"Perhaps it is the area that I'm in?'
Are you texting a 'brand', which is national/area code agnostic, rather than a generic which may be area code(s) specific?
"Has anybody tried to get in contact with the CEO of StarInvest Group and inquire about Ike's departure from there as well as what was going on there while Ike was there?'
Yeah, that's at the top of everyones' to do list. I plan on asking him at the exhibit booth later today. I wonder how many people could pass your 'working history sniff test' and EVER transition to a new job?
"I have tried every combo possible, nothing works."
What is the phone brand/model? I want to troubleshot this with G0800 to see what the issue might be.
"I do know my Droid does not work with GO800,'
Why exactly? Text entry, or something in the software that defeats the connection?
Your telling me that the movie "Fargo" was not accurate?
Sarah Palin is descended from Minnesotans who settled in the
part of AK where she was born, which is why she sounds like that.
"BTW it's Yeah Dude not Yah Dood"
'Yah dood" is acceptable usage in MN and acrcoss Canada, you betcha.
Doone, how was the convention floor activity at the G0800 booth today?
"comparing watermelons to grapes here" ;o)
Not even. More like apples to tomatoes
"sounds spammy, while our service is different."
http://www.zoove.com/mdc_common_questions.html
EXACTLY. Just dial for a cascade of advertising sent to your mobile phone!
"StarStar Codes are intelligent phone numbers that expand the reach of marketing campaigns by connecting mobile consumers with brands, marketing offers and promotions. StarStar Codes are available as 2 to 12 digit codes that can be displayed as a brand name (**BRAND), much like a domain name, making them easy for consumers to remember and use. By simply dialing a StarStar Code, a consumer can receive a wide variety of marketing offers and promotions including applications, coupons, text, web, multimedia, and voice/IVR delivered directly to their mobile phone."
"can you have goig pre load the phone numbers of these guys so that when you show up its easy to demonstrate our service?'
Yes. Everybody I call has a reserved keyord and phone# ready for their use.
"I know your only kidding about us Canucks being in the back woods..."
LOL!!
I VERY much appreciate Canadians, particularly the ones who lace up their ice skates for Chicago and wear the Native American head jersey.
sign guy,
NY tells me that you have an active rep and that they will notify him. If he's dealing with 100 reserved brands like I am he may be
working them in cycles like I am. Lot of 'telephone tag'.
"any ambassadors reading this board may want to give me a call."
signguy/Dennis, please email me with your contact info and I will find out who your Ambassador is. I can do nothing with your reserved keyword while it is in the system and assigned. Need to find out if that Ambassador is still 'live'!
dhippe@msn.com
Did you respond to the 'opt out' link? Again, all the SEC will concern themselves with, if at all, is the pro forma disclaimer and the opt out. You've got your shorts in a bunch over not much.
The disclaimers are all the the SEC would look at.
"So what is it, signed and paid for a contract or just testing Go800 out?'
Since I'm the Ambassador involved, here it is.
Signed contract for two brand key words as of June 1.
'Test' for a portion of Brand by Area Code Program working its way through company's invoicing set up.
I expect you to not send something based upon "I don't know...but if". SEC will laugh it and you off.
Another suspension for ACLH....
Not bloody likely. What part of this do you find to not be in compliance with SEC guidelines for such emails?

"if" is the operative word. I don't see how your email helps anyone still long this stock. It couldn't have waited until tomorrow?
"I'm not saying that this was really from Ares, or if this was a hacker,.."
Great. Some of us hoping for some good news and a possible bounce in pps, and you submit something you're "not saying.....'
How were you actually harmed by the email? Probably what the SEC will ask as well.
"I wonder if that email was really from Ares"
I do too as I didn't get one despite having exchanged emails with him. Don't know why mine wouldn't have been 'harvested'.
"Blackhawks... I think I remember you saying that you will be attending the conference, and probably going tomorrow?"
That was the plan. However I'm fighting a vicious summer head cold that will make my handshake on the convention floor damned near a 'terrorist act'! I'm hoping for Thursday, but it doesn't look good right now. I am disappointed as I wanted to meet Ike and attend some of the exhibitor presentations.
"It has been said that the sales force is 6 and they would be moving to a new location to accommodate their increasing staff."
I'm not certain we can connect the 6 sales people to a Manhatten office. "Increasing staff" includes at least one tech support person that I know about. Why wouldn't you want geographical distribution among the six cities with the most corp headquarters?
I don't know either, just raisng some possibilities
"I don't know who is selling the keywords but I'm sure there is not "sales force".'
You had me at "I don't know". You don't. Do you know how many field sales forces that major companies deploy are not office based? I didn't think so. Even companies that do have offices for their sales people allow more and more 'virtual office' time to cut down on time and fuel wasting commutes and to free up their people to work in their territories.
Maybe too many "Glengarry Glen Ross", "The Tin Men" and "Boiler Room" movies for you!?
"Tight, skilled, got-it-together deal-making salespeople are very, very hard to find."
In this economy? Not so difficult!
Gekko: "Well, in my book you either do it right or you get eliminated..."
That's in Ike's 'Ambassadors Book' too. There are expectations and benchmarks. It's more Darwinian than you might suspect.
