Here are just some of the wishy-washy words that the Douchebag CEO used in today's PR in order to allow him to exagerrate reality:
- "planned commercial expansion" - notice it says it is planned, and we all know how plans have failed over and over again for over a decade with this company
- "probable blueprint" - notice that the blueprint is not a definitive blueprint, and that it is likely to change, which will cause delay after delay, just like it has over the past decade and a half
- "plans to lay the groundwork" - once again, planning is not executing
- "we’re eager to finalize our agreements" - many people are "eager" to win the lottery - it is a meaningless saying
This is all just meant to kick the can down the road (as has been done the past decade and a half) until the Douchebag CEO will finally reveal another toxic financing deal that will massively dilute the share price. And during that entire time, he will keep stuffing hard-earned shareholder's money into his greedy little pockets.
<< Today's PR is another piece of the KBLB growth foundation. >>
Your record shows that your advice is pretty much worthless.
<< go back and read your comments for 5 years >>
I invite anyone to go back through the years and read my posts. What they will see is that I have been consistently correct about almost everything.
<< Kim doesn't release news or anticipation of things to come unless much of the momentum has taken him to that point in time. >>
That is absolute BS.
The Douchebag continually releases fluff PRs to pump up the share price.
For those who don't know, just go back 5 or 10 years on the KBLB website and you will see that nothing of significance has ever come true for KBLB. They announce partners, but nothing ever comes of it. They sign contracts, but nothing is ever produced.
For example, KBLB had announced back in 2014 (10 years ago) that commercial production was ready for "sale & scale" and that R&D would no longer be required. That was total BS and the Douchebag CEO knew it.
There are plenty more examples over the last decade and a half.
<< you would never have known they were going there >>
Nobody cares who is traveling somewhere, or how someone takes their coffee (or tea).
Shreholders want commercial production.
They don't care about anything else.
All of this other BS is just fluff to pump up the share price, and that never ends well.

<< I would not consider Bolt to be a competitor to KBLB. >>
Well, it doesn't matter what you think, because the Douchebag CEO does think that they are competition and says so pretty much every opportunity that he gets.
<< Let’s say KBLB was preparing to go $600M in debt after having pivoted away from spider silk pursuits in a desperate attempt to recoup investor money and lure in new ones. How excited would those here trying to promote others be if KBLB was in the same position? >>
First, KBLB has done the same exact thing. The rah rah pumpers were pumping silk that was "military grade" for years during the timeframe when KBLB was failing to deliver on their contract to the Army. During that time, Bolt Threads entered the fashion world and announced a tie (and later a beanie), and those same rah rah pumpers belittled the products.
But years later, when KBLB went the same route - they pivoting away from "military grade" silk and then (supposedly) entered into the fashion world (which everyone is still waiting for). KBLB first announced a deal with Polartec (which hasn't been heard from in years), and then a deal with MtheMovement (which will be over within the next year). Now that KBLB is in the fashion industry, the rah rah pumpers act like it is the greatest thing since the invention of tha automobile.
Second, Bolt Threads still has a "spider" silk in their product pipeline, it is called Microsilk. Anyone can see it on their website:
https://boltthreads.com/technology/microsilk/
Anyone can also see it in their recent Investor Deck (see image below).
But Bolt had to pick a product that they feel is the best candidate for quick sales to grow the company, and they decided to choose B-Silk. Revenue for B-Silk in 2022 was about $350,000. Revenue for 2023 looks to be about $3,000,000, an increase of about 9x. That is fast extremely fast year-over-year growth.
Once they can establish B-Silk properly, they will then move onto their next product (and they have a lot of products in the pipeline).

*****MORE DILUTION COMING "SOON” (UPDATED)*****
This is from KBLB’s most recent SEC S-1/A filing (filed on 22 Nov 2023):
****NEWS: RE-SPUN SILKWORM SILK IS 70% STRONGER THAN SPIDER SILK***
Spiders hold the market for the strongest silks but are too aggressive and territorial to be farmed. The next best alternative involves incorporating spider DNA into silkworms, an expensive and difficult-to-scale process. On October 6 in the journal Matter, scientists at Tianjin University show how the silk naturally produced by silkworms can be made 70% stronger than spider silks by removing a sticky outer layer and manually spinning the silk.
