Thanks for sharing. While we're in the mood...
11k JAN 17 40 calls is where I would have put my half a mil.
I'm betting with you and good luck.
Call didn't sound bad at all but I likely missed something in the past hour - down 4%
Makes sense - a day preceding the Windows release.
Fingers crossed.

Go Hawks!
I applaud the confidence that many give to the 'non-technical' crowd but I seriously doubt the masses will look deep into what's available and make smart decisions on such information. I routinely talk to people who have desktops, laptops, tablets. Etc. and experience some sort of error or failure and simply run out and buy a new device to replace their 'old' one. The number of people who 'know' are far outnumbered by those who haven't a clue. GLTA on Tuesday.
Literally next year then huh? Bummer
Intel in iPhones?
When will this be confirmed or denied? 4/17?
I try to follow any news on quantum computing as this technology will be revolutionary. Many kinks still to be worked out, I know, but I do recall reading that IBM would be in the forefront. Likely? I don't know. How? No clue. Regardless I keep an eye for any sort of news relating the two. Calls on IBM were out of my league last I checked but since the recent decline and Buffets interest I may take another look. GLTA
Pass me a tissue. Kicking myself. Hard.
Knew I shoulda reloaded on her... Still have a few jan calls but last week was prime time. GLTA!!!
Good video Clay. Thank you - will check out your chat/subscription when I have some down time.
8/15 short interest down 10M, to 126M
Leirum, thank you for elaborating.
At this point it seems like selling puts would be in line with my logic. Being long and not wanting to bet against, or theoretically limit (psychology)(or juju) microns potential Id be willing to bet that the stock will not drop past a certain level.
It seems that both scenarios you mentioned generate income and unless the stock reaches either the low put or high covered call value. However should either option be exercised you would have to sell your original 100 shares purchased.
Does one scenario have more of an advantage than the other? Both have limited gains and losses as well if memory serves me correctly. This was one of the reasons I have stayed with with simply buying calls at this point as the gains are unlimited in best case scenarios.
I thank you again for explaining. Knowledge is power at any point, but seems to have an exponential effect while learning.

Short interest according to nasdaq.

Down from mid July - curious to see new numbers
Care to elaborate? I've only just started in the options game and have only bought calls at this point. I'm not comfortable enough to start writing or selling but am curious to see the strategies that other use.
Thanks,
Was up near twelve after the close AH if I recall correctly
Tell me about it. Dumped 80% of my 10 jan 15 calls over past few months for about a buck. That 20% is looking pretty but man o man... Kicking myself
Same boat here techno. When? Is a great question.
Up after Intel Q3 guidance and should continue. Opportunity who?

Not going back below $4 IMHO
Love it
Anyone else get that SA alert about Qualcomm buying Black Sand? Alert says RFMD & TQNT 'tumbled' after announcement. Down for the day but AH looks fine... Hope the 'tumble' is over already :/ GLTA
Jarvis,
I recently switched over to TDA from Scottrade because of TDA's platform, what a difference.
Haven't even scratched the surface on the new platform but love it so far and there are tons of educational resources available that I too have yet to dive into.
I believe I have both Tier 1 & 2 available to me but could be wrong. And guessing here but I would say the length of time or 'experience' you state you have trading such is a big determining factor for them. I indicated several years (3+) I believe and I doubt they would know if you were to exaggerate a bit if you feel comfortable doing so. The fear of 'the unknown' keeps me from gambling too largely and losing it all so as it currently stands I am content with whatever tiers I have available.
Where do you see which tiers you are eligible for?
.79
Thank you
Saw we cleared the antitrust regulatory hurdle, what's next? Any idea of when the merger is said to complete? No rush or worry, just curious.

*Absolute 'tear'
And I've my party hat on with ya!
Agreed truetrue. On an absolute year today. Been checking the boards here and seems there are not many mu fans but glad to see your post.
The decent lot of 35 jan calls I have are shaping up nicely. The sooner the better for $40. And that $50 PT gives me the giggles.
GLTA!
Fingers crossed. Fast approaching 52wk high here. Let's get that last dime and get the ball rolling.

Maybe I explained my thoughts poorly. Time tells all, we shall see. GLTA
Agreed. I was saying the US market will be down - this will be up. Now only if this was my majority holdings is be set lol. I believe we usually follow the japan markets (usually...similarly...not saying identical here) (don't jump down my throat anyone lol) and has me uneasy about further losses after today
Well Japan is down hard. Figuring the rest of the market is going to take a beating tomorrow so if all goes well here it will help shine some optimism on a gloomy day! GLTA ??

Sorry mobile ATM
That digitimes article throws out some huge numbers. Assuming that is for the entire industry and mu has a fair percent of said industry... Phenomenal news for longs. Will keep eyes peeled for SA article breaking it down into laymen terms.
GLTA
Exactly.
