Noticeably absent is any mention of Tracfone. Nothing new in the update that I could see, and I am not really sure why it was released. I could see if they had specific revenue projections for MTNL, but I am not as interested in reading about overall market potential.
My guess is the patent issue will take a year minimum. Patent suits don't move quickly.
Where is TRACFONE???
Extremely interesting filing.
On a positive note, perhaps the patent issue is more of a possibility than I personally believed, and maybe not that far off if the financiers are willing to lend based upon that.
However, that is offset by the fact that Dean is giving away half the proceeds of any patent actions before we even see it (after he and his employees get paid, of course), and for not a lot of money up front. And remember, the attorneys get their cut first. As usual, we shareholders get crumbs, but such is life in OVOE land. Hopefully any patent settlement will be large enough to let us share in some of the rewards, at least PPS wise.

Buybyebuy,
Can't respond as I dont have PM.
Feel free to email me. My username here @ yahoo.
"Shame I don't have my shares"
What are you talking about?? The reason the ask is .045 is because the split took effect, but of course you knew that. While I hate the fact that we saw a R/S, our shares aren't "taken" until Dean starts dilluting again. At this moment we still possess the same percentage of the O/S, and you are trying to imply otherwise.
I think you like to mislead people with some of your other cohorts. The reality is we ARE in a bad situation, but nobody needs the likes of you making out to be worse than it is.
How many shares do you own now?
Well, it appears OVOE is now trading. My Ameritrade account changed in the last few minutes to reflect the correct share count, symbol, and price. Looks like 150,000 traded so far. At least the transition is done. Now it is up to Dean to make good on the deals he has described and pull us out of this tailspin. Those of us who have supported him for years deserve that and more.
Good luck to the longs here. We certainly need it, but we aren't dead yet.
Thanks for sharing the update.
Just as doom and gloom can be contagious in a stock, so can good news and positive momentum. Getting MTNL launched, and getting a signed contract with Telmex could set a whole new course in motion. It's up to Dean to close these deals now. As I said before, if I didn't think it was likely to happen, I would be gone already.
Good luck to all
Morley, no offense, but I'm not laughing. Frankly, it grates on me hearing how low some peoples cost average is, how much money they will make, and most of all, how foolish those of us are who can't average down further.
I have been here a lot longer than you. I started buying 5 and a half years ago, and have averaged down ever since. Every time I have averaged down based upon Dean's forecasts, the PPS has sunk lower. That doesn't make the more recent arrivals smarter than me, only luckier. I bought a whole lot recently at .003, thinking I was getting the deal of a century, and look at where we are now. Of course I wish now I had waited, but so be it.
I would love to pick some more up here, but I have spent all my disposable money buying ONEV at a lot higher cost average. Some of us just plain can't afford to buy any more, and frankly just want Dean to finally deliver on his many promises/predictions. I still think he will be able to, and that is why I am still here. I'd be content with a nickel, but frankly those of us who came on years ago didn't come on for a nickel.
You seem like a nice person, and I don't mean to jump on you, but the nerves of many silent longs are utterly done, and we want results. Hopefully, our wait is almost over.
All the best to you and the other longs.
I agree that it would be worth exploring the patent issue. If the new investors do come on board, and let's say they do kick in a few million dollars, it would be worth throwing 100K toward a patent suit. Any hint of success could cause the PPS to rocket, and Google (or MSFT or whoever is the target) might just settle to make it go away.
