Anyone have a plain language translation for today's warrant news?

Gotin and Dan both posted a news release on Sep 30. The SEVU website has a little extra:
Dear SeaView Investor:
The Company continues to make steady strides in improvement. From a sales standpoint the company is on track toward achieving it's 5th consecutive quarter of comparative sales growth which also translates into the best year in the Company's history. And, we fully expect this trend to continue straight through 2004 and beyond. We recently announced receiving SecureView orders for the entire holiday season from American Manufacturing and Fulfillment, Inc. whose primary customer is Shop At Home Network TV. (Press release attached and below. NOTE: Our vendor agreement with AMF and Shop At Home TV prevent the Company from releasing any press releases via wire services using and/or naming any E.W. Scripps companies and/or affiliates which includes Shop At Home TV.) The orders represent the largest purchase of our SecureView, "camera in a light bulb", by a single customer in the Company's history. It also solidifies our expectation of continued comparative sales growth in our fiscal 4th quarter 2003.
The inventory ordered is expected to support SecureView™ "camera in a light bulb" airings on Shop At Home Network TV through December 2003. Further the Company expects to receive additional forecasts and orders for 2004 airings as well. Shop At Home Network, LLC, a 17-year-old nationally televised home shopping service, sells merchandise through interactive electronic media, primarily including broadcast, cable, and satellite television. Shop At Home currently reaches approximately 47 million full-time cable households and approximately 70 million cable households for some portion of the day through its nearly 500 affiliated television, cable and direct broadcast satellite systems, including DIRECTV (Channel 234) and DISH Network (Channel 224). Mr. Tellbeuscher and SecureView will return to the airwaves later this month once the recently shipped initial orders are available in Shop At Home Network TV inventory. For exact times, you may consult the program guide at the Shop At Home TV website: www.shopathometv.com. While we expect to return to the Home Shopping Network, Shop At Home TV Network dedicates nearly 150 hours per month to merchandising electronics versus as little as 10 hours per month on average at HSN which offers the opportunity to place SecureView in a more frequent rotation schedule at Shop At Home TV which is now happening.

Ask me in a week! (crossing the fingers)
Seaview.com up now?
I went to their website (sptimes.com) and did not see the story. I was going to post it here for everyone. A search of the archives shows one from back in July, but not yesterday?
They had a couple of different cameras displayed and one was not in a lightbulb housing. I assume this one may have been the easy plug in model. There were not signs hanging on the cameras themselves that I remember that stated their different uses. That info might have been in one of their two handouts.
I did not see anything that looked new consumer wise other than the 'regular' camera that was plugged into an electrical outlet. I will try to email my friend to see if he still has the handouts and figure out what they said. Hopefully more info there....
CES from Bob.
I went to the show last Thursday and Friday, the last two days of the show. Most of my time was spent in car audio since the man that sponsored my visit works in that field. We traveled to the south hall on Friday afternoon which was the last day of the show. Now considering that SEVU is a small company, I expected to find if off in the far reaches of the exhibit halls with all of the smaller companies from Asia who are mainly just distributors for the same kind items.
I was surprised walking up stairs to find the booth among many large name brand companies in the home and wireless technology fields. The booth caught my eye pretty quickly with the large yellow sign. It was a smaller simple both that had the Secureview cameras on display. Several were plugged into various TVs and were working. They had the floodlight bulb, the emergency light camera, as well as a regular old camera plugged in for display purposes. Unlike ASIS, I did not see any mention of the parking lot system cameras, but then again this was a consumer show. There were two full color pamphlets handed out as well as some small trinket yellow foam lightbulbs with the company name, telephone number, and that catchy "powerline peace of mind" statement on it. I do not remember what the pamphlets had on them for sure, it was late in MY day after a long night of fun the night before. (Love Vegas!!!) Of the two people I was there with, one was already familiar with the cameras from when I told him about it last January. He has been watching the company and has considered investing. He told me he was suprised by the clarity of the cameras, it was not what he was expecting.
Talked to Mr Bernardich for just a little while. Several people were stopping by asking questions while I was there and I did not want to take him away from his duties. I did not ask about the booth cause I thought it already adequately answered (it was in an area with larger companies.) I told Mr Bernardich that I had heard the first two days had been pretty busy. He corrected me and said they had all had been busy and productive. Now by this time at the show, most vendors seemed very tired after days of getting up early and staying up late. Mr Bernardich seemed energetic and alert, something I hope others noticed too as they stopped by the booth. There were several other employees there that I did not recognize from when I met them at ASIS.
