The one thing that I STILL have not been able to figure out is this: WHY on earth did the insiders buy in at $1.75 (the price then - now equal to $17.50 per share) IF they were not sitting on good news to be released in the future?
I mean ... were they just as dumb as the rest of us and just bought based on nothing but "Hope"?
I really can't see them willing throwing away millions of dollars of investment just to "keep the price propped up" or some other nefarious reason.
and I think most of us would like to punch back.
Yep, totally agree
sad but true
Question: which Simon & Garfunkel song does MRKR remind you of?
Don't try to compete with the day traders who push 1 to 2 million shares volume. By next week, like flies and maggots, they will move on to the next smelly object.
Volume: 1,508,670 Day Range: $1.09 - $1.59 pump and dump day traders.
A pretty accurate call on short sellers amounts:
On Sunday, March 26, 2023, post # 33217 the following:
"on Feb 28 there were 65,000 shares shorted, on March 15 there were 90,000. By the end of this month (March), based on the current low price, 60,000 or 70,000 of those should have bought to cover by now. You always have some sticking and hoping it goes down to 10 cents but most take a good profit over a short time period when they can get it."
On 3-31 there were ONLY 9005 shares shorted. 80,000+ shares were bought and covered.
SOOOOOOOO, I don't think the upward movement for the last couple of days were shorts covering AT ALL.
NOW, be prepared, if it goes back up to $1.50+, SOME of the shorts Will come back and try to drive it back down, but MOST of those who were short did so because they knew 90+% of the time after a reverse split, it keeps going down.
They were not shorting MARKER per se, they were shorting a random stock that just did an reverse split.
Hope we can keep climbing and we can hold well above $1.
Then it is just back to what we have been doing for years ... waiting for the good data news .... and waiting .... and waiting.
Does that sound like Bio-techne will be getting a brand new cGMP manufacturing facility in Houston really cheap in the future? Will it just work out like that or was it part of a plan that Mr. Wilson set up for the benefit of his own deal? Why aren't insiders buying here at these low levels? Why am I asking all these question that have no effect on the outcome of what will or will not happen?
It's kind of funny how those of us that have been invested for many years and have lost a new Cadillac to a new Ferrari on it seem to be bothered less than the person who didn't invest anything but constantly squawks about it .... mostly saying unsubstantiated gibberish.
Thank You, Defense rests it's case!
My question was not ... give examples of when "management's governance and fiduciary duty to shareholders was exemplary" because that was not the statement you made that I addressed. My question was, as YOU said, give examples of when "management addressed shareholders properly, took pay cuts, and bought more on the open market down here."
So AGAIN, if you are going to make statements that do not happen in reality, then give examples of when Small Biotech company managements TOOK PAY CUTS because their stock price went down to show that they "addressed shareholders properly".
Yes, that would be nice, but we live in the real world. Can you give examples our which companies have done that in the past?
Almost a full day, less than 25,000 share volume, and that less than $20,000 moved the price up 11%. That doesn't sound like everybody is itching to sell. If there were a ton of shares for sale, 20 grand would move it maybe 1%, not 11%. I Think.
Ok, that's why I'm a Mets fan. Blue from the Brooklyn Dodgers and Orange from the NY Giants (the traitors who flew to Cali).
Also Long Island, from Holbrook before there was a Long Island Expressway and Levitt houses. It was chicken farms. Unbelieveable the change to L.I. since the end of WWII.
I am going to die with the Mets just like I am going to die with Marker.
Ha Ha Ha , I knew that was coming. Have a great day. Still can't believe Atlanta came back to take it last year.
You know what's funny thinking back on it. All of the questions that I had asked on this board many times over the years ...
I was able to see clear enough to ask the questions, but not able to let that clarity effect my decisions on MRKR stock.
Questions like:
Why is MRKR paying money to have "push the stock / pump and dump" videos made for them?
If the therapy was so promising, why aren't doctors and patients beating a path to the door?
Why is it taking so long to get patients enrolled in the trials?
Why aren't we presenting at ASCO?
If the therapy was so promising, why aren't big pharma companies paying to do joint trials with us?
If the therapy was so promising, why aren't there any big pharma offers to buy the company?
I'm kinda thinking that those questions may be why we went from $8.00 post merger to a split adjusted $0.08.
Oh well, we shall see, only time will tell, but in the end, it is what it is.
Somebody may have known something, but it wasn't me.
I'm just hoping the Mets win the NL east.
Yep, definately No Peter. Let's see now, if I ride for free instead of paying 10 dollars a ticket, and if the ride lasted for an hour, after 17,000 hours I'd be even. Hell, that's only 708 days straight 24/7. I can do that.
With a market cap that is so low, there may be a better and quicker way for Marker to make money.