"Our finding reverses the previous perception that silkworm silk cannot compete with spider silks on mechanical performance," says senior author Zhi Lin, a biochemist at Tianjin University.
Historically, silkworm silk has been used in fashion as a source of luxury robes and apparel fitting of royalty, but today, silk-based materials are more likely to be found in biomedicine as a material for stitches and surgical mesh. It's also used for tissue regeneration experiments due to its mechanical properties, biocompatibility, and biodegradability.
The most common way to acquire silk is by farming silkworms. However, these silks are not as durable and are weaker than silk spun by spiders, specifically spider dragline silks which naturally do well under high tension. "Dragline silk is the main structural silk of a spider web. It is also used as a lifeline for a spider to fall from trees," says Lin. Silkworms, on the other hand, use their softer silks for the construction of their cotton-ball-like cocoons during transformation into their moth forms.
While other groups have combined DNA from spiders to make silk, Lin's group wanted to use common silkworms, which are more accessible and easily managed. They were by inspired by the artificial spinning of spider eggcase silk, which is a close relative to silkworm silk and has been shown to do well in the spinning process.
Natural silkworm silk fiber is composed of a core fiber wrapped by silk glue, which interferes with the spinning of the fibers for commercial purposes. To get around this, the researchers boiled silk from the common silkworm Bombyx mori in a bath of chemicals that could dissolve this glue and minimize the degradation of silk proteins. Then, to enhance the silk for spinning, the research team solidified the silk in a bath of metals and sugars.
"Since silkworm silk is very structurally similar to eggcase spider silk, which has previously been demonstrated to do well in a mix of zinc and iron baths, we thought to test this alternative method to avoid hazardous conditions used elsewhere," says Lin. "Sucrose, a form of sugar, may increase the density and viscosity of the coagulation bath, which consequently affects the formation of the fibers."
Once manually spun and drawn, the silks are thinner than the original silkworm silk, reaching nearly the same size as spider silks. Upon observation under a microscope, Lin describes them as "smooth and strong," indicating that the artificial fibers could withstand force.
"We hope that this work opens up a promising way to produce profitable high-performance artificial silks," Lin says.
Financial support was provided by a startup grant from Tianjin University and National Natural Science Foundation of China.

Bolt Threads to Become a Public Company, Growing its Pioneering Biomaterials Platform Through Business Combination With Golden Arrow Merger Corp.
Bolt Threads has entered into a definitive business combination agreement with Golden Arrow Merger Corp. (Nasdaq: GAMC) that values Bolt Threads at $250M
Concurrent financing transactions expected to provide at least $35M of gross proceeds to the company, including fully committed common stock PIPE of up to $28M at $10.00 per share anchored by Bolt Threads’ existing investors – including Baillie Gifford, Temasek, Top Tier, Founders Fund, Formation 8, Foundation Capital, and Golden Arrow Sponsor, LLC
Transaction expected to enable high-volume distribution and adoption of Bolt Threads’ biomaterials in consumer goods, starting with beauty and personal care
BERKELEY, Calif., October 04, 2023--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bolt Threads, Inc. ("Bolt Threads"), a pioneer in sustainable biomaterials for consumer products, announced a definitive agreement for a business combination with Golden Arrow Merger Corp (Nasdaq: GAMC) ("Golden Arrow") that would result in Bolt Threads becoming a public company. Upon closing of the transaction, the combined company will be named "Bolt Projects Holdings, Inc." and is expected to remain listed on Nasdaq under a new ticker symbol "BSLK". Bolt Threads Founder and CEO Dan Widmaier will lead the combined company.
