I guess we'll just see what we will see, eh??
Really?? So I can just hear the judge saying, "Mr. SpongeTech, will you please stand." LOL
Not hardly. Two main characters are in the spotlight because of their shady dealings. SpongeTech is NOT on trial here. Why? Because it was a concept. It became a business. There are sponges and soap and packaging and advertising and all other things non-human. None of these things are in the court room. SpongeTech is simply a name of a business. Being that the chapter 7 is reverting back to chapter 11 allows this company, under rightful ownership, to possibly flourish. We know for a fact that this product was quite popular around America. It had applications in the automotive, marine, agricultural fields and a few other areas I haven't mentioned. So, by saying that SPNG is in BIG trouble is laughable. Focus your attention on the M&M boys and their cohorts. THAT'S who's on trial here.
SRV, You state that SPNG is in BIG trouble. If you would be so kind as to explain exactly how that is possible, I'm all ears.
dlewisfl,
Couldn't agree with you more. Watching that kid sit there screaming was really obnoxious.
Hey, is SPNG on Nasdaq yet??
Mr. Faulk,
Superb article. Thanks for that.
Brig,
Not sure where you've been man, but the SPNG product WAS on their shelves for quite awhile.........all over the country. And btw, the product was/is great and offered many applications, ie., automotive, personal, pet, cosmetic, marine and what was lined up was agriculture and medical markets.
TDS,
Do you believe that NSS exists or that it is just a conspiracy theory with this stock? Just something people want to blame on because they've lost their shorts. No pun intended.
OT,
Thanks for that. I completely forgot about H.H.B. Are they still in business, and if so, what do you think the future holds for them and the patent?
Pup,
Proprietary means, "exclusively owned".
Puppy,
Look, most here know the M&M boys are goin' away. We get that. But when you post that the business was a phony, I just don't get that. Are you inferring that the sponges themselves are phony? How 'bout the soap infused aspect of the sponge? Is that phony? Or, what about the 45,000 stores nationwide that housed and sold the sponges? Are they really just a figment of many's imagination?
I know people who have purchased and used these sponges with great satisfaction. Now, possibly, I'm existing in some alternative universe where I'm actually experiencing all of this. But I don't think so.
The reality of the situation is that we have 2+ idiots who took what could have been a very successful business and utilized it for greed. Gordon Gekko was wrong. Greed is not good. It's just simply greed.
Puppy, I think it's about time you get away from trashing the product and stick with the real problem............M&M.
Badshah,
Wow!!!! GREAT letter. Hope something comes of it.
OT,
I'm not going to take Moskowitz's word for it. I'm a firm believer that NSS is in play with this stock. It's quite possible that 2.2B shares out there are just that..........NSS.
Could be a lot more. As everyone knows, the proof is in the pudding, so we're gonna wait it out and see what shakes out.
Spook,
I'm referring to the SEC and our legal system getting their spit together and finding out what is real, in regards to actual os. I believe we have a number that is just being thrown at us. They DO NOT know for sure. And so I'm in agreement with Badshah that this process needs to be executed. PROVE IT!!
Badshah,
Great post. Everyone should be in agreement with your thoughts on this matter.
Hey Weeble,
How is it that Spng hurt the economy? How is that possible? Does Spng have artificial intelligence? Is it a company that thinks on it's own or might there be a human element involved?
What is so hard to understand here? I am not standing up for the M&M crooks. I am standing up for a great product. Myself and I'm sure many many others want to see this product grow and expand under new leadership.
You can take Metter and Moskowicz and stick 'em in the same cell Altomare was in................when they are proven guilty.
Do companies like Walmart, Walgreens, CVS etc. really put "gimmicks" on their shelves??
Seems to me that a gimmick is a kind of device used to cheat, deceive or trick someone.
What we have here is a soap-laced antimicrobial item that seems to work quite well and probably one of the reasons the above mentioned companies stocked the product.
Because they were just too slippery???
Ye says that that is correct alienman.
Well I gotta disagree with you here. Many a poster here over the months have shared their experiences with these sponges and their various applications and how well they have worked and are currently working. They love the product.
And yes, I understand the whole pump and dump thing and hope that the scammers M&M get what they have coming..........when they're convicted.
But, bottom line is the product. This is a great product with unlimited capabilities in a variety of markets. Why would so many speak so highly of something that was, as you say, crappy??
Just wanted to make sure you knew that!!
Are you inferring that the product itself is a fraud?? That it's a figment of our imagination and doesn't really exist?
Panther,
I just gotta know. How is it that you have access to to all of these shareholder letters?? You flat-out state in your first sentence that "all these shareholder letters to Judge Irizarry start off with lecturing the judge on the merits of "Small business." How can you know that? Please share.
