"Some"... More like very very few. I believe you are the only one i've seen on this board mention anything about ICEWEB besides you know who claiming to have a trillion shares in UOIP lmao. But regardless i'm referring to why people are here now. Nobody is here for ICEWEB and if you are then you quite frankly aren't very smart because this business isn't even operating. It's a shell being used as a driver for Carter to sue the cable companies. As i've stated, nobody knows about this ticker unless they saw its huge green days on high volume days or they saw it on the hot penny stock boards somewhere. And maybe a handful of people saw the articles posted by a couple different small time media outlets. Just a simple explanation to why volume is very miniscule lately and there isn't much buying power. The longs basically have the ticker locked completely right now because you literally can't get any shares at ask anymore. Unless you want to buy $50 dollars worth at a time or less from MMs
Common folk have no way of finding out about this whole scenerio... I'd be willing to bet money you found this ticker by looking at volume or gain leaders on a penny stock board before. Because like i've said many times thats the only way almost all of us found this board. The big cable companies don't want bad press getting out so they are keeping this under wraps ofcourse like any other law suit. And UOIP could care less about attracting investors, they don't need our money to fund the progression of the law suit as Carter has deep pockets and knows what he owns so he will be taking as much of the pie as possible. This is a very very rare occasion and the ones here first will make tons of money if they have strong hands and don't sell when it gets to a couple pennies or even a nickel... If you have some doubts then sell some maybe to recoup your investment but it really makes no sense to sell this stock for anything less than .2-.25... And even then you might be giving up a nice chunk of profit.
Lol that last sentence was spot on. Now its arguing that more he has more then 51% controlling interest... ALOT more. Which means he can operate under a new set of rules lmfao. It's just inexplicable to me how someone can swear they are so well read and informed on something and yet they sound so ridiculously outlandish anything they say.
"Assets minus liabilities equals what?" Lmao too funny. You really should stop replying and just change your name here on the board. Your reputation is terrible because of saying things like that.
A = L + OE
Assets = Liabilities + Owner's Equity.
Here's a little lesson for you in how Carter can put money in his own pocket:
Settlement in court for $100 dollars. Outstanding shares = 100. Carter owns 51 shares(controlling interest).
The settlement brings the Assets up $100. Which in turn brings up Owner's Equity, because anything that happens on one side of the equation must happen on the other side. So now it would look something like this: 100 = 0 + 100. Then he wants to get the cash to his pockets. Issues a stock dividend for $100 dollars in cash that sits in the assets category. This makes the assets and owner's equity go down $100 dollars each. Because there is no longer cash (assets) worth $100, and the owner's equity is paid out in the form of cash to the shareholder's. Meaning the equation now looks like this 0 = 0 + 0. Each dollar paid out goes to its rightful shareholder. Where Carter would be receiving $51 and the other $49 dollars would go to the respective shareholder. In this case not you because you own no shares.
Does this explanation work for you? I don't know of a different way to dumb it down more. And if you don't understand this then stop trying to be intelligent here with your absurd speculations because you are just persistent in looking past true accounting rules and how business is done in the Unites States and abroad.
Then get the "lifeless slug" out of your portfolio and be rid of it if it's so bad lol. There will be buyer awareness soon. Just takes time for things to develop.
"Basic accounting 101" you never fail to make me laugh lol. There is no way your that ignorant when it comes to accounting and how businesses handle their assets. So your simply here for a reason and thats all there is to it: to bash but act like your invested here to put yourself in the shoes of those who own positions here lol nice try. Explain or direct me to one example of a publicly traded company winning a large settlement and the cash being put into the majority shareholder's pocket. Please just one example is all I ask. But i'm sure you wont reply as usual because you have nothing to back your bs
Like I've said before present us a way this could possibly happen. Like I said the only way he can pocket money is by doing a dividend which means every sahreholder gets paid. Otherwise the assets are just that... assets in the company in the form of cash. Which he wouldn't just leave sitting around. You obviously know nothing about accounting.
