loof...
uhhh
might want to check the equipment...
(fingers crossed)
japan has extraordinarily different laws and cultural forces at work...it's not a scientifically valid comparison.
just like how the normal wall street rules don't apply to pphm...
jake... i am prepared.
not as many risky assumptions are being made in wall street big bank boilers rooms as had been happening for 50 years. some of that reduction is over legislation, but most is over risk management models having been adjusted, including mine. my butt is only hanging out on this board.
i'm feeling much better, however, about the ability of 'the system' to adapt before it allows another crash approaching the severity of the last one..
hedge funds can mess up the works considerably, but the big boys still dwarf them and will be able to minimize the damage they will no doubt cause at some point.
of course, terrorists and asteroids cancel it all out :)
let's just take a deep breath, hold on tight, and see if PPHM is the real deal. we'll know that before the financial systems crashes again, i suspect. if pphm will just make me happy after 14 years, then i'll make space in my brain to worry about the next crash.
goat...
the Fed isn't really to government. it's closer to being the carlyle group, goldman, the origianal jp morgan, rothschild, etc.
y'know...The Family!
jake...
runnning the federal budget is NOT the same as running a household budget.
my house can't print money.
the US economy remains without comparison on the planet, and we are fiscally sound, largely because the debt will be repaid with cheaper dollars in the future. that's why the Fed wants higher inflation.
much like Peregrine is not particularly worried about dilution. the future makes current share prices less important for those who are loaded up before the move.
sure wish we'd go up to about 3 bucks today.
piper is a reputable firm. everybody knows it.
they are focusing on the science, not 'management'.

Dew
and while somebody decided to beat the dead horse and make this thread about pphm management, the board is supposed to be about Biotech 'Values".
i would appreciate it if the credentialed scientists here would spend their effort criticizing the recent science around the antibody rather than on reinterating broadsides against the management.
management is still there, investors of one kind or another still invest, shorts still make their money...it's all good...
remember that the ceo is a scientist who worked closely with the guy who noticed the PS connection. he may be a lousy ceo, but that doesn't mean he's wrong about where the science might go.
in watergate, it was 'follow the money'
here, it needs to be 'follow the science' rather than 'follow the management from years ago'.
some people will look like fools in about a year. which group will it be? the arrogant ones or the ..rose-colored-glasses bunch?
this could make a good betting pool.
rev monster
on behalf of most posters here, thank you for defending pphm/us vs. that poster.
WE can trash pphm now and then, but THOSE PEOPLE can't.
go pphm.
Dew...
i have certainly wondered about management over too many years, as have countless pphm hopium addicts, but that's become less of a concern since they survived the Fargo 'switching' and, somehow, moved forward with numerous discoveries in the clinics when so many, including me, thought we heard the fat lady screaming. if skeptics here actually review what has been documented since late 2012's issue, opinions might moderate.
Dew...
So what, if it has finally been identified as truly being in that neighborhood? I couldn't care less what they call it if it has a positive impact on fighting disease when used in combination with other agents, do you?
iwfal..
considering the third party in the messy P2 trial acknowledged that one of their employees switched placebo and drug doses, as is on record in the ongoing lawsuit filings, give the clinical tirals critique a rest.
as far as the immuno claims about pphm's compound, if the science backs it up, why is it laughable? PPHM acknowledged years ago they didn't fully understand the MOA, and now they do. they were being intellectually honest, which some here are not.
for a bunch of so-called experts here, it seems poking fun at your favorite targets trumps discussing current verified clinical discoveries.
grt...
is that witty post a result of seeing the post DD referred to, or is it after reviewing what PPHM calls science and you, therefore, call poppycock?
bio...he'd make the target higher if he KNEW it was a sure thing.
If it gets to or near $3.50, he'll raise it substantially....
bio... my point is simply that the share price target is directly related to the market cap. i suspect mlv's market cap target did not change!
bio---it's probably because of the effect of the dilution since they targeted $3.50. without the subsequent dilution, the target would now be 4-4.25
does anybody see any revised analyst notes yet from mlv, roth, piper, etc.?
while there are certainly posters on the pphm board who make you scratch your head, peregrine's quarterly call/update yesterday warrants a look. they may not be impostors after all.
long...
first time in a long time...i think it might not be 2 or 3 more years....
reading between lines...share price could take off any day.
and I am no pumper.
i think the PR is very different from what I've become used to...
their confidence is striking.
i hope the FDA/FBI/somebody is monitoring the blind p3 for us. Is that allowed? under the circumstances, that question needs some answers.
Lovin' today's pre-earnings call run-up!
fish
how about telling us something we don't know
the thought of having to wait till december 2016 makes me cringe after all this time.
still haven't had any partnership updates... that could offset dilution news and at least keep the share price from sinking any more...and maybe rising into 2016.
oh, that hopium...i need a fix.
last week's move was not about the article, was not about catalysts...it was about 'let's do it again!', followed by high-fives today.
but people here fell for it again!
(that's 47 times now)
just a toy for pros
next will be our year?
i cannot for the life of me figure out why some here think there will be positive share-price-moving news coming out of a Roth conference.
that would not only be a first for pphm...it would be a first for ANYBODY
imo, it ain't gonna happen today.
as far as today's move downward is concerned, it doesn't need any more explanation than last week's move up. it's mostly because people love to play with this stock in the long and boring dead money periods.
notbob...
we've lost mgoodman...
Couch..
it's not really surprising. it's sad.
we should have been around the $5.39 (before subsequent dilution) number from September 2012 in the first place.
we rightfully deserve to be in the high $3s now, or better, if our BOD & Garnick have been sincere/truthful with us since the debacle, without regard for safe harbor statements.
this move is peanuts.
would love to know what has already been removed from her file...
i'm sure there are a few guys sitting around a table laughing at us again.
tampa...
with all due respect...
didn't we just have lower highs and lower lows with no news for several months?
i wouldn't read much in to this move if I were you.
let's not discount our PRs about curing mice, or intriguing results in models of tumors. we probably have a few more of those on the shelf we could release.
1.25. 'they' must still be trying to get me to sell.
couch...because there isn't a chance in hell they'll add anybody without it being a condition of a large infusion from a respected source. it's a moot point.
i believe our stock price is directly attributable to wall street's dislike of our BOD. the share price will not make a big move unless wall street pros have no choice, and that can only happen with a large cash infusion from a respected source or validation through sunrise.
interesting that BMY just paid for a collaboration, but we do ours for free
both sides will appeal a future judgement for the other side. this won't be put to rest for years.
this is a sideshow.
is there a more reliable daytrader's stock in the universe?
pphm has NO chance of collecting a billion. they will be fortunate to get anything.
just a matter of how arrogant they are about diluting before they finally crawl on their bellies to a white knight...
