At the time I did not mind OGR. It was noticeable and was getting values. Upon reflection, hopefully not to be taken as 20-20 hindsight, I had found that their upside was limited. This has been borne out, as the orebody (it was mined open pit during a previous ownership) has not expanded that much. Whilst not shabby totally, as it could be heap leach, at least in the oxide portions, it never appeared huge. I thought 700,000 ounces was the upside. People seem to forget that in oxide, heap leachable ore, as low as 1 gram can be profitably mined. As little as 150,000 ounces of heap leachable gold can be a mine, depending on start up costs. I would think what they have at OGR at the one site of interest is probably mineable, but it is not necessarily a home-run promotion by itself. They have scads of other properties. Some of them may have more promise than the initial property they have promoted so assiduously. I had thought they should bang a few holes in these to see if they do not show something of interest.
Lots of miners going to appreciate 2009-2010 in rare earths, gold, and silver.
We are looking to do some mining down Guyana way and there a bunch of good looking stocks that are dirt cheap down there.
Sandspring Res, Shoreham, Guyana Goldfields, Goldport, Sacre Coeur, are all going way up the ladder given 12 months time.
We also have the Dec Stewart Play with Nanika, GGY, Dec, and loads of others.
Underworld and some 27 copy cats are boinking holes and getting gold in the White Gold area of the Yukon. Promises to have news for the next coupla for sure.
Looks like good year in junior stocks.

There always was a good resource there. Something like 600,000 ounces and not bad grade. I worked on the property back in 1989 or thereabouts. Lotsa drilling. Moneta always needed a major or junior major to take it into production as they never had the money themselves.
Someday baby....
Noront Resources Ltd.: EAGLE TWO HAS LANDED
Shear- Hosted Massive Sulphides Encountered
2 Kilometers Southwest of Eagle One
TORONTO, ONTARIO--Feb. 25, 2008 - Noront Resources Ltd. is pleased to announce the discovery of a second massive sulphide occurrence located 2 kilometers to the southwest of its Eagle One magmatic massive sulphide occurrence within Noront's 100% owned Double Eagle Project in the McFauld's Lake Area of northeastern Ontario.
"We are pleased to announce that semi-massive to massive sulphide mineralization has been encountered about 2 kilometers to the southwest of Eagle One, in what is believed to be a peridotite filled conduit of the Eagle One magmatic massive sulphide occurrence. Our new drill objectives are to focus on this new occurrence and also to complete drill testing several other high-priority geophysical targets within the Double Eagle project area," states Richard Nemis, President and CEO of Noront.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Nickel-copper massive sulphides in a sheared deformation zone hosted by peridotite have been encountered in four holes, located 2 kilometers to the southwest of Eagle One while testing airborne and ground confirmed geophysical anomalies.
EAGLE TWO
This new massive sulphide discovery occurs at the Aerotem Anomaly #2, located approximately 2 kilometers to the southwest of the Eagle One magmatic massive sulphide occurrence. Four holes have intersected massive to semi-massive sulphide mineralization. The rock units encountered at Eagle Two consist of strongly altered peridotite hosting a multi-phased deformation zone containing veins of sulphides ranging from a few centimeters wide to over 3 meters wide. The deformation zone varies in length from 3 meters to 26 meters in the holes drilled to date. The sulphide veins encountered in each hole are composed of pyrrhotite, magnetite, chalcopyrite and pentlandite with variable amounts of talc. Large crystals of pentlandite up to a few millimeters in size are evident in the most recent drill hole (NOT-08-1G8). A detailed account of this new discovery will be press released shortly.
Hole NOT-08-1G2 was drilled at local grid coordinates 32+17E, 5+73N with an azimuth of 155 degrees and initial dip of -50 degrees. After 10.9 meters of overburden and limestone the hole entered a strongly altered peridotite. A mineralized deformation zone was encountered over a length of 29 meters between 39 and 68 meters downhole, comprising a 3 meter section of massive sulphide-magnetite breccia and units of sulphide breccia with widths ranging from a few centimeters to a maximum of 1 meter in length throughout the entire zone. The hole was terminated at 239 meters in an altered peridotite.
Hole NOT-08-1G3 was drilled from the same set-up as 1G2 and the same azimuth but drilled at -65 degrees. After 11 meters of overburden and limestone the hole entered a strongly altered peridotite. The deformation zone was encountered between 43.3 and 46.7 meters (3.4 meters of core length) containing massive pyrrhotite-magnetite with chalcopyrite. Below the massive sulfide intersection, hole 1G3 contained two massive chromitite layers, the upper one being 5 meters thick starting at 123 meters to 128 meters, the lower one being three meters thick, terminating at about 143.7 meters core length.
Hole NOT-08-1G6 was drilled at local coordinates 32+50E, 7+10N at an initial azimuth of 155 degrees and an initial dip of -50 degrees. After 12.1 meters of overburden, the hole entered granodiorite until a depth of 81.5 meters. Following granodiorite, the hole entered strongly altered peridotite until encountering a deformation zone between 113.2 and 131 meters (17.8 meters of core length). Similar mineralization as in holes 1G2 and 1G3 was encountered, composed of sulphide breccia over intervals of a few centimeters up to 0.8 meters. These veins host semi-massive pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite and magnetite, and also showed a positive reaction to the DMG nickel test as in the previous holes. Chromitite seams and chromitite domains were encountered in this hole between 248 and 257 meters (9 meters of core length). A thin shear hosted sulphide zone was intersected from 257.5 to 258.2 meters downhole. This hole continued through a series of altered peridotite, non-altered peridotite and serpentinized dunite until its end at 348 meters.
Hole NOT-08-1G8 is being drilled at the same collar location as hole 1G6, with the same azimuth, however the initial dip was increased to -65 degrees. This hole is still underway, and has encountered massive sulphide mineralization between 123 and 130 meters downhole (7 meters of core length) The tenor of mineralization is much stronger in this intersection, this hole continues to test for a down dip extension of the aforementioned chromitite and sulphide zones encountered in holes 1G6 and 1G3. The drill result intersections presented above are not true width. True width determination will be referred to once the resource estimate is completed.
Why is he wearing that funny light on his head?