According to you there will be no money. "Funny how your story changes so often" your too funny kiddo. Now there will be money but Carter will get it all. So entertain me, how will he go about doing this? Only way the money gets to his pockets is if he does a dividend, WHICH means he issues a dividend on a per share basis. Let me explain since your obviously not very informed when it comes to owning shares in a company. If there are 100 oustanding shares and carter owns 50 and he issues a dividend for a total of 100 dollars. He gets 50 dollars and the other 50 goes to the respective shareholder. Thats how he will get the cash to his pockets or he will decide to run UOIP as an ongoing business (highly doubtful imo). However if royalties are in play then he will just do recurring dividends to payout the royalties to himself and the shareholders. Try again though. Your trying really hard and I like to see your persistance even though its having zero effect lol I don't understand why shorters pay you cuz quite frankly you are terrible at bashing. Just a troll with the mind of a 15 yr old.
Pretty crazy numbers huh? Just $1 billion measly dollars shoots us to about 60 cents per share immediately. It sounds like a pipe dream to outsiders honestly because they haven't been following it as long as us. I remember hearing the numbers when I first got here when people were talking $100-500 million dollar buyout or settlement. That is very low ball for the circumstance here. However even $500 million buyout or settlement makes millionaires here, putting the PPS around 30 cents per share.
Just look at it as a blessing you get more opportunity to keep loading at this level.
They have problems already with infringement because of that company Ruckus Wireless they acquired back in December lol too funny. It's almost like this Modern Telecom waited for them to acquire RWI before they decided to pursue a litigation case. UOIP has a way better case then those guys though.
Ok makes sense. And I can say I definitely agree with you. However right now we are targetting the cable giants so besides look foward a lot further I think the only way we see any money coming from Cisco is through a buyout. Unless ofcourse your referring to their leverage. Being that their leverage takes a hit considering your points so it would encourage them to buyout the patent even more so.
And then this guy shows up as usual to mess up good conversation lol just ignore him.
How would that be a good speculative event for us though? Their upward movement in company value recently and then this rumor coming out I don't get how those two put together could be a good thing for us in the shadows? Maybe i'm just confused or lost as to why putting those together could be a good thing for us. I'd like to pick your brain here that's why i'm asking lol.
Everything is a possibility. And also being how successful we have been against them in the PTAB world, it could very well be a little scare tactic of theirs. I don't know of anybody who has a resume like we do going against Cisco in the PTAB. However with all that being said it's still very speculative being that Cisco deals with patent litigation very regularly and they have hundreds of millions set aside to take care of patent litigation cases. Therefore it could just be them changing their business model to rid themselves of many on going issues that are tearing their profits up.
Lol very very good point. Very speculative at this point though. As much as i'd love that being the case i'm sure we would never get that information anyways because they wouldn't admit that to the public. That would just be an internal decision and then they pay up in or out of court and make a new business plan going forward.
Depends on how you view it. Whatever knowledge is public which is information we are accessing, rest assured Carter has access to that information and is paying close attention to it considering how much it could affect is own pockets. Therefore, it would mean his buyout price would come down dramatically, and Cisco could still be considering a buyout so there is no chance to get reprimanded for a huge sum of money in court. It's basically a settlement, but it assures Cisco going forward that they never have to deal with the Chanbond problem ever again. Whereas going to court they could be crippled for over a billion dollars or more and also this information seems to be rumors at best right now because the article just declares its their intentions to get away from hardware but more then likely won't get away from a lot of their hardware already in place.
I'm also not technologically inclined as most but what you say makes sense. It would essentially mean we get paid by cable companies for past and present infringement, however going forward they would be operating without Chanbond technology. Therefore some type of royalty or business strategy going forward would be out of the works. But i'm very sure almost everyone here is only here until there is a settlement or buyout and aren't worried about the actual business model going forward if there is one considering Billy might just sell out the rights to the patent.
