he sent me that second email after i mentioned i invested in them, i didnt ask him about that at all he just mentioned to resend one and i was like sweet!
There is competition in this market though TOPS is a huge one but it is AWESOME that CAPE is right there next to them.
no kidding.. that right there industry leading standard.. come on people!!!
nice.. in follow up to how good our software really is..
Softscout.com has CAPE ranked second and third in their load planning and optimization software section.
If you pay attention you'll notice that CAPE PACK is actually the number one pallet organizer and optimizing software on their list, even above TOPS pallet organizer.

np.. i posted one earlier where he estimated that 50 packages of Cape software would be in use with their RoboTier product coming 2010.. that is just from toptier alone though, and like he said.. CAPE is considered the US industry leading standard.
Follow up email from Steve Heston, president of TopTier.
TopTier uses RoboTier robot for palletizing solutions and uses CAPE softare.

We are using their product because CAPE is considered the industry leader in the US . TOPS is stronger in Europe . We receive palletizer application information from end users *daily* and CAPE is the format we receive pattern information in the majority of the time.
I know nothing about their stock and was not aware they were publicly traded so do not consider my comments an endorsement. Just the experience at TopTier.
Best of luck with your investment. That is an area of business I have no interest in as running and funding a growing company occupies my efforts.
Best of holiday wishes to you also.

Steve:
Thank you for responding so quickly, it is very much appreciated.
I and many others have recently discovered Cape Systems on the stock exchange and it has greatly intrigued us, especially when a qualified and accredited business such as yours uses their product.
Again, than you for taking time to respond so quickly. Be safe and enjoy your holiday season.
Thanks
Jay
we'll seeee.... we're playing the bounce game right now
I was trying to figure out last night how much a Cape Pack software module costs. Might have to send an email to capesystems for product pricing.
50 packages though, it would be interesting to see how much that cost them ya know?
test..test..I got the email at 11:01 est
Hey guys.. I emailed TopTier last night.
If anyone is wondering they introduced their robot RoboTier in early October at Pack Expo.. they mentioned using Cape so i wanted to see if they still were and if they liked the software..
anywhoo, here's their response..
Jay:
Yes, we are a current user of CAPE. We are an OEM that installs the program
as part of our standard RoboTier product. The palletizer solution we are
offering the market was introduced at PackExpo in early October.
One aspect of RoboTier that elicited the most positive response from
potential end users was the CAPE feature. We are just gearing up production
at this time working through some final engineering issues. Our
expectations are CAPE software usage will exceed 50 packages in 2010 and
grow quickly afterwards as international sales increase.
Thanks,
Steve Heston

I noticed a mention that your RoboTier robot uses CAPE PACK software. I was
wondering if you could confirm that CAPE PACK is still being used by your
company and if so has it performed to your standards?
I understand you are a very busy company and if you cannot take time to
answer a question off topic like this I understand. Thank you in Advance

It would be cool to find a real revenue stream that we could stamp like..'aha!'.. if people are being trained throughout the spring summer and fall.... then someone must be buying the product right??
Why train people unless they need to learn how to use their new software...?
Apparently CAPE just finished up their Regional training seminars for the year, check out this list..

"The event was a huge success. More than 22,700 packaging and processing professionals gathered in Las Vegas to network, demonstrate products and technologies, conduct business, participate in The Conference at PACK EXPO and more. This is the second-largest PACK EXPO Las Vegas since PMMI launched the show in 1995!"