JMO
Well, either:
1) Google lawfully got around the patent
2) Google intentionally infringed on the patent or
3) Google is negotiating a buyout/licensing/royalty arrangement for the use of our patented technology.
I doubt it is #3, as I think we would have heard about that by now, but that would obviously be the best case scenario. #1 obviously adds competition to our market, and I don't think ONEV can afford a lengthy and costly patent suit to address #2.
This is why it is so important that Dean makes these deals happen NOW, particularly with the MIDS. Interesting times to say the least.
Very interesting indeed. Server-based voice search. Anyone have any idea how this relates to ONEV's patents? This appears to be direct competition with a very similar technology. Either Google has successfully navigated around Dean's patents, or they should be paying us a boatload of money. I would sure like to hear more from Dean on this. . .
GLTA
The only thing that is VERY CLEAR is that you don't have the courage or conviction to take the CEO up on a very reasonable and accomodating offer to try to address your concerns and accustations. The phone conference is open to anyone who cares to call in, and is very much a public forum. Your desperate desire to maintain complete anonimity shows 1) you lack courage and, more importantly, 2) you recognize your posts, particularly related to your "conversations" with Motorolla representatives, could expose you to significant legal liability.
I hope your little minions are proud that their leader is too afraid to call in and speak with Dean Weber directly. Big tough talker, huh?
I am not the one complaining day and night. You and your buddies are. I have also had direct and candid contact with both ONEV and Cervelle, and am satisfied enough with the answers to my questions to remain invested here. I may call in just to see who of your group actually shows, but I have had the guts to pick up the phone and talk with Dean directly, and you haven't.
I am sure you will be happy to share with the board which questions you ask come Wed.
Why don't you ask Dean, not me?
Yeah, I know, it's a waste of your precious time, and you just don't have a minute to spare in between your posts on a message board.
Just as I thought. . .
Man, you guys are something. You rail on the company and Dean day and night endlessly, and then when he steps up to address the criticism, there is nothing but a whimper from the peanut gallery. SBB hasn't even posted since, and already the excuses start from the rest of you. In my experience, that is pretty typical though. Most so called tough guys go down with a whimper when push comes to shove.
You may not get your questions answered to your satisfaction, but the call gives you the opportunity to tell Dean directly how you feel about his performance in a public forum. That alone should be worth the (toll-free) call given how strongly you all allegedly feel.
There are many legitimately frustrated longs out there, and I am one of them. I still believe we will see a dramatic turnaround here, but that is my opinion. What I do know is that SBB and the rest of you incessant bashers have done nothing to improve our situation, nor have you added anything to the equation that is not already known. SBB should have been banned from Ihub after his Motorolla fabrication. That was far more egregious that the "personal attacks" for which the Ihub Admin so routinely bans people.
To SBB and the rest of you, put up or shut up. If you don't make the call, you are all cowards.
I'm not. Tomorrow would be a good candidate IMO. Fresh quarter, fresh start, fresh funding. That is assuming everything is signed and ready to go, but whatever the case, I feel we will see this happen in October.
I agree with Rock. It is impossible to predict the details of how this will pan out. But if we see the new investors come on (and all signs say we will IMO), then we will see Mexico and probably MTNL shortly thereafter.