Hey Mack,
I'm still here!!!
dp,
Thanks for that post. Very interesting. And to you Mr.Strickland, a big shout out to you for a magnificent letter sent off to Judge Irizarry. I believe wholeheartedly that this company should be saved. Just put the bad guys away.
Hey leucro,
Good post. Just one favor. May I use that room after you?? I don't believe penitence is good enough. Not for the type of people that pull off these scams.
Hoggey,
Just trying to catch up on these posts and arrived at post #323269 and all I can say is, right on man. That was great! I too am a firm believer that the SEC is as corrupt as the day is long. The others most likely follow suit as it seems quite easy for people in power to abuse that power. Happens all the time.
BTW, I am not defending M&M by any means. I want them to go away as I see them as dirty as a babies behind at 2 in the morning. But, on the other side of the coin, I want Spng to survive. The feeling now is kinda like you're in a Texas Hold'em poker tournament, you're at the final table, there's a lot of money in the pot and you're down to the river. You're holding four spades with the Ace and anything other than a spade ends your tournament. Now.................how long am I gonna wait to see the dealer show that river card??
That's what this thing is all about boys and girls. Just a big 'ol poker game. Win some, lose some. Just waitin' on the river.
Tradeguy,
I was brought into this stock by a friend who assured me that he had done his due dilegence on it. He was very fired up and assured that this puppy was going places. Well, when I read post # 318226, it made me wonder just how much due diligence was really done. Knowing this info about Metter before I invested most likely would have kept me away.
Please go back and read that post and let me know if that kind of info would have kept you from investing.
Patch,
Excellent reply. But............let me ask you this. Who currently owns the patent? Is it Dicon? H.H. Brown? Or...other?
Risi,
Thanks for your opinion on that.
Risi,
It seems like each time someone posts a thought on how Spng the company (w/o the Mutt idiots) could survive and flourish, you and a number of others blast the idea as ludicrous. In essence, what you are doing is infusing your opinion as to what the actual judge(s) will be deciding on. You kind of make it sound like you already know the outcome.
The judge(s) will determine the fate of 2 men based on their actions. Chances are good that they're going away for awhile. But, this judge will also take a good hard look at Spng and what it brought to the table. Sponges!! Very unique sponges. This is a product that was in 45,000 stores nationwide. A lot of people really liked these sponges and with all the various applications, why would a judge just banish the product?? I believe a judge will see the value of this company and allow it to survive.
Let's say you have a product like.............band-aids, brand new to the world and now in all appropriate stores in America. The guy that invented this product now goes out and robs a bank and gets caught. Well, the guys screwed, but are the band-aids going to get pulled from all the stores?? Dumb analogy, but you get my point.
Wesslee,
I too would like to know that.
Panther, Risi, oa, et.al., please go back to post 317308 and if you would, please offer an opinion. Bottom line here is that quite a few investors out there just want to know, "is it feasable?"
'Ya know, I've been wondering about some of this myself. Why are there purchases of this stock at this time. Doesn't seem to make sense. But then, what if? This could be the dumb question/thought of the day, but, what if??
What if Dicon/H.H. Brown were able to gain control of the patents, through legal ranglings of course, but be the holders of those patents?
What if they could pull Spongetech from the ashes, bring in a crack team of very sharp business people who truly want to take this company to the next level?
Then...........what if, through very professional endeavors, they were able to renegotiate with Walmart, CVS et.al.,and restock their shelves with the Spongetech product?
It seems to me that the reason so many were involved with this company in the first place was because of the product. Many thousands of people in this country are well aware of the product.
It works. It's proven and look at all the various applications.
Can somebody give me the name of a company out there that would be considered a rival? A company that produces a soap "delivery system" via sponges that are antimicrobial.
What if the people out there that are purchasing Spongetech stock are the people that believe this scenario to be a possibility?
What if ???
So underdog, you must have been in the room when they opened up the closed checking account checkbook and you watched them write that bad check????
Weeble,
Would you mind proving that. Seriously !! You are pretty much going to have to be an employee of the bank where it bounced and you were the handler of that bouncing check or you secretly work for Spng and know the inner workings of their finacial dept.
Hey Alien,
Exactly how many checks have they bounced?? Is it 50, 100, 200 or maybe just 4?? And what of the possibility that it was done deliberately due to some shady dealings by the recievers of those checks?
T.C.,
You are not really answering the question I posed to you. You made comments that only someone who was actually there could make. You see...............logically speaking, you HAD to be there to say what you said. But, my guess is that you weren't really there at all. Nope!! You weren't there.
Steve,
Now, how in the world can you possibly know that they are really in RME's coffers. Did M or M tell you that? Were you actually in their offices and they opened a drawer and there was all the money?
