I haven't been tracking this one in awhile, I do still have it on my watch list.
Pretty much the same for me..plus I have a reasonably low CRON average which helps keep me sane.
As the inevitable U.S. recreational cannabis legalization gets closer and closer, (we all know its coming at some point). I think about the 2 year plus advantage a lot of these Canadian Cannabis companies have had and virtually pissed away. I think every conceivable mistake has been made, from over production to pathetic government regulation and oversight, to gross mismanagement of assets and inventory.
I firmly believe that once recreational is legal in the states and the U.S Cannabis companies come online, there will only be a few survivors left in Canada, probably those with the deep pockets like CRON and Canopy.
The other thing that amazes me about these Canadian Companies is how much their CEO's and staff are drawing in salary. These companies are burning through millions per quarter in losses, looking at the CEO salary you would think they are fortune 500 companies.
I breezed through the transcript and only found dilution mentioned once. I might be over reacting, but to me it is the 800 pound gorilla in the room.
Is this listed on the nasdaq yet? I thought that was the whole purpose of the R/S?
Good find.
SKX acting quite strange of late.
Their products are pretty good. Its the share price that's not, due to the Ford Family. Take a look at their historical share price, it is lower than it was 10 years ago. Maybe if they get kicked out of the DOW 30 they will sell, otherwise I dont see this going anywhere in the foreseeable future. As the long term dividend holders are aware, that has gone away, so why would anyone hold?
There is no way this should be less than GM. F should be a 40 to 50 dollar stock.
Concur, these 2 companies are going in opposite directions, the only way APHA should consider merging with ACB is if ACB makes HUGE concessions. I dont think ACB will, they would rather go down with the ship. I dont own either, but Im looking at APHA.
I feel your pain bro, Ive been right there also. One thing that keeps me somewhat encouraged is that a have a reasonably low average.
Thats probably a HUGE stretch.
The Lord Jones/Red Wood Deal comes to mind:

I dont see this ticker posted on the NASDAQ, please don't say it takes time. They had plenty of time to get their sh1t together. Request advise????
Article mainly about Altria (MO), however CRON mentioned prominently and positively:

Wouldn't it be fantastic if we had a mildly optimistic earnings call in August? With real projections and goals prior to the ginkgo Sep 2021 projections. Nowadays, the only updates are at ER time, not sure why?
I plan on engaging CRON IR...Ive only tried once before and didn't get a response. Anyone successfully engaged IR before? I just think this format was never designed as advertised, with share holders asking questions, rather it was a rubber stamp for company actions. Also who are Eric Klein and Georgia Godfrey ???? They are only announced as share holders. What makes them special??? One could say that the share holders were there to validate the voted on items and thats ok, what about a valid q and a with share holders?
If we dont get other people than me, one person involved. , we might be screwed. Please take an interest in your investment and start asking questions.
I guess there were no questions, this is from the original PR:
"Registered shareholders and duly appointed proxyholders will have an equal opportunity to participate in the 2020 Annual and Special Meeting online regardless of their geographic location, including a chance to ask questions and vote."
I know I have questions, especially why they are handing out restricted shares like candy to the company officers, while this stock is in penny land. ??
I cant find/load the part of the meeting where share holders asked questions, all I can find is the 8K with voting results etc...do you have that part where shareholders are involved in questions?
Good info I guess..you do realize this is the CRON board..right?
Anyone plan on dialing into the share holder meeting on June 25th? I plan to but I may have to catch the replay. I think it will be awesome, and perhaps a time to get our long awaited questions answered.
Ive followed this turd in the background for many years, even invested at one point and got out on a run up. If their technology was that good, they wouldn't need an R/S.
Here is your feel good statement from the PR, to make you happy:
"each shareholder will hold the same percentage of common shares outstanding immediately after the Consolidation as such shareholder held immediately prior to the Consolidation".
I guarantee this will be trading lower by the effective date, whenever that is.
Gotta love Motley Fool, they will post articles in same day for/against a stock, without understanding the business model. They continually jab CRON for not growing/selling more pot than other Canadian cannabis companies. A few of their posters get it and do their research, most just look at who is growing the most pot. Its like the rest of the media, shallow and false.
I think you know the answer.
This may have been posted before, but it has a current date:
https://www.fool.com/investing/2020/06/14/2-cannabis-stocks-that-should-survive-the-covid-19.aspx?source=eptyholnk0000202&utm_source=yahoo-host&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=article&yptr=yahoo
I would wait a year to invest in DKNG, maybe covid will be over.
My average is significantly down also. I guess one thing I question is when the markets are up, cannabis stocks are generally down or have minimal gains. When the market tanks, cannabis tanks much harder. I guess it is a growing pain, I will be glad when it is over.