Three things I regret. Would have liked to have spent more time just watching to see what caught most peoples attention and to see what questions they were asking. Also would have liked to seen the other both, RCA, I think or one of the other vendors. Had no time since we were usually in a completely opposite area. Would have also liked to have taken some area pictures to show the simple yet effect booth surrounded by the bigger dogs. Those pictures would have explained much better than I how things were going. Dumbbutt me forgot my camera in the hotel room.
Hopefully SEVU is like my gambling. I lost a bunch my first two nights and bounced back my last eve there. I am still waiting patiently for my last eve here. Everything I see still gives me faith in a promising future.
When Dan and I went to the ASIS show I do not recall them being listed in the big book there either. I wondered then too, but guessed they were a late entry, because they were listed on the registry there at the show. Iamretired's explanation makes sense for both shows.
Good question though. If Broker does not find out before I get there, I will try and ask.
Good deal Broker, glad you are already there! I am sure that he will be in agreement with me that this show is so big that it would be easy to get lost in all the other booths. The show spans three different convention centers, plus. I like the new (?) catch phrase "Powerline Peace of Mind." It ought to stand out pretty well in an ocean of exhibits.
Booths here are probably very expensive and I think not a wise choice as a last ditch effort on the way out to get noticed. Seems too late in the game if the company is hurting as stated. I think, hope, that they have been quietly growing and resetting their stance. Hopefully long deserved good news will be coming out of the show.
I've said before, I do not know much about buisness, but it seems SEVU would only just now start to be seeing fruits from the ASIS show in San Antonio. We'll see.
I was lucky enough meet the big guys and report on SEVU at the Security Show in San Antonio. I am even luckier being able to attend the CES Show in Vegas again this year. That show is B-I-G, as in way HUGE! I think the only show bigger is COMDEX, but I am not possitive. I'll see what I can report, but it most likely will not be until I get back home on the 15th. There should be a lot of exposure.

I think good news is pending after the ASIS show and the commercial trials that are already running out there. I would think though that the company is a little busy with other affairs right now to get a PR out this next week while working their contacts and finalizing their goodbyes to a very important person.
The question was asked at ASIS about a PR coming out soon. George Bernardich politely smiled non-commitedly, I thought, and left it at that. It was hard not to walk away bubbly after seeing the energy Mike Ambler had about the projects. I hope to read that news soon, but I'll understand if it is not as soon as I would like.
A couple of cents from Bob Klett.
How can we go from message 178 to 183 with deletions for bad form? Nice job people. Hope you feel better about yourselves.
Got got off work and what bad news to come home too. Thanks for the call Dan and best wishes to you and yours.
Best wishes also to all those close to Rich and his family. He commented several times over the past few days how good they had been. I find some comfort in that and hope some others might too.
Bob
Supercircuits did have the SecureView camera at the show. The gentleman we talked said mentioned its ease of install and that it was a popular seller from the catalog.
I am glad they are celebrating at SEVU. Hard working employees need a break every once in while, or productivity goes down. Hopefully they are celebrating those connections made at the ASIS show which I would not have been told about. They were able to get a lot of exposure there in a market with a lot of cool toys!
Nope. Did not see any other cameras that sent signals over the power lines at the annual security convention.
Came back from ASIS today and found that the stock had risen. Good!
Was very impressed with the show as a whole and was just getting ready to write about the product we saw and Super Circuits, but Dan already beat me to it.
It was great meeting CEO George Bernardich and COO Mike Ambler. This was the last day of the three day show and everyone was a little tired. Bernardich and Ambler were both very excited about the contacts they had made at the convention and the exposure for SEVU. As Dan stated this was the whose who of security.
Adding to what Dan said, as far as the parking lot system goes the voltage change between diferent commercial systems is as easy as changing a small piece in the powerbox. Real world applications at the Wal-Mart have been good. Target has even found new uses for the product beyond what it was developed for and is testing their idea. That is the neat thing about such a good product people keep finding good uses for it and can adapt because it is cheap and easy to do.
I had some concerns about camera quality after reading some of Francis' comments, but I was amazed at the clarity of the secureview camera. I did not read anything up close like Dan did or worry about seeing in the dark. Thats been mentioned before. What impressed me was the clarity at distance that easily rivals the security cameras I have seen out here in the real world. MORE than adequate for parking lot security!
Money flow is a concern right now of course and some projects are on the back burner for that reason. As I understand it, the commercial applications are a big push now as it is to get the home units made in larger bulk and less expensive to help those sales. (Supercircuits guy said the home secureview camera was a very popular item.) The potential is great on many different fronts and as you know the company is small so it is a lot on their plate.
Most of what I have heard was very exciting. Ambler and Bernardich were great hosts and the backdrop for the booth showed many of the products fot the people dropping by. The working units there helped get the point across and the picture was as good as the wired cameras that were all over the place.