Anyone use Ameritrade? Question:
I used to get real-time quotes from the detailed quote page for ONEV. Now I get a delayed quote, with no bid/ask, last trade, or other info. I have to now go down to the order box at the bottom to get a real time quote for ONEV with the bid/ask. The real time works fine for my other stocks. Anyone else experience this? TIA
Cee-it, it's almost irrelevant for us if the MID takes off or flops as a platform. Intel is going to push it until it flies or dies, and if we are part of that push, I couldn't care less what sales are. Watch what happens to the PPS if we get bundled on a two or 3 major OEM's MIDS.
We still haven't traded a share today. Ya think perhaps the toxics are done once and for all?
GLTA
My Ameritrade doesn't even show a bid or ask right now. Very strange indeed.
Interesting read:

"Holiday season
As many as five models of the Intel MIDs will be on store shelves by the holiday season, mostly for navigation or entertainment uses."
That is one possibility. The other possibility is that investors may be more willing to gamble on an unknown entity with huge growth potential (don't forget, any revenue here constitutes growth) than known entities that are going down the toilet right and left. In fact, when Telmex and MTNL launch, I predict investors will be flocking here in droves. The pain in the financial market has just begun, but tech is still relatively healthy.
GLTA
Thanks Rock. Unless you truly believe ONEV is in their final hours, there is really only one conclusion that can be reached, and that is that things are about to get a whole lot better. Given where the O/S count is, we are talking days here, two weeks at most (to coincide with the start of a new quarter), but no longer.
I like the 500 to 1 payout. If you are even close, a lot of us are in pretty good shape. It's been a very long wait, but it will be worth it
GLTA
Yes, I do.
If we see the private investors come on board, then I believe it is a pretty good sign these revenue streams are coming. Investment groups with a lot of money don't get that way by accident or by taking stupid chances. I personally don't believe the private investors would sign on until Telmex was a done deal, so if we see them come on, Telmex is soon to follow IMO
Look how close we are to maxed out on the A/S limit. Yet no shareholders meeting scheduled, no proxy vote, no nothing. And yes, Dean DOES need a vote to increase the A/S. Even if retail holders don't really have any control, we still get a vote, and that isn't happening as of yet.
Add to all of this the prospect of India launching, and a MID in the 4th quarter, and we could see a very dramatic turnaround in the last quarter of this year.
You know, my broker friend scolded me a few years ago for investing in ONEV. Invest in stable, good quality stocks, he said, like the financial sector. A sector which now is in the middle of an absolute meltdown. Some of the biggest financial institutions in the world dissappear over the course of a friggin weekend. I think may be willing to take more of a risk now and throw money into speculative plays like ONEV now that there is no "safe bet."
Now we just need Dean to get the job done, and I think there are real signs that could be happening as we speak.
All JMHO
I see that. I didn't think OTC stocks traded AH or PM. Usually the AH activity is just trades settling from earlier. Anyone shed any light?
Actually, it was at the shareholder meeting a couple of years ago (2005?). Dean stated he believed they wouldn't need more than 300 million shares.
Obviously things didn't go as he predicted. Nothing we can do about it except look toward the future, and IMO, the future looks brighter from here. But to settle this debate he DID say it.
GLTA
Dumo, I would be very surprised if the private investors included Carlos Slim or anyone from Telmex or AM. I just don't see it playing out that way. Can you share more about why you think this? Also, my understanding is that the exec's that make up this group put in their own money, so approval of their respective BODs wouldn't be necessary.
I believe it is more likely that the investors are waiting on Telmex, not the other way around. They may want confirmation of a licensing deal before agreeing to come on board. Then it would be a guaranteed profitable venture for them.
All JMO, and am willing to hear other views on the matter.
Ihub,
It seems like that is a grey area, and in reality, almost all material events discussed in a conference call are pre-announced in a PR or an 8-K. From my (albeit limited) knowledge, it would be highly unusual to make a big contract announcement for the first time in a CC, and would push the envelope regarding the fair disclosure rule. From reading the SEC notes, it sounds like there would be a strong preference for the announcement of the material event, announcement of the conference call, and then a discussion of the event during the conference call. I don't think Dean would want to add an SEC inquiry to his list of worries right now.

Closer to 3 cents, but who's counting. . .

RB=the ONEV message board on Raging Bull. It's where most of us started out until the board was overrun with bashers and lunatics. It looks like the Ihub ONEV board is going the same route. Hopefully we will see some progress with ONEV soon, and some of thes posters will disappear into the night.
GLTA
I believe they are same thing. I don't think they have the 1.5 million yet, or we would have seen a filing (and likely a PR as well). My understanding is that it is imminent.
GLTA
I enjoy your posts, too, and I didn't mean to vent on you. It's just that the current situation is hard to take after being here 5 yrs. Dean has all my discretionary income, so I just have to sit and wait.
I hope you get all the shares you want, and that we both then promptly get rich. If Dean delivers half of what we know about, we should do alright. If not, at least I have about 20 yrs of capital loss write-off. Ha ha.
GLTA
I ain't grinning.
All those shares I bought at a penny to average down, and I am still way down. Sorry, but I have no more cash to put into this, and I am going to choke someone out if I have to hear about another "buying opportunity." Ok, I mean that figuratively, but you get the drift.
Don't get me wrong, it's great that the newbies get to brag about their cost basis (I know you don't fall into that category), but it doesn't do a lot to comfort a 5 year long who has been patient and loyal. For all my patience and 5 years of buying, I still need a 4 bagger to break even. That plain sucks.
Time for Dean to deliver the real deal, plain and simple. He can start by showing us that new financing in an 8k and a PR, and by showing us a significant licensing agreement with Telmex. I've done my part to keep this company afloat, but my back is tired. Let Dean carry us for a change.
GLTA
I agree there's little chance they will be involved with Apple in the near term. I'll be happy if they can make it happen on the MID front.
Right now they need to focus on closing the licensing deal with Telmex, getting the new financing done, and getting MNTL up and running. If those things happen, we will be just fine. If not, it's going to be a long summer.

That is interesting. It would support the theory that someone or some entity is accumulating shares perhaps? It was a tremendous jump, but maybe something positive will come of it. We could use a short term boost while we wait for these deals to come to fruition. . .
