There's video out there with Linton talking about how he would get pitched on technologies, but that he wasn't interested in paying a royalty. He said that Canopy would just figure it out for themselves in house.
When I heard it way back when, it screamed Lexaria. So I'm in agreement with ya.
Saw a few posts Facebook posts today from one of the black market guys, Med-Man Brand, about his new edibles. He talks about fast onset and bypassing the liver with his 'patented' tech. He's definitely not an LP/legal cannabis fan, but seems to be co-opting the lingo. :)
Just sharing to show that if the big boys don't provide, the underground market will just keep going...
FIGR Expands Product Line To Include Vapes
If you go to FIGR's website, you can see the new products, including 510 thread vape carts.

red days reset the RSI stats and buy longer runway. 80% RSI is now just under 30 bucks.
Another day of short volume over 50% today. Patiently waiting for the vortex up.
you gotta tell people what it is. lol . See below...

the JV with NeutriSci was abandoned long ago and replaced with a license agreement. I think NeutriSci moved on to a deal with Nutritional High to develop a product.
In regards to Naturally Splendid, they were one of the early mj tickers. I haven't looked at them in a while, but their dropping price puts them on my watchlist (one level below my garbage list!). :D
Basically agree with all the others... Bunka has to show something positive before anyone cares. In the meantime we all sit and wait.
Does the new Citron report with short-term target of $65 help?

Interesting supplemental info for the "PYXUS" trademark...
Back in 2005, the Alliance One International trademark had the following classes and description listed:
Money flow was positive today. There are a ton of shorts in there and some covered today. A lot more still need to.
I've been buying since February. Biggest holding at moment.
Goldleaf Pharms Inc has received cultivation and oil production licenses from Health Canada today. Sales license is still to follow. However they do have a sales license through sister company FIGR East.
Playing those negative equity OTC penny stock prayers that you spend all day commenting on has made you way too pessimistic.
If someone unloads, buy the dip. Your future life will look brighter. :)
Awesome, I get to pick up more shares. Is that called 'back-loading'?
While we wait, do some reading on the guy running the cannabis division, Bryan Mazur. He only turned Snapple into a global brand before merging it with Keurig.
Only loser companies going to 20 bucks hire those kind of guys who have those kind of connections.

I'm on twitter. Same handle. Find me.
And yes, I've been 'front loading'. I use the word 'accumulation' - is that what you mean? Some of my shares were bought at the max prices in March/Feb that we haven't reached yet in this last run. And I have no intention of selling this 'scam' anytime soon.
Oh, lookie... the master grower from The Green Organic Dutchman left that company to join these guys. What a loser, huh!
Don't burn yourself too badly. :)

The volume speaks to 6 days straight of increasing short volume, without today's numbers out yet. Shorts have no concept of what they are dealing with at the moment. And it will soon be a vortex of shorts selling to other shorts.
Todd Harrison just had an amazing talk where he goes into how 'uneducated' the non-cannabis traders are with this sector and stocks. Give it a listen...
It's a rebrand from AOI (Alliance One International). Check that board for past comments. AOI is now the tobacco division of PYX. The Canadian LPs they own are housed under the brand FIGR. Canada's Island Garden is now FIGR East and Golden Pharm is FIGR Norfolk.
the new price target of $3.50 CAN from Fundamental Research Corp this week may help (they factored in the patent news). I saw people posting about it on the marijuana stock trader group at Facebook.
Forbes article on hemp being more valuable than tobacco.
AOI can probably convert their tobacco farmer network over to hemp (comparable machinery), with much less need of capital investment and time.

I sucked out a ton of money from Lexaria since the start of the year and shifted it mostly to Alliance One International (soon to be Pyxus). In the short term, wasn't so wise, but I'm playing a long game. As I continue to accumulate daily over there, I pray that my dream Lexaria connection comes through:
Lexaria is tight with Hybrid Health out of North Carolina https://www.pr.com/press-release/699904
According that release, the CEO was with North Carolina Industrial Hemp Association (NCIHA) in 2017 (not sure of current status) http://www.ncindhemp.org/
Global tobacco wholesaler and farmer network, AOI is headquartered in North Carolina and getting heavy into hemp and e-liquids. http://www.aointl.com/contact
NC is the hemp hub of North America in my mind.
Hemp is easy to grow but hard on machinery to harvest. Tobacco machinery can handle it though, so the worldwide tobacco farmers can convert quicker and less expensively if needed.
Alliance was down and out a few years back, but has been turning the ship around for those years and seems stable now. They recently hired this guy... https://www.linkedin.com/in/bryan-mazur in advance of their corporate name change, new direction, and new global game plan that has been in works for some time. Still to be released. The resume is awesome and the guy took Snapple from nothing to mega-merger with Keurig.
That's the parlay of my dreams above. Bunka might have other plans. That's cool. I'm happy either way.
The lottery ticket add-on is that Alliance owns licensed producer Canada's Island Garden out of PEI. And they sell their product through Canopy's Tweed Main Street. So Canopy knows about Alliance, deals with Alliance and can afford Alliance.
Please don't consider the above a pump. I love cheap accumulation phases. It helped me collect LXX/LXRP way back when... when no one but a few here 'got it'. :)
works the same as watching the Health Canada site for updates on licenses. They don't care about the market. They just post it... although they eventually learned to wait until Friday evening for updates. I had one of the website ping alerts set way back when to tell me if changes were made to the page. I'm sure there are people that monitor the various patent app pages.
They might not even know yet. :) The notice was just published and according to it, doesn't get mailed to them. They have to log in.
the notice was just published today at... https://bit.ly/2PsY2Hc