I have no great business expertise and do not know enough about the PP to ask any intelligent questions. As a person who observes all different kinds of people on the street and has been trained to observe body language, I am relieved to find that our CEO and COO are seemingly honest, caring people with a drive to succeed and that SEVU forward. The next few months do not excite me that much. There is a lot of stuff going on that will most likely not show immeadiate results. Six months from now ought to be different. I'll be here.

(attack the spelling if you want. My connection here is too slow to try spell check and it has been a long day already.)
The products are important here. Even with all the other goings on, the products are what brought us here. We get so sidetracked that it is very easy to forget the potential.
Great to hear that talks are going on with the airlines. Getting our foot in the door with the airlines, government, and security professionals is an important part of being recognized. For a small company this has got to be overwhelming at times. Is there anything we can do to help since most of us have a financial interest? I would rather imagine the company would not want outside individual help, but I figure it is worth the offer.
The news said that airlines are 10% of the GNP. Thats a lot more than I ever thought. Anything to get people comfortable again flying again, something as simple as security on an airplane, will do much to keep America strong in most other financial areas.
The hate that comes out of Frank is amazing and pointed in all directions. Kind of hard to tell what is baloney and what is not. He certainly continued posting to others when there were all these supposed time conflicts in his schedule this afternoon.
I like your cowardly tag Frank! Makes me really want to listen to your 'intellectual' tirades that go on and on and on and on and on.....
PS. Thanks Matt for the level head!
Having one, two, or three of these cameras facing down the aisle would be an excellent option. The flight crew would only have to look at the monitor and not worry about zoom or pan like some more expensive systems would like to have them believe. The cameras here sell themselves in simplicity.
Hopefully that simplicity and cost should stand out as companies go beating on doors to get their products in the airplanes (and lets not forget the terminal buildings.)
This makes the ASIS show next week even more interesting!
President Bush on airplane security this morning...
CHICAGO (AP) - President Bush sought to coax Americans back onto airplanes Thursday by putting the federal government in charge of airport security and pledging $500 million to upgrade security features on airplanes in hopes of thwarting future hijackings...
Bush said he would invest in technologies that allow pilots to monitor passenger cabins by video camera....
How is that for news!
Go SEVU!
ASIS on Wed afternoon...
Dan and I are traveling to San Antonio Wed afternoon on the bikes to check out the show. It would be nice to meet other posters there as well (bigbiz) since the show is open to the public. I am very much looking forward to meeting Rich for myself to form my own opinion and also looking at the new products. This should be a good chance to get an informed look at the competition.
I have already been to the main office in Florida this last January before the openhouse. I got to look at some of the facilities and unfortunately did not get to meet the man since I dropped by unannounced while traveling in the area on vacation.
I too will try and get a post out soon after the trip about the products and try to lift the spirits and level of conversation around here. Looking forward to more tech talk...
OK!
(but I am no fool!)
(disregard post)
Send the non-tested camera to me!
I test it, report, and then send it back to you
Exactly,
the lawyers are going to get theirs no matter what.
What matters here most is that (working) products remain the key the future and I BELIEVE in those products. That is why I bought and that is why I feel it is smart to stay in. Yes the company has made mistakes, but so have I. I learned from mine and I am counting on SEVU learning from theirs.
I have agreed with you that investors should be careful and care, obviously. What I do not agree with is that lawsuits or numbers of them are indicative of bad goings on in each instance. If that were the case then I would be a very BAD person when I was sued for 11mil many years back. I was cleared and that suit never should have been brought, but I work for the government and we have deep pockets, hence are a good target for settling claims.
Stupid
Oh no!
We had momentum...
Yes Dan!
Thanks... lets move forward. Go SEVU and thanks for the continuing efforts Team Seaview.
Camera experience - GOOD
Good morning again. I had promised SeaHag this post some time ago, but have found myself too busy lately. I have no previous experience with underwater cameras so I was not too sure what to expect with the cameras we were using with the SMART dive team during Dan's record breaking dive. The team does own (paid for) three cameras that have been used on various missions before this dive.
To be clear we had one new camera pass through our hands, from SEVU, for the weekend that had been used by another group previously as a demo camera. Talk about a good way to get the product out for people to see and become familiar with. Good free publicity.
I worked as a support diver on the three nights that Dan was in the water. We had a submarine theater where people could watch Dan through windows and where we also had televisions set up with two SEVU cameras. The lake is spring feed and is relatively clear to the other lakes around the area. My first impression of the camera is that it did not see as far at night as I would have thought. I guess I thought the IR would cut through the water more. The picture was clear though and you could see what the camera was 'aimed' at. When I dove later I was surprised myself that I could not see as far as I would have thought myself underwater! Big experienced dive team member huh!?! I am used to diving in murky lake water, not the pretty protected spring lake.