You never know.
Glad to see they are back at it.
I saw drill holes on this since about 1994 or thereabouts and even did some stripping on it with a local contractor. It is a typical green carbonate ore of the Timmins Camp variety. They say it has ounces in it that would support a ramp from the north, to a depth of about 600 feet or better. It is difficult but perhaps not impossible to sink a shaft directly on the ore, but I would dispute the difficulty, as I stood on good rock in the ore zone. It is just that this rock is often surrounded by swamp. The best rock access to this body (they say) is apparently from a zone about 1000 feet north. This is not a show stopper as you have to ramp to depth anyway.
It has some good high grade. it has never been promoted in the conventional sense as the company was always looking for a mining partner. Barrick was the logical choice or Noranda, as they have mills in the area. Few juniors want to build a mill and Moneta never had the stock price for long to issue few enough shares to build a mill and mine complex.
I think it has 600,000 ounces or more, in the inferred category.

Speaking of manpower shortages, why don't you get out your jackleg and fire it up?
If miners are that short, I am sure you qualify.
I heard that you were born on a porcupine.
So you should be able to find a quill with which to drill.

Well people say it is. There are solutions being found.
I can access underground narrow vein contracting people myself.

probably a fair bit went both ways.
nobody ever found the extension of that property.
it is in good gold country out in Matheson.
wish them well.
I like that news report. They take their time and pick what they have to say very carefully and it makes good sense. They seem to be moving forward in a steady and dare we say, relentless manner. Perhaps relentless is a tad overstated, but they are making progress.
The way I see Roxmark is they are sharpening their tools. No great shakes in production or testing as of yet, but so far no steps backward. They are not burning out. There is a lot more resource to define and their is a definite chance of making a producing feed out that resource without excessive expenditure.
I think they are entering a hopeful and soon to be productive phase. I would like to see what this Empire drilling reveals. This may well prove to be the tip of an iceberg. There could be all sorts of stuff on strike to be found. They did not stop mining these orebodies back in the 40's because they ran out of ore. They ran out of manpower. The ore is still there, and often more is left in the mine than was mined by a large factor.

Phil is big.
Really big.
He must weigh 175 lbs, soaking wet.
But he is big. He has 17 gold teeth. And a golden hat band. Gold cuff links and a gold tie pin made of a one ounce gold bar.
They call him Gung-Ho Golden Phil in the gilt-edged circles of Toronto investment.
I will bet they do feasibilities on all properties by 2009. And I will bet that at least two come up positive to spend about 30 million to put them into production and revamp the NE Mill to perhaps 600 tpd. A feed rate of 220 ounces per day would make a resource of perhaps 600,000 ounces at a grade of 0.35 OPT well worth while. It would mean 7.8 years mining at a per year gold production rate of 80,000 ounces. They could hit 1.30 a share. The need to get their shares to about 80 cents to finance this, as they don't want excessive dilution.
EC<:-}
Roxmark has not optioned out or JV'd or dropped any of its properties. But given that is has a s-load of them, it may in the future do just that, farm out, in, or JV some of its properties, as it has in the past. My thinking is base on the financial realities of operating them all by themselves. I don't think they can do it all on their own. I can foresee perhaps one or two JV partners, and possibly a farm out. After all, they possess no less than four former operating properties. Magnet, Key Lake, Empire and Leitch. I can see them perhaps doing the Empire and the Leitch on their own, as they are close to the mill, but the others look more likely candidates for JV people. Just my opinion and not based on any company policy that I am aware of.
I do know they intend to drill the Empire property soon. This is the first work it has seen in perhaps ten years. The Empire was a high grade and profitable small scale operation. They mined a one hundred and fifty thousand ounces of gold at a recovered grade of 0.38 ounces per ton. There were no metallurgical difficulties.

WHY GROW WALNUT?
Black walnut is one of the Midwest's most valuable tree species based on price per board foot. It has long been in high demand throughout the world for wood products because of its beautiful color, strength, durability, dimensional stability after drying, and excellent machining qualities. Besides wood products, walnut trees produce edible nuts, wildlife food, and beauty, while protecting soil and water resources. When you plant and care for black walnut trees, you are making an investment that may pay off handsomely in future years.
