We do occupy a lot of space in Kyrie's head. Celts are just too balanced..... I love the national pundits who kept poo pooing the Celts because the East was supposedly easy compared to the West...... it just doesn't matter. The Celts are deep and focused.
Looks like it's over ........ almost...
My opinion is that it was the Holt news.......
I hope so as well Rosem....... since they snuck that little diddy in the fine print in paragraph 5002 page 2024, it's possible everyone but us AMRN derangement sufferers missed it.
Yes, GO CELTICS !
All I know is for two days now seeing the share price almost back to pre-Holt news is better than a sharp stick in the eye.....barely.
It's not illegal but it very rare...... you are a unicorn. I may be as well but I'm afraid to look as it could be just a dream.
Well FFS, great charting but as you know any AMRN news unless known in advance by the money masses will have to be digested in the technicals. It would appear that Holt resigning was not telegraphed in the technicals. They are not yet reacting to this price action.... the question is will they get back to forecasting your prediction of $ 1.40ish in the near term? I would love to believe that a CEO resigning and a Director of HR leaving or let go is a sign of pending acquisition since you certainly don't need this redundancy but that typically happens after the acquisition. We shall see soon enough.
maybe but it will be one hell of a 3 days for me.
and then.......it is discovered that Scarlet Johanson is trying to reach me to spend a month with her on her private yacht.
Yes, let's hope they take about 70 million shares out of circulation and then announce the buyback was approved
Well Kiwi, your wife should have explained which med is actually better for that patient. It isn't the statin.
That's fine as long as we buy back 100 million shares as a result
Common sense ...... try it sometime. AMRN would be providing an authorized generic for the "high trigs" market....... not for the large CV Risk market...... it's all the other infringing entities that will just pull them along with this AG...... this gives pharmacy's and ins providers cover to offer this AG even though they won't cover V the brand. It's a good business decision at this point in time. They just need to make sure to state that it is Bio equivalent for the high triglycerides indication in a good slime ball way as to get these same CV scripts.
As a business its very difficult to make any profit ( let alone breakeven ) selling V as a branded generic in the US.......... and how would you know this?
Couldn't agree more JRoon..........I believe they still have levers to pull and if they DON'T actually buy back some stock if/when authorized, then I will be a little more concerned because that means they are more concerned about retaining the cash due to business conditions then what we are led to believe.
I look at this way........ they don't have to buy back shares but I want them to at least be approved to buy back the shares...... internally, they know whether or not they can afford to us on hand cash in this way.
Couldn't agree more Capt'n.......... their sacrifices will never be lost on me and anytime I hear someone say they aren't voting (for any reason other than they are not eligible), I remind them of the brave souls that died for my right to vote, so get off their arse and go vote.
Don't read too much into it other than they issued 20 million shares back then and raised $360 million, they can now reduce the number of shares by 3 times that if they so choose and will have netted $310 million. I'll take that even though our current situation is far from optimal......I'd rather have all this cash and no debt than what things would look like had we not sold 20 million shares. But maybe that's just me.
They sold 20 million shares at $18 share to raise capital............. for $50 mil, they can buy back 66.5 million shares at these prices......and could buy back 360 million shares with the money they raised by selling the 20 million shares..... I think it moves the needle.
Let's hope so JRoon...... would be the smartest thing management has done in awhile.
mk, my logic is this....... I know all of the history here since the REDUCE-IT results were published but if I were just now hearing about this company I would see:
- A drug that is derived from fish ( I like that )
- A drug that has years of a proven safety profile
- A drug that reduces Triglycerides and is proven to do so
- A drug that reduces CV risk an additional 30% when combined with a statin. (nothing else does that)
- A drug with patent protection in the US for the CV indication for what, another 8 years?