Both cameras worked flawlessly during the dive and were on the whole time, before and after the event as well. They seem very well constructed and tougher than I thought they would be. We carried the mini 50 around and got close-ups of the fish and the crowd back through the windows which they really liked.
On the last day I stayed late through the morning until Dan came out of the water. This was my first day dive and experiences with the camera. Having gotten used to the range at night I was more surprised with the quality performance in the water with sunlight overhead. On this last day we had the largest crowds and Dan really hammed it up with the cameras and playing with the children through the windows. As I looked in the windows from the water I could see people huddled around the TV area staring in awe. It was great to be shareholder watching all this and knowing how much the products had assisted us over the weekend. That water was cold and the cameras allowed us to minimize support diver fatigue by keeping them out of the water for longer periods of time.
I still do not know a lot about underwater cameras, but I do know that if the secureview cameras perform as well they will easily rival many surveillance systems already in place in town. Target has some very nice cameras with excellent zoom capabilities in the store and mounted on the front of the building. This Target was recently built and the wiring was already put in place for the existing security system. As great as it is there is no camera coverage out into the parking lot either there or at the Wal-Mart store. The parking lot system would be a great addition to their capabilities and of course the wiring out to those distant locations is key.
I would like to echo those sentiments previously stated that cameras in a parking lot depict activity and generally only show a general description of suspects, not face shots. Many good cases have been made where video fills in the void and helps identify suspects using the various ideas discussed before.
We have some good product going here folks.
Yes I believe that SEVU has done some things wrong, as we all have, but I do not believe that every little lawsuit is positive proof of something wrong. I can lie and allege anything I want and an attorney can evaluate my claim and see gold in them thar hills. Does not have to be factual. This is sorta like thinking that if I share an email with friends at work that I am not committed or worse, run the place.
Now I am an optimist and for stooping down into previously trampled territory I apologize. I will post again here shortly with some facts to repent!
Good morning everyone. It is a pretty day outside in Central Texas!
People with "deep pockets" get sued all the time because attorneys perceive that they will settle and make it worth their while. The deeper the pockets seem, such as government or corporations make the possibility of making money all the better. When an attorney reviews a case against a transient, I'll bet they often advise against the suit since there is no money there.
SEVU might not be a big company, but it is no transient either. While obviously all cases are not based on this principal, I am sure that many are when the attorney takes a percentage of the profits as I understand most do.
In short it is no big deal that these attorneys have reviewed the case. The almighty dollar shines! I just want to caution again that a law suit does not mean that anything has been done wrong. A lawsuit also requires a MUCH lower standard to be won than a criminal case.
Sneaky little positive getting in there with all those PRs! Not a bad thing tho...
And confirming some won some settled....
As I said before probably most frivolous and easier to settle than fight. Maybe not? Lets move forward...
Geez!
I believe things have been steadily going down for a variety of reasons, investor faith obviously a big part of that. There have finally been some possitive advances in delivery that WILL take time to be seen and trust regained. I have time to wait. Thanks to Francis' advice I held back buying many times because I could not afford it at the time. Glad I waited. Ready to load up some more though when it feels right.
Right now the stock is on sale. Thats why only .32 =)
Good afternoon everyone!
I've not posted here in quite some time, but thought it was a good time to come in and say thank you to the Seaview Team for continuing in product development and getting the existing product out. I too work in a job where we get ridiculed a lot and not much thanks, but you go one anyway because it is what is right. I still believe in the product, and maybe that is just too simple of an idea, but it works for me.
I was also sued for eleven million big ones about nine years ago. There were all kind of big words about what I had done and I sounded like a real jerk. Well you can sue for anything and it does not always mean squat. By the way, the lawsuit went away.
Glad to be back. Hope to put some bright stuff on the board from time to time.
T
That would be a big YES! I can't wait to see the company first hand and meet all these intersting people!!!
Trebor
Just the quality of the new website ought to help with the confidence of the new investors or buyers. I always thought the first one looked kind of generic. I sent a pat on the back email to the webmaster. Hopefully he will get some more.
The picture of Rich also surprised me. I had not realized he was so young. Lots of eenergy going on around here!!!
T
Erue, I have no idea about him owning the patents...
But am overjoyed that there is a patent coming for yet another new thing to go along with our other new thing which will add to an already impressive line-up of products (old/new things!?!). Just amazed at what is still coming with Securview enhancements aloneand all the other technology spin-offs.
B!
Over simplified version!!!
