I'll agree with you that % gains are more possible with lower priced STOCKS, then STOCKS at $100 say...

However, this is a 3x ETF, and has nothing to do with anything except the basket of stocks it follows.

You can whatever me all you like, but,

If GDX goes up this will go up 3x, no matter if it is $1, $5, $100, or $1000. There is no less likely chance it won't double now because it is at $100 instead of $10. That is just the plain simple truth.

The spreads are just larger and the $$$$'s are higher, but the percentage stays the same....

That post makes no sense whatsoever...

If GDX goes up 35% from here we will go up 100%+

$5 to $10
$50 to $100
$500 to $1000

or $100 to $200

it will go up 100%

Period.

It makes no difference what the price in dollars are of this ETF.

If anything, it seems to be scaring away people who don't understand the ETF, with a higher price point, from maybe jumping on the train.