the American side traded on Monday and the price went down, while the Canadian market was closed for a holiday. So the Canadian price stayed higher. Today it's just balancing out.
Just saw this message. Sorry for the delay. Was bouncing around Russia most of June/July. :)
Still here. Haven't sold a share, but finding it easier to breathe over the last few days!
Q1 results are out on Thursday morning. Here's hoping the run-up is not a fake out.
To recap the deleted scary stuff, only Bunka, Betty, and Colston hold the warrants that are expiring in August.
If you're betting on them flooding the market with shares, short away.

On a side note, just realized I can't return private message on ihub. Find me on Twitter using the same handle.
It's a normal thing. I was in the stock at those prices when they were being issued.
The options aren't close to expiring. The warrant overhang and your psych meds prescription is where you should focus your trolling.
There are up to 2.3M warrants at 14 cents US expiring by end of August. If you have cash to spare you may be able to pick some off.
Good luck and try and enjoy your summer.
Fountain of info troll guy... when was the last time they issued 16 cent warrants? What was the price at at that time?
CNN discusses pot and sexual desire, quoting Peter Barsoom (Lexaria licensee and consultant)...

WORLD DOMINATION. Coming soon. :)
I'm half bombed. That just proves it. lol
Bill C-65 passes in the Canadian senate! eom
not worried. Also got killed on my AOI today (paper bag on my head for now).
Quick run-ups always screw up the RSI. Volatility is great as long as the trend is up. A down day or two just helps to lengthen the runway.
I enjoyed the *WORLD DOMINATION* line. I'd like to think he borrowed it from me. I've used it a few times in my Lexaria life! :D
Now I need Bunka to save me from a remaining lifetime of regret... because I cashed in a shitload of shares before this run-up... and rolled much of the profits into the incredibly undervalued tobacco/cannabis company AOI. That company releases their year end in the morning with conference call. I'll be looking for any hint of a lottery win connection. They are supposed to be releasing their cannabis vision/plan this summer.
Good luck to all tomorrow!
"just slightly" has been a difficult request to accomodate. :)
In regards to the first part, it all depends on the deal negotiated. And my response here assumes for now that the nicotine patent is NOT completely stand-alone and separate from the other patents. That it is under the umbrella of DehydraTECH as you mentioned.
Lexaria owns their various patents through ViPova (another subsidiary). They took over 100% control some time ago.
If they create another subsidiary (nicotine company), they will probably have some legal language that gives the subsidiary the right to use the nicotine patent owned by Lexaria (through ViPova) for a price. It could be a nominal dollar, or a royalty or whatever... depending on what the end purpose for the subsidiary is (the legal terms can be changed later as well). As long as Lexaria own the subsidiary themselves, it's not a big deal. Just some internal accounting.
Say that a tobacco company now wants to use the nicotine tech. Lexaria can sell them the subsidiary company, which comes with the legal deal that the nicotine company has with Lexaria. So the tobacco company purchases the nicotine company for - I'll change the number - $100M. Depending on the terms of that legal deal, the nicotine company maybe gets patent exclusively for 15 years for the $100M. Or maybe the tobacco company only buys the nicotine company for $5M... but the deal says they owe Lexaria a royalty on sales for the next 15 years.
I'm trying to simplify it, but there are so many possible options, we just have to wait to see.
In regards to "spin out" that is a term for when a company creates a separate company, no longer being controlled by the parent company. It can still have deals with Lexaria but runs on it's own. If you own 5% of Lexaria, you should theoretically get 5% of the new company.
it's just two companies fully owned by Lexaria.
If they sell one of them for lets say 10 bucks (feel free to hope for more), then Lexaria has 10 bucks in the bank. Nothing changes for Lexaria shareholders. If they "spin out" one of the companies... as owners of Lexaria, we would get a proportionate number of shares of that company. So we would own shares in multiple companies.
My guess is they are prepping to sell a subsidiary.
On a side note...
Not sure if you guys noticed the NNW release today https://www.networknewswire.com/lexaria-bioscience-corp-cse-lxx-otcqx-lxrp-expands-patent-portfolio-announces-exercise-of-450000-existing-warrants/.
It gives a little more info on the Nuka consulting deal. Makes perfect sense. 1906 Chocolate is a nice step up from using energy bars to market the tech.
Just saw this one over at Facebook... Hillstreet Beverage Co. CEO discusses Lexaria tech on BNN Bloomberg:
https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/video/alcohol-free-beverage-company-wants-to-make-cannabis-infused-drinks~1408207
Nominal dollar amount and warrants going forward. I can only guess that Lexaria is negotiating with some company and that they can package in a chocolate partner deal that would benefit all sides. Really seems that Bunka and Barsoom are on good terms and if the stock appreciates significantly, Nuka gets some capital. No harm.
My hope is that Lexaria eventually absorbs them, so it all good! :D