I'm a little lost... What exactly does this pacer report mean?
Yes, ever since the dilution has been obviously gone, the ask has continued to rise slowly. Soon people will realize there are no shares to be had down here at these levels and will start raising their bids. I however would like it to stay down in these levels a little while longer lol.
Yes definitely agree. However I will say at these levels if your smart your almost 100 percent going to make money. As the date gets closer to court then the bids will start coming in and price will gradually go up and have times of high spike to sell part of your position and at the very least get your money back. My average used to be over .007. Now i've managed to get it down to .003 with some smart buys and I can sell off a piece of my position at 1-1.5 cents and have profits and ride the rest. So there are many different routes to coming out with profit no matter what happens in court (if it ever even makes it there). Just got to be smart about it.
Yes very true. The share structure was handled here much better then most OTC tickers. But being that we have been here waiting so long i'm glad it's working out because we have seem some very crazy highs and lows here and we are still here even through the very quiet times where there was nothing to do but wait for information to come out. Only thing is I don't see things moving much without buyer awareness. I think a lot of people here have already put in an investment and want to see some results before getting deeper considering a lot of us here have been here a long time. I recently picked up a nice chunk and i'm pretty happy with my position although i'd always love to build it bigger. Funds are only available so often as i'm newish in the investment life and i'm still young building a portfolio.
So with the current O/S which could very well be the final O/S going into court or settlement/buyout.
$100Mil ~ .06/share
$500Mil ~ .30/share
$1 Bil ~ .61/share
Pretty nice numbers considering more then 100mil has already been put on the table or is getting prepared to be placed on the table here soon. So 100 mil is very very low ball as we all know for what there is in this case. Even closer to $500mil seems a little low considering Comcast alone has been infringing for 6+ years and had over $80B in revenue just last year, and they are just one of the many leading cable companies involved here. Get your position soon, will only see slow and steady rise until it gets closer to court. $1000 investment at this level will get you close to 24 bags just for a $100 mil settlement.
Very nice. I didn't even think about that. Dilution just recently dried up now the TA is putting out share numbers. If that is the final dilution number then thats exciting news because 1.6 bil outstanding is less then what I thought it would get too.
Why are they willing to share with you via email but can't release it to the public? That's weird... Can you provide their email to me?
Also i'm curious where and how you got this update from TA?
I do recall Ram giving a number closer to 2 billion cap. I always went off that for potential return. So a 500 million dollar settlement or buyout now puts you around 30 cents per share just off of cash value. Man what a shitty situation we got ourselves in here at sub 1 cent value huh? I will always value my shares at the number possible for a settlement or buyout vs the capped number of outstanding just to give myself the safest estimate on my ROI. Also remember, Billy Carter loses way more value as his shares get diluted than we do and he's the one most heavily invested here so he won't let it get out of control.
Charles Wizenfield has a pretty nice resume. Fact discovery coming up in a little over a month.
Actually they did in essence wait for the last PTAB review to be concluded. As you said yourself the Arris appeal is not accepted yet, it's awaiting a decision whether or not their year late request for another appeal on things that have already been reviewed will be accepted or not. So yes they did wait until the final PTAB review was concluded to come out and file for an extension if ofcourse thats what the new pacer report is in reference too. Arris could very possibly and should rightfully be denied review.
Why would the cable companies request an extension unless if they've realized they exhausted all options to get out of paying up? Obviously they realize that Cisco failed horribly at getting the patents denied and now they have to scramble to find anything possible to get some momentum in their favor. Funny they wait until this last "mixed results" PTAB review to file for an extension. Sooner or later they will realize its time to pay up.
Very good analysis, however due to the PTAB being very relevant in court for prior cases I feel good about them staying relevant going forward as the statistics of court cases siding with them are heavily in our favor at the moment.
