The figure he shared was 12oz. per ton of carbon shipped. I am not sure how many tons of carbon was shipped to Idaho.

Hi guys,
I had the chance to visit the mine in person and had an outstanding tour of the entire facility at Firstgold Relief mine which took over 3 hours as given by the mine manager; nice man. I saw firsthand the state of the art gold recovery/processing facility just as their website shows.
It hasn’t been made clear previously but Firstgold did not attempt to extract gold from freshly mined material. Instead, the operation re-ground and re-worked a previous leach pile left over from the previous Pegasus mine operation.
According to the mine manager the company decided to re-work the old leach pile while applying for a new mining permit. The fresh ore is believed to be approx 0.025% gold while the leach pile still contains 0.011% gold. The assumption was that by re-working the heap they could extract an additional 50% of the gold remaining ion the pile but unfortunately they were only able to extract between 5-6% of that remaining gold and found that it was not cost effective. That is when they ran out of money and hit the wall. Their banks are not being very nice and of course the Chinese deal fell through.
The manager said that reprocessing the old material is a break even proposition at best (there is a lot of it). He feels that the true value is in the fresh ore in the pits. If they could get up and running again processing the new material then he thinks it would make sense financially. He was not a financial numbers guy so I do not know what their production cost was per ounce.
The COO is looking for investors to be able to jump start the operation.
No production since June, the property just has the manager and maintenance guy doing security.
In just crunching the numbers, the two mining operations (the original and Firstgold) were able to extract approx 59% of the gold from the ore and capture it in carbon as they show in the videos on their web site; sources say that’s a pretty good yield but they think they can improve on that significantly. The carbon collects approx 7 ounces of gold for every ton of carbon. The mine also had intended to purify the gold on-site and had purchased and installed all of the need equipment but later found that the state would not grant a permit for that part of the operation which forced them to send the carbon off-site for refining. It’s not clear if they are going to pursue a future permit for that part of the operation but it’s always possible.
The next court hearing is on April 22, 2010. The lab is currently in operation servicing other local mines by assaying their samples. They have one drilling rig currently doing custom drilling. The manager remains optimistic and has plans for reopening this impressive facility.

I respect your position. My situation, not having to pay any capital gains after one year has helped me be long on CEMJQ. It has been quite a ride and I just may hold till dividends...LOL

It depends on your tax rate is for income. Less than 15% tax rate the capital gain rate is 0%.