- A drug that has EU marketing rights and protection until 2039 and is just now, albeit slowly penetrating those markets
- An infringement appeal against Hikma that may turn favorable to us any day now
- More and more publications coming from EU promoting the benefits of IPE
- China is approved for Trig lowering and could be approved for CV reduction (I'd rather have them in the fold than not)
- Ongoing studies and trials for other benefits to taking V
- A healthy cash position and no debt
- A possible share buyback of $50 million worth of shares
- A share price of .70 cents
- So many things have gone against us that something has to break for us
- And it just feels like some big pharma could buy this company with loose change from all the profits they make
So that is why I keep adding to my position, and if I'm reading the tea leaves correctly which is very debatable, I will be able to accelerate my retirement plans...... and if not, I'll be very disappointed in the risk I've taken. But it's a high upside risk at these prices.
What is your logic for selling?
3K for me at the buzzer ........ let's hope that Holt didn't F up the share buyback application.
That may be the sentiment of many on this board depending on how this all plays out. I added more shares...... I have issues.
Zip.........we are already approved for an AG in the US......we just haven't launched one yet....... I agree that they will probably do it next quarter.
If Denner decided to just sell his shares and be done with it, it wouldn't be at these prices. He'd drive the price up with the share BB and a few positive spin press releases first..... but I doubt this is his plan....
At .75 per share, we can buy back 66,666,666 shares..... perfect symbolism for this company....c'mon AMRN, get busy buying.
Another article where the Bhattman weighs in.........
https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/why-shouldnt-drink-dozing-off-003039430.html
maybe but wasn't activity in the US his responsibility to manage? Like securing reimbursement and coverage agreements? Good day to lower your average cost of shares though because this elevator is going down today.

If our government actually cared about this, they would force food producers to clean up what they put in our foods...... they don't care! Many people don't even know what a whole food is. Even this article recommends lean protein and cooking with canola oil...... vicious cycle of make the population sick and treat them with drugs.
Who knows...... maybe he got caught doing something inappropriate like sex with a porn star..... that seems to be going around.
This company is cursed............
Sounds good biofalcon....... if it's as bioavailable to the human body as that from fish, it could be a winner.
Another engineered and processed food additive. No thanks. Canola oil is one of the worst seed oils and cooking with it is not healthy. This one cracks me up....
"Moreover, many consumers prefer functional food to meet their nutritional needs." What is a functional food? Is that a new food group?
Kiwi,
Looks pretty good to me........ but..........
Higher consumption of whole grains, which lowers the risk of cardiovascular disease and diabetes. (Compared to what? Pizza? Twinkies? Is so, I'll accept that.)
Lower intake of added sugars, reducing the risk of obesity and diabetes by preventing insulin spikes. (Ta Da, this is the key right here, the root of all evil including Demensia and Alzheimers )
Higher vegetable consumption, (again, compared to what?) providing more micronutrients and antioxidants that lower cancer risk, Alzheimer's, and cellular aging. (macronutrients and antioxidants are great if they are bio-available) It's not a given with plants, they also don't want to be eaten so they have their own toxins.
Moderate alcohol consumption, particularly red wine, which may reduce mortality, especially from heart disease. (No alcohol is better but also less fun )
Agreed but with that said, I don't put a whole lot of faith in any AHA guidelines....... they get major contributions from big Ag and they are just as culpable for the current state of CVD in the world as anyone...... here's another irony....... if the Mediterranean diet is so good... and it is compared to the standard American junk diet.....somebody tell that to the Greeks who happen to be the Mediterranean
As the Capt'n highlighted in an earlier post
Pricing & Reimbursement in Greece couldn't have come at a better time for CVD patients in Greece. The country leads all of Western Europe in CVD Death Rate (473/100,00) in 2021.
Good to see the Bhattman in the general public...... too bad he didn't mention Vascepa in the bit. The other thing that bothers me about articles like this is that it didn't say anything about what caused the issue with this guy. What supplements was he taking? Issues with Covid vaccines? What were his lipids? The guy is a triathlete so clearly seems to care about his body and keeping fit. Now he's gone vegan? I wish him well but unless they figure out what caused this, going vegan won't change anything and it's not going to help his athletic performance.
Yes, it sure feels like controlled accumulation..... that's my gut feel.
Don't forget the positive news regarding CVD indication approval in mainland China......that's a biggie when it occurs.