Sell all the equipment at the cGMP manufacturing facility in Houston and turn it into one giant multi level indoor go kart track.
Well, we finally found out how to value our very positives.
The value of having No Cytokine Release Syndrome ... which CAR-T Does Have and has killed patients ... Value = ZERO.
The value of having free and beneficial Epitope Spreading ... Value = ZERO.
The value of having PH as CEO ... Value = ZERO ... Oh Wait, that was never a positive.
on Feb 28 there were 65,000 shares shorted, on March 15 there were 90,000. By the end of this month, based on the current low price, 60,000 or 70,000 of those should have bought to cover by now. You always have some sticking and hoping it goes down to 10 cents but most take a good profit over a short time period when they can get it. After all the dust settles about a month from now, I don't think it will be in 80 cent range.
Either under 50 cents or regains and holds above a dollar. As to which, I haven't got a clue. As Mr. Lennon said, I'm just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round.
Hello, Hope you and yours have been well. The Recap. We went down to about 25 cents, did a reverse split back to about 2.50, went below 2, went below 1.50, and here we are at under 1 again.
CFO left the company, CMO left the company, CEO still sucks, other than that, everythings been just great.
Hope you have a great 2023.
Look at the bright side. You didn't lose 170k investing in MRKR. You donated 170k trying to cure cancer. I can live with that.
on feb 28 there were 65,000 shares shorted
So let me get this straight. It took several years, Many Millions in salaries, millions more in perks .................
just for one person to come up with the idea of adding a fifth antigen to the mix?
Sounded reasonable back on 5/27/22

This is all setting up great:
First, do a reverse split, after which THAT stock price will continue to slowly drift downward.
Second, do a dilution offering at an even LOWER price, which will, of course cause the stock price to go down even further.
Third, invest another ............. more and keep hoping.
2 Questions. There were 350,000 shares bought yesterday, Who bought them? and Why?
VERY WELL SAID
99 cents here we come. Time to set up another Board meeting to discuss a possible 1 for 10 reverse split. At least then we will have less than 1 million shares outstanding. WOO HOO!
Curious as to the opinions of Phantom and ThanksforyourInsights at this stage in the game on company funds and outlook.
You know how it works. You can't sell a share unless somebody buys it. Lots of people selling shares, which means somebody is buying all those shares.
Why would they do that? After all the bad news? A real headscratcher it is!
Yep, my order filled at $1.11. NEXT STOP?
Company officers jumping ship. AML active done for. AML adjuvant nothing stellar, MRD+'s, no MRD-'s. lymphoma and pancreatic years and years away. So tell me, why am I buying again? HooRah MRKR - Great Job so far.
Ahh, the good old days. I remember when 4 years ago ...:

OPINIONS PLEASE - I just saw MRKR videos upsetting to me.
WHY is Marker paying a (hype the junk company) like RedChip to do hype videos for them?
Now, everybody here knows I am all for more exposure and even encouraged it on message boards and blogs, but I get an instant bad feeling in my stomach when I see a company paying hype firms and doing hype videos.
90% of the time, companies using hype firms are garbage (that's why they are using hype firms), and it just feels bad to me.
I mean, if you are a reflection of the company you keep, then why are we hanging out with a hyper like RedChip?
Will it hit $1.11 before end of today? If not, it should either after market or in the morning as more casual investors see the large price drop.
We shall see.
Then ... when they do another 1 for 10 RS ... I might be able to buy a real good pizza and still have change left over for an Italian ice.
Nothing like throwing good money after bad.
Yep, I'm nuts, just put in an order for just a wee bit lower price than the current 1.18.
BYE CFO - BYE CMO - the last couple of years has been like death by 1000 cuts.
You almost feel like saying ... just get it over with and just give us the bad news already.
It seems like everybody knows it already except for us.
I Never expected "good" news from the "active" AML trial, but now the adjuvant AML trial is feeling more iffy to me.
Consolidate around 2.10 for a while ... consolidate around 1.80 for a while ... next stop ... the little train is a tryin ... choo choo
Just put my order in for next week.
Let's see if it gets down to my price.
A question WAS ASKED. "Why'd they reverse split then?"
An answer WAS GIVEN. "To keep from being delisted by Nasday, it's obvious."
Your Response. "WRONG!"
FIRST, using logical thought processes, EXPLAIN why EXACTLY the answer is WRONG, when everybody has been discussing here for almost 2 years now that they would have to do a reverse split to stay above $1 a share.
THEN, I must ask, WHY do you include "At this point with no news it's right back to under $1. Whether $7 million or $17M there's basically no market cap now by any biotech measure."
NONE of that has anything to do with the asked question and given answer.
What is it's relevance to the question and answer? NONE.
So why use it as some twisted attempt to prove a point that is obviously incorrect?
Just to continue to be antagonistic for some needed reason?
