Although I cannot provide you with linkable evidence, I am certain it was July 1998 and am even fairly confident that plympton found it and it was the later half of July.

Weby,
Living within the Zion Curtain we get this argument all the time. "If you don't like it you can leave". Sure that is an option but it is the cowards way out.
Why are people so down on others who want to make something better, improve it? In order to do that, misteps must be identified and corrected. Those unwilling to do so are not responsible investors. Those unwilling to do so are a threat to this investment. Those unwilling to do so weaken my position in this investment. Some of those unwilling to do so would be hypocritcs for calling others greedy.

I believe you know most of this but just so we are all on the same page here is my thinking.
It was my impression finread was backburner material. Many here, myself included had placed bets on wavx in part, due to their substantial investment in both time and money in the european financial community, (finread). It was thought this might have been the first arena to widely adopt some or all of wavx technology on a worthwhile scale.
Having finread compliant tech ready to go is great unless there is no where to go with it. That has been the case and thus the reason for backburner status. I believe with last weeks demos that finread is interested in getting things moving.
Even better I believe this weeks demo in NY is a direct result of someone seeing last weeks demo and wanting more info. This level of interest may mean nothing but I believe the opposite.

One does not need to know the "fine print" in order pass judgement.
I would ask you the inverse of the same question you asked me, how can you not like something if you don't know what it is?

Larry's analysis and this ams news
Larry keep up the good work, I like your ta.
I also happen to really like this ams news. It begs lots of questions.
Who invited wavx to do the demo and why NY?
Why finread here in the good ole Us of a.
Why did they demo last week and who saw it?
Something is brewing on the financial front and I really like it.

I never claimed my observation that MSFT is a threat to wavx as dd so don't put words in my mouth to the contrary. Your and others attempts to mitigate the impact of negative information in this forum and others is telling. You have becomed poisoned by the environment in which you choose to do business and are using foolish tricks to try and make a worthless point. Shame on you. While showing the lesser informed who is boss might make you feel good, it won't make you rich. I used to have more respect for you but have recently witnessed you engaging in petty disputes over trivial issues with nitwits (geeee, I guess this says alot for me huh?).
I do claim this mornings RSA/MSFT announcement is both dd and trespass into waves space.
thats it for today

At this point I consider MSFT the wolf who wants to eat waves lunch. Do you have evidence to the contrary?
zoomer
Agenda, agendas its always somebody with an agenda.
Surely no one believes that MSFT and RSA with myself and a few others included cooked up this pr to manipulate the price of wavx stock. Others would have you believe that this news was brought here by me with the intent to manipulate. Whatever. My long position has been staked out for awhile and I don't short and I aint buyin more so think what you want.
As to cm's argument that its only software. So what if it is? Lets look at this argument both ways, software only and hardware supported. If it is software only, as cm contends, then most here would agree its and inferior solution. Does that mean it won't be used, accepted, or purchased? Inferior solutions gain market share all the time. Just remember, ITS ALL POLITICAL. Take a look at RSA's secure chip portfolio and tell me there is zero possibility that this id management solution cannot be integrated with hardware. The possibility exists and is probable in my opinion.
Doma, as to your assertions, why did wavx buy sign-on-line? For the same reason MSFT and RSA are touting a single sign on solution for id management. Ask Becker if MSFT gets it?
The fact is, and I stated this two years ago, piece by piece, the wavx trust system can be built using components already in the market place owned by the competition. Oids, when presented with this argument always fall back on the TAN which is one of the easiest components to replicate. The trick was getting hardware to the edge. The center will remain in the firm grasp of the big boys. Don't get me wrong, I believe wavx still has an awesome value proposition, but in selling the idea many secrets were exposed and as a consequence being copied.
My opinion is that there are many here who only like positive dd and tend to label anything the competition does as manipulation and scare tactics. Those are the people who will lose the most money when things go wrong.

zoomer
Doma, I am dumbfounded by the complete lack of response to your posting this morning re:prescott. Isn't this exactly what LD told us was happening? Did he not then subsequently get pounded by some members of this forum for "manipulation"? I give big props to LD for telling it like it is. His credibility just cranked a few more notches while the ostriches continue their nonairborne ways.
zoomer
Why do you folks continue to hammer on LD? He went to the IDF and came back with info that the board is delayed. This is not hearsay, as he obtained the info first hand.
At this point his credibility is on the line. If the board is indeed delayed he gets props from me that is for sure. Even if it isn't delayed that doesn't mean that is not what he heard. Assigning him a motive just because he is a TA investor is a leap of (lack of faith).
Remember purefolder? He was hammered for basically the same thing.