Company Overview
Bolt Threads is a mission-driven biomaterials platform created to enable a better future for people and the planet. It applies biotechnology to innovate new solutions and products to help transform consumer goods. With 13 years of research, testing, and developing innovative materials inspired by natural biodiversity, Bolt Threads aims to replace the status quo of ingredients and processes found in the manufacturing of high-volume consumer goods with sustainable alternatives from nature. ?Bolt Threads’ intellectual property portfolio is anchored by 49 granted patents and 171 pending patent applications.
Bolt Threads’ lead product, b-silk™, is a fully biodegradable, non-toxic, and versatile ingredient for the beauty and personal care industry that benefits consumers, formulators, and the environment. It has been in the market since 2020 and is in products found in Sephora stores throughout the U.S.
The beauty industry relies on silicone elastomers in a vast array of formulations, a synthetic ingredient that leaves biopersistent polymers, including microplastics in the water system and is coming under increased consumer and regulatory pressure. Until Bolt Threads introduced b-silk, there have been few suitable alternatives to date. The proprietary polypeptide in b-silk replaces silicone elastomers in a broad range of formulations while offering added active benefits to skin, hair, and color cosmetics. B-silk’s novel protein polymer is inspired by the same proteins found in spider webs and is biobased and biodegradable. ?
Bolt Threads Investment Highlights
- Up to $4.0B silicone elastomer market within the $20B silicone-based ingredients and the $371B global beauty & personal care markets?
- Differentiated patent-protected product, offering a highly compelling value proposition?
- A deep bench of branded customer relationships, enabling rapid product iteration and commercialization?
- Potential for an attractive financial profile through scale and innovation?
- Numerous growth opportunities for new molecules and materials from nature to meet customer and consumer needs?
- An experienced and multi-faceted leadership team?
"Our mission remains steadfast to develop and provide better solutions for a way better world, and we believe that going public will allow us to grow our biomaterials platform and bring b-silk, among other products, to commercialization faster. Bringing low impact innovative materials to market is increasingly difficult and desperately needed," said Dan Widmaier, Bolt Threads co-founder and chief executive officer. "This is a transformative partnership and deal with Golden Arrow and its sponsor, which incorporates four firms with several decades of experience in capital markets and investing in public and private companies, who are also investing up to $10M, consisting of up to $8M in our PIPE transaction and $2M in an interim bridge financing."
"We were impressed by Bolt Threads’ proprietary technologies and processes that are on the cusp of enabling the company to become a leading platform for sustainable materials development," said Jacob W. Doft, Chairman of the Board at Golden Arrow. "We see a significant investment opportunity in the innovation and commercialization of biomaterials in industries ripe for disruption. We believe Bolt Threads, with its strong brand and reputation with customers, is well positioned to execute on its high growth strategy with market-ready products that will overhaul industries beginning with beauty and personal care."
Transaction Overview
Golden Arrow has agreed to combine with Bolt Threads based on a $346.1M pro forma enterprise valuation.
The transaction is expected to deliver at least $35M of gross proceeds to the company, consisting of an interim bridge financing of up to $6.8M, $5.5M of which was funded in connection with the signing of the business combination agreement and a fully committed common stock PIPE of up to $28.7M that will fund at the consummation of the business combination. The financing is anchored by existing Bolt Threads’ stockholders that include Baillie Gifford, Temasek, Top Tier, Founders Fund, Formation 8, and Foundation Capital, and a total investment of up to $10M from the Golden Arrow sponsor (subject to reduction to the extent certain existing Golden Arrow public stockholders elect not to redeem in connection with the transaction). The transaction has been unanimously approved by the boards of directors of each of Golden Arrow and Bolt Threads and is subject to approval by each party’s respective stockholders and other customary closing conditions. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2024.
Upon completion of the transaction, the combined company is expected to trade on Nasdaq under the name "Bolt Projects Holdings, Inc."
Additional information about the proposed transaction, including a copy of the Business Combination Agreement and an investor presentation, will be provided in one or more current reports on Form 8-K to be filed by Golden Arrow with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (the "SEC") and available at www.sec.gov.