BTW, as I stated before, Hi_Lo where are you? We are up almost 30% today. On substantial volume, yesterday you were right on queue to tell us how terrible this stock is because we were down 15% on 67k shares lmao typical of you.
This is my baby on the market so ofcourse i'll follow it everyday even though a lot of days its quiet here and the ticker is ultra quiet.
Interesting activity here today. Someone is accumulating at .0025. Someone waited for the bid to build up and sold into .0025. Nice bid support at .0020. Highest bid order i've seen in awhile.
And then we have the clowns who hop on the opportunity as soon as they can to sell $13.20 worth of shares into the .0015 lol. You spent a trading fee to sell for $13.20 sounds really legit. Atleast make it look real. Hoping that it will scare weak shareholders into selling into their bids. Too entertaining
Ouch the price dropped on a 67k shares sale at .0021 lol you such a clown it's so funny to watch your comments on this board and they never get deleted. You offer no insight on anything. The float is obviously locked as 77k shares were sold in the past 2 days. There is obviously no buyers at the moment because we are waiting on the Arris filing to come out. If its a patent troll scam why wouldn't they have finished up selling this thing down to the trips and scooped up tons more money. Like I always say you show up on the red days with no volume but let's see if you show up and say anything about it being green on a day this week thats it's green. Guranteed that wont happen lol. Your short sponsors are going to get crushed one of these days and that might be almost as sweet as my big fat green bank account to know your crying like a baby behind your computer screen watching us all swim in our gain.
Yes cisco is essentially being sued in this case it's just they won't be immediately responsible for damages as the cable companies will be. Also it is very clear they understand they are liable big time because otherwise why would they be the main force driving a case against UOIP. They have been involved in almost every attempt to make UOIP's patents be thrown in the trash. And they never made any progress. CISCO knows they are in trouble with this one, they are just searching for the most favorable outcome for them at this point.
That's what I was referring to, however I was very vague. Cisco would be liable if the cisco 13 lost this case and paid damages to UOIP. The cisco 13 would target Cisco for selling them products that they did not hold patents on. And being the damages paid will be on knowingly infringed basis it will be very very hefty. I mean we all know anything can happen in court. But lets be honest this is a very strong case we have here. Anyone who has read and followed the trail of information and court documents knows how strong this case is. There is risk in any investment. But the sheer size of financial gains that are possible here outweigh any risk in my opinion. $1000 dollars invested at these levels could net you $10s of thousands very easily and could potentially be $100k+ in very favorable situations. More then likely this won't make it to court because as the date gets closer, Cisco will realize its time to fork out the cash and buy the patent to continue business with their customers (Cisco 13) and continue charging for the technology going forward. Otherwise they lose out on a very important income stream and will be liable for potentially over a billion dollars anyways. As i've stated in many prior posts, the reason this trades so low is because there is very very low buyer awareness. We all got here because we saw it on the break out board the couple times it was there and read up on the board and looked into the case. Cisco and all the media will never cover this because its a bad rap for them and their shareholders, and UOIP could care less if anyone shares in their spoils of court war.
Not to mention if this goes to court and the cisco 13 are to pay big damages, now cisco might have to go to court and pay up a settlement. Also cisco doesn't want to piss off their customers. Buyout makes most sense for all parties. Carter isn't in this to be charging royalties as an ongoing business, he wants the lump sum to go on to his next big gig.
Well to be honest with you, while I don't ever like to see my brokerage account red (especially considering I have a sizable investment in UOIP), I don't mind it staying around the price its at for now. Gives me more time to funnel money into it as I get available funds. The only thing that matters to me is building my position until the end game comes when its a buyout or settlement or going to court. Other then that idc about the fluctuation and volatility because i'm not flipping simply for the fact I don't want to get caught without shares when it goes down considering i've put a lot of time and money into this and following it day by day so i'm fine waiting rather than getting unlucky and be caught without shares when we make our huge gains.
