I doubt it. The result would have been the same in my opinion.
Everyone expects a big rally to happen when Saddam and Bin Laden are (were) caught, so it's not going to happen.

If Saddam would have been caught during market hours, I think "Shorty" would have panicked and really drove up the indicies.

However, it happened on a Sunday and people had a whole day to analize the situation.

I still hope Bin Laden is caught soon, though.
