do I find the "firewall log'?
I'm not having any luck finding it.
Thanks,
Scott
Is it just me, or is Kodak really going the way of Polaroid?
Kodak (EK) looks like a good short to me.
They should give up film altogether and concentrate their efforts on digital. Film sales continue to drop each year and this will only continue, at a faster pace, in the coming years (some 3rd world countries actually showed an increase in film sales, but eventually, the tide will turn there, too.)
It's a shame to see this great American company diving to the bottom of the barrel, but I'm afraid that's where they're headed.
To the bottom, with Polaroid.
"BT, here's a link to the FREE anti-virus program I've been using for several weeks now. Seems to work pretty decent, but then I am behind a physical firewall, i.e., an Earthlink "Home Portal" (which is supposed to be a modem & router in one box) plus a switch.
Anyhoo, just thought you might like to check it out. "

Are we supposed to "click" on all 3 umbrellas at the bottom of the download page? This site is a little confusing to me, on what to download.
I'll have a double espresso while I wait for your reply.
Thanks, doggie.
O.K, I looked at Yahoo and didn't see anything.
"We are hearing that the initial spike in FNSR is being attributed to a rumor that the co cancelled its appearance at the RBC conference due to an imminent takeover of the co. However, take this with a grain of salt, since we cannot confirm either the cancellation or the takeover rumor. "
Are these your thoughts, or someone elses?
O.K., thanks Syl. eom
So, you like NENG for a pop or are you in this one for awhile?
Thinking of shorting SNDK? Think aagin.
The head of Canon's digital camera unit expects Japaneese camera manufacturers to ship between 40 and 44 million digital cameras in 2004. That's about a 60% increase over 2003 units shipped.
That's only going to bode well for companies like SanDisk and Lexar.
We're not even in the middle of the "S" curve when we are talking about digital camera hardware.

The oranges are fine. The frost didn't get much farther south than Gainesville.
"
Thank God!
There's nothing like a glass of O.J. to get one going in the morning (except, maybe, a Dopio espresso from Starbucks!).
"Got down into the high 20's in north Florida last night but the frost has already melted."
Are the oranges o.k.?
Please tell me the oranges are o.k.! :>)
"If we'd caught Bin Laden rather than Saddam we might have had a genuine rally."
I doubt it. The result would have been the same in my opinion.
Everyone expects a big rally to happen when Saddam and Bin Laden are (were) caught, so it's not going to happen.
If Saddam would have been caught during market hours, I think "Shorty" would have panicked and really drove up the indicies.
However, it happened on a Sunday and people had a whole day to analize the situation.
I still hope Bin Laden is caught soon, though.
O.K., thanks,Linda. eom
Linda,
Don't you own mostly "China" stocks?
Did they ever answer the questions from your e-mail?
I thought you talked to someone on the phone from NENG, but you were waiting on answers from an e-mail you sent them.
Ya just knew this would happen:

Shareholder Class Action Filed Against Network Engines, Inc. By The Law Firm of Schiffrin & Barroway, LLP
Tuesday December 16, 4:53 pm ET
BALA CYNWYD, Pa., Dec. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- The following statement was issued today by the law firm of Schiffrin & Barroway, LLP:
Notice is hereby given that a class action lawsuit was filed in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts on behalf of all purchasers of the common stock of Network Engines, Inc. (Nasdaq: NENG - News; "Network Engines" or the "Company") from November 6, 2003 through December 10, 2003, inclusive (the "Class Period").
If you wish to discuss this action or have any questions concerning this notice or your rights or interests with respect to these matters, please contact Schiffrin & Barroway, LLP (Marc A. Topaz, Esq. or Stuart L. Berman, Esq.) toll-free at 1-888-299-7706 or 1-610-667-7706, or via e-mail at info@sbclasslaw.com.
The complaint alleges that by the start of the Class Period, defendants knew, but failed to disclose, that Network Engines was in the process of renegotiating its distribution contract with EMC, and that EMC was demanding price reductions, which, if agreed to, would negatively impact the Company's future financial results. Nevertheless, throughout the Class Period, defendants issued positive statements highlighting the Company's strong financial performance, continued growth and the success of its relationship with EMC, its largest customer. Defendants failed to disclose, however: (i) that the Company was in the process of renegotiating its distribution contract with EMC; (ii) that EMC was demanding price concessions to bring its agreement with Network Engines in line with the pricing that Network Engines was providing to other customers; (iii) that the new distribution contract with EMC would negatively impact the Company's future financial performance; (iv) that the Company would not be able to sustain the growth in its gross margins as a result of the amended contract; and (v) as a result, the Company's positive statements issued during the Class Period were materially false and misleading when made.
Finally, on December 10, 2003, the Company announced, among other things, that it had renegotiated its distribution contract with EMC and the amended contract would negatively impact the Company's gross profit related to the sale of EMC-approved Host Bus Adapters and the Company's distribution operations gross profit.
Following this announcement, shares of Network Engines common stock fell $3.92 per share, or 39%, to close at $6.10 per share, on extraordinarily high trading volume, and have continued to decline since that time.
Plaintiff seeks to recover damages on behalf of class members and is represented by the law firm of Schiffrin & Barroway, which prosecutes class actions in both state and federal courts throughout the country. Schiffrin & Barroway is a driving force behind corporate governance reform, and has recovered in excess of a billion dollars on behalf of institutional and high net worth individual investors. For more information about Schiffrin & Barroway, or to sign up to participate in this action online, please visit http://www.sbclasslaw.com.
If you are a member of the class described above, you may, not later than February 17, 2004, move the Court to serve as lead plaintiff of the class, if you so choose. In order to serve as lead plaintiff, however, you must meet certain legal requirements. You may retain Schiffrin & Barroway, or other counsel of your choice, to serve as your counsel in this action.