It really is a shame his skin was so thin. I kinda liked the guy. After all he made the trip to IDF and reported what he heard. For saying that he heard LaGrandiose was being delayed some zealots here hammered him. Stoning the messenger never solves anything. Remember what happened to the huns in the beginning of Gladiator after they beheaded the Roman messenger? OUCH.

Hi Bob,
As an aggressive investor I have had the opportunity to spend thousands of hours studying the TCG and its previous lives. It occurs to me, after reading your article Meet Big Brother Fritz, that either you have not had the same opportunity or you have come to your conclusions for some other reason. Which ever means little.
How is it that you link TCG with the patriot act round one or two? Where exactly is the connection there? You know of course because you do your research that TCG had its roots in standards bodies formed in the summer of 1998. If these guys envisioned the passage of the patriot act back in 1998 we have the mother of all conspiricies. Do you understand that TPMs are an opt in technology? If so, then how can everything on your computer be subject to scrutiny under the auspices of such? Your article comes across to the informed as a paranoid piece with little research behind it. Next time you yell fire make sure there is one.

Yes, it was my understanding that security would be on the closing adgenda. Evidently I was wrong. That happens alot and now it appears your comments yesterday, although premature in my opinion, were on target. Nothing wrong with a little foresight. We were lead to believe there would be product announcements during idf by none other than SKS. There is still a chance that deals were cemented during idf and we will hear about them shortly but that is not the read I had.
As a coach on must point out errors and methods to correct them. If things don't get fixed the point needs to be made again. You are a good coach.

Lets be perfectly clear as to what is transpiring in the immediate future.
1. Wavx airs dirty laundry in the form of a new 8-k. Some say good some say bad. Never the less, it is out and the price is factored into the stock.
2. Huge trades go off at the end of the day and AH all on the buy side forcing the price up.
3. Tomorrow the closing IDF speaker is Patrick Gelsinger. Why is he the closer? His career at INTC is storybook stuff but he is into peer/peer and security in a big way. He and SKS are on the same page my friends. His closing speech will be interesting to say the least. Here is a speech from almost four years ago.

My whole point, and this will be the last of it unless something new surfaces, is that whether or not we believe there has been over compensation in the past (with SKS carting home a wheelbarrow with almost 2 million in it over the last 12-18 months, the appearance to some is........ well........what it is) there is nothing we can do about that now. And I believe some here who are unwilling to express public sympathy with the premise are the ones most fertile to receive this message.
Therefore, moving forward, we need to be on guard for rich compensation proposals that have an unusual sense of timing or flavor, if you know what I mean. Enough is enough. As to whether or not I have any control, btw I certainly control my own shares as well as others in a number some here might find astonishing, I will vote them as I see fit.
As to those who need a refresher as to which tech companies compensation packages I prefer here are but three. Keep in mind these companies are beyond developement stage and earning real revs that are increasing at good clips. Disclaimer,I own these stocks.

BTW, weby, are you with the current admin in its attempts to sell our national treasures to their cronies for pennies on the dollar and ream the taxpayer at the same time? Either way I wouldn't hold it against you I am just curious.
zoomer
Why is it so hard to admit that management has been overcompensated? They try to justify their salaries with share price charts at the shareholders meeting. What is that all about? I want value, as in revs and market share not creepy little spikes in the share price. I want SUSTAIN. I want TRUST. I want OPENESS. I want INTEGRITY. I want ACCOUNTABILITY. Attacking BFang doesn't make these issues go away it just makes you feel better until you realize the truth. The truth is little stevie needs to grow up and so does his father.
zoomer
Snackman,
What you are saying is the ends justify the means. I am sorry but that is a morally bankrupt way to frame this debate. The common business philosphy that one should pay oneself first has its limits and these guys are way over the top.
I have shown you company after company where the bottom line is in the magnitude of thousands greater than wavx and the top dogs are fairly compensated. In every case the package of salary/stock/options is substantially less than what is served at the wavx trough.
What should happen, since the leaders at wavx have such a large horizon built into the new deal, is that they become tied to it through thick or thin, with little if any increase moving forward. Substantial overcompensation in the past should lead to a bit of frugality in da future. The political reality of that, however, is basically an admittance to just how ugly the feading has been at the phat trough in leemass.
Snackman, I am disappointed, but not surprised by your take of things.

being the net worth of all who short this and other companies stocks who are building true value into our economy. It might be wise for you to seperate the players from the wannabees. Your inability to recognize the players hurts your reputation and the value of your hedge. At the very least wave is a tweener. Your hedge should seek weaker companies with less promising vision, potential, and most importantly, connections then you will bring something of value to the table.