"QUESTION FOR AMBASSADORS:..........How indepth r the leases? 1 or 2 pages, and does the business or leasee - cut goip inc. a check for the first month of service, or r they billed monthly? Thanx in advance...or can a leasor sign them up via online?"
Go800 Service and Lease Agreement Order forms are currently 4 pages, 2 of which are legal boiler plate, 1 for billing address, brand, key word,, phone#'s and pricing. Final page is for Authorization for Billing by Credit Card with up front billing month to month, quarterly and annually. There are no current discounts for any billing period.
Signed document can be faxed into NY or scanned and emailed.
There is also a Monthly Invoice plan for companies requiring such billing. This would come in to play for companies with Monthly credit card limits for example.
Ambassadors do not get involved at this time with any online order entry.
"are congrats in order for the stanley cup win?"
Are they ever! After 49 years since the last one, and with an abundance of non-contending sports franchises, Chicago sports fans
deserve the endorphin release attendant with such triumphs!
Macblast will be tuned in tonight looking for just such a phenomenon to be induced by his Celtics.
Alright already.
hug46800 is now reserved.
"..I don't think it has bearing at this point because many tech companies didn't have the access to consumers (or the consumers didn't want or need such products)."
I fully understand that you 'don't think" that my open question "has any bearing" and that you think that "the pieces are all in place" to do what you wish.
Let's just leave it at this. You don't agree with the present Go800 B2B exclusiveley strategy. Neither of us knows about traffic capacity now or in the near future. Neither of us knows the content or timing of the next phases of Go800 marketing and technology. And neither of us knows what the 'pieces' are comprised of as they apply to G0800's available funding and present state of technological development.
That it appear a no-brainer to you does not assure that it IS a no brainer now for the reasons I've stated.
"Many tech companies do B2B and B2C and have no issue with it."
How many were start-ups is an open question. I don't diasgree with any of your arguments for vanity key words. However I don't think any of us yet know about actual traffic or traffic capacity. We also don't know if vanity key words are in phase II or not, or whether the time table or the content for the phases is subject to change.
I do know that Ike is aware of this discussion.
"Ike....VANITY KEYWORDS"
It isn't that there is no merit nor business opportunity for 'vanity keywords'.
It is primarily an infrastructure/network/traffic issue.
It is also a question of business priorities and 'phases' as alluded to in early Go800 PR's.
Do we want to be a B2B AND B2C company right out the door?
We have the answer to that question already.
If you have no three day settlement pending on the stock you want to sell your funds from sale should be available immediately.
How and how quickly you tranfer those funds into a form to walk into Fidelity is the trick. Going to be a challenge IMO. You may want to resign yourself to the fact that you won't likely be trading in SBRH tomorrow.
"should I do an internal transfer from Ameritrade to Fidelity or should take the cash out of Ameritrade and open a Fidelity account, I think the latter will be faster, any comments?'
Option one, an internal transfer, can only be done from one existing account to another EXISTING account. Walking cash or a cashier's check into a Fidelity Branch is your only hope for a quick set-up with Fidelity, or anyone else for that matter. After that, wire transfer is the quickest way to transfer funds from one account to another.
"Has anyone else see this with Ameritrade ???"
I've encountered similar restriction with other stocks on E*trade but NOT Fidelity. I can't say that it will never occur but I've yet to encounter a restriction from Fidelity.
Competitve with the other major trading house commission structures too.
"Trade for $7.95 all the time. All online U.S. equity trades. Unlimited number of shares and trades."
http://personal.fidelity.com/products/atp/content/deepdiscount.shtml.cvsr
May be a little late to be opening another account for SBRH, but down the road it may protect you from a similar situation.
For what it's worth.....0077 to be exact...it is being traded to the tune of 4M shares so far, and back to even for the day.
"The guy is just trying to do the best that he can, at least someone is picking up!"
I don't dispute anything you've stated and I expresed my appreciation to him for his availability as well. But I also indicated that I thought he was being ill served by management leading him to believe PR's were going to be released soon.
"and he now claims a co. from newport beach ca. the office will be closed tuesday,"
You want to translate that for the rest of us?
"....the day after the 12th of Never". Yeah, and I know the rest of the lyrics.
"If the company is viable then we need a good faith disclosure. The company silence tells me it only has bad news."
That's one possible inference and I can't tell you that you're wrong. However I can share with you that even during the suspension I warned Ares that any PR had to be 'airtight', that it must be written both for the eyes of investors and for the eyes at the SEC. I can see how that effort would bleed over into "let's wait for good contract news" as well.
I suggested a "two PR rollout". One PR addressing the suspension and financials, 2nd PR dealing with contract(s), when and if. He presented that approach and doesn't know what they've decided as of this morning.
I expect that just as when people 'capitulate' on a stock and buying comes in shortly thereafter, we are in or near 'mental capitulation' on PR's. Whether the same phenomenon occurs as with stock pps I can't say.
By the time Ares picked up I told him that I had read what had been posted about his recent conversations, so we didn't go over the same ground.
Nothing new to add to what's been posted. He continues to insist that they are a viable business and that they are working on a PR to address all outstanding issues and that it would be issued "soon".
I indicated to him that the word 'soon' had lost any semblance of meaning coming from him.