Class action lawsuits are the BIGGEST SCAM going. The only ones who makeout in these deals are the LAWYER BASTARDS.
When all said and does, the shareholder may get a penny for every share they held. WHAT A JOKE!
When I get my letter in the mail, it's going right in the TRASH.
DISCLAIMER: I have NO respect for MOST attorneys. They're scumbags, in my opinion.
Glad to hear Wonderdog is doing fine. eom
Wahz: Thanks for your "detective" work". eom
Me, I doubled a position today.
Hi Linda, Do you own CHINA (the stock, not the country)?
I was wondering what you thought of it.
Thanks.
Cool, 3 hard drives.
That AMD 2.4, what's that equel to in P4 clockspeed?
You've got a crusin' system there, nice!
"Of course it is. Greenie & Andrea have been keeping Saddam (as well as Osama, Idi Amin, Ferdinand Marcos, Elvis, etc.) captive for years in the basement of their Georgetown row house, ready to pull them out at a moment's notice whenever it becomes necessary to their nefarious plans. {g}"
It's part of the PPT, isn't it?
"As for the liberals, the fact we found no weapons of mass destruction is enough to feed that pov. That was the reason given to initiate this war, wasn't it?"
I thought it was because Iraq (Sadam) was in violation of countless U.N resolutions since the 1st war in Iraq.
Do you think we'll have a big "Gap and Crap" Monday?
I moved my 401k to cash on Friday.
They would have to find that poor bastard on a weekend, wouldn't they.
What will the liberals cry about now?
Oh yeah, we haven't found Osama.
Time is running out for him, too.
Since I followed your recommendation and blocked 3rd party "cookies", rarly does Ad-Aware find "anything".
SpyBot was found 73 "objects"!
1 was Wurld Media target list.
A few DOS exploits
A Gator item (i can't remember what it was, I deleted it)
And a lot of "Back...something...Web".
Another great find!
Thanks again,
Scott

Wahz, thank you again, for your insight.
I like NENG long term. I'll be buying more, probably on Monday.
Yes, that should work.
Do you have a site to post the photos?
Thanks, Bruce.
You should be able to do the same with a scanned image.
That program should allow you scan photos and save them to a folder.
When saving them , save the photos as small jpegs.
When you make the scans, use 300 dpi, that should be plenty for posting on the net.
Now as far as getting them on the net, you will have to post themon a website first and then provide a link.
Although, if you know HTML (and I don't), I think you can just add it to your post here on I-HUB.
Like the coyote and roadrunner pic in a previous post of yours.
How did you do that? Post a photo should be the same.
I'm a little in the dark on this one, I must say. I rarly use a scanner and I've never posted a photo on the net, but I have attached many to e-mails and sent them over the internet.
Do you have photoshop?
"Stick around. We'll be happy to help you change that to "Build myself". "
That's very possible, with a little help from my brother-in- law. He's an electronics engineer.
Of course, I'll be asking lots of questions here, too!
Thanks again, Bruce.
And if you have any questions concerning digital photography, ask away. I'll do my best to answer them.
O.k., thanks, Wahz. eom
