Good luck. I've been wanting to play a bounce at 7's, then 6's, then 5's and it never came. Maybe you can buy now and play the bounce and cut your losses at 3s. LOL
Wow in the 4's now. Seems to have no bottom.
I don't get it either. Q2 is always weak for GRPN.
I thought there was 660 million shares outstanding? How is 396.6 million shares .6% of the o/s?
Anyone know what the float is for GRPN stock?
BUY BUY BUY!
Told you it'll fade back to 4's again!
You mean smart traders who actually make money taking profits? Keep holding, it'll fade back to the 4's again.
Ok so how does that help SLTD? Beifuss is a CEO of another penny stock company. Woop peee doo.
GRPN needs to break 6.80s and hold
Yes earnings will probably be weak this quarter but that was already priced in since the CEO already said that. Stocks don't trade b/c of past quarters, they trade on future earnings so GRPN will have good guidance when Aug earnings come out and it'll be good from there.
schaeffersresearch.com is retarded. Last week they said GRPN is bullish in the short-term at least for 2 weeks. Then today they send out a report saying its a bearish short-term. When GRPN is up, they say bullish, when its down, they say bearish.
Depends on how much the other company buys GRPN for. For instance, if another company buys GRPN for 10 billion. You'll have to divide 10 bil over the outstanding shares of 680 mil. So that would be 14.70 per share. If that happens, the stock will jump up to at least 14.70 per share. Look at opentable, they got bought out by Priceline for 2.6 bil. OPEN had outstanding shares of 25 mil. So 2.6 bil divided by 25 mil = $104. The day of the acquisition news, OPEN went up to $103-104 range. Before the acquire, they were around $70.
Zack's rated Groupon a sell a month ago when it was at its lowest. Now they rate it as a hold. I guess Zack's strategy is to sell low buy high.
How do you figure that? Looks like 5.50 is the next stop unfortunately.
Listen to 7:30 and on. 3 years ago Jim Nelson says he's going to have a working prototype by end of year. And manufacture it the year after and into the market. Fast forward to 2014 and He's saying the same exact thing. Have a working prototype by end of the year and have his product to market. Same old story.
Yea he owns 35K shares directly but he owns 106 million shares indirectly through his company called Green Media. Him selling 450K is like only .5% of his holdings. It's like me selling 50 shares when i have 10,000 shares. No biggie.
Jana Parnters added 10million shares of GRPN.

Earnings beat and good forward guidance. Stock down....more buying opportunity or am I a lunatic?
no one will take you seriously if you're gonna quote Cramer the entertainer.
It's going to the MOON! weeeeeeeeeee.
You won't get a serious answer from me anymore.....everyone just bashes my realistic comments or it gets removed.
so you're admitting that everyone here has drunk the koolaid and has vision for solar3d. Nice.
what is this? A cult?
Then why is the stock getting wacked?
I had the 47.50 calls and sold them too early but still nice profit on earnings!
great earnings on VDSI yesterday! Got in early!
sell off at end of day! whoa!
Yes I know. I'm talking about having cash value.
Yes I'm trading on margin and have more than that. Here's my convo with support:
15:43 jk: Hi, Is it possible to short OTC stock through TD ameritrade or through thinkorswim platform?
15:43 Scott_FW: hi, TD Ameritrade views all OTC stocks as non marginable, so you cannot short them through TD Ameritrade
15:44 jk: ok b/c i have a friend that is able to short OTC stocks through td ameritrade
15:44 jk: is that a unique situation for him?
15:45 Scott_FW: no, he would not be allowed to either. do you no which stocks he sold short?
15:45 jk: no i do not
15:46 Scott_FW: they may have just been low priced Nasdaq stocks
15:46 jk: ok thanks
Are you sure you shorted OTCBB or pinksheet stocks? Sometimes it could be low priced NASDAQ or other exchange stocks. I have shorted low stocks before like ZIOP and others.
I just talk to their online support on thinkorswim and they said "no, it's not possible to short OTC stocks." So either you're lying or they are lying...and I have to believe in their customer service.
Who do you use?
tdameritrade
I have more than 50k in my account. Guess you don't know how shorting works. They don't have any shares to borrow in OTC stocks. And you only need 25k to be a pattern day trader.
There are however other brokers that allow you to short penny stocks above 1 but I am not going to move my money to short penny stocks.
Don't add words. I said retail investors. I can't even short OTC stocks even if I wanted to. My broker won't let me.
If I got a nickel every time I see someone post that the MM's are to blame for the stock price....I'll be rich! Look at most penny stock board and you'll know what I mean.
yes that's exactly what I think it means. Thanks for proving my point.
And your proof is nothing but faith in Jim. Yea if you think its peanuts compare to the big picture, tell that to JN. He's the one selling not me. You're telling the wrong man buddy.
Then explain to me why Jim's Form 4 has a transaction type of S.

Another example but a penny stock TRTC who's a weed stock using trading plan:
http://www.insiderinsights.com/free/index.php?s=ticker&q=trtc&t=B,AB,JB*,OB,OE*,OE,S,AS,JS*,OS,OS*,3,JB,JS&o=-1&a=
A scam halted stock PHOT doesn't use it. It's all transaction type S when selling:
http://www.insiderinsights.com/free/index.php?s=ticker&q=phot&t=B,AB,JB*,OB,OE*,OE,S,AS,JS*,OS,OS*,3,JB,JS&o=-1&a=
Do you still believe that Jim Nelson is using the "Blind Trust Fund" to sell his shares? Not sure how much more evidence I need to show you that he's not using any trust fund. It's him just selling it whenever he wants.
Compare that with AMZN CEO and directors who actually does use the trading plan under sec rule 10b5-1. Code type AS.
http://www.insiderinsights.com/free/index.php?s=ticker&q=amzn&t=B,AB,JB*,OB,OE*,OE,S,AS,JS*,OS,OS*,3,JB,JS&o=-1&a=
Jim Nelson's sells that were filed on form 4 were not sales from a blind trust fund via trading plan 10b5-1. It was a sell in the open market.
Look at these Form 4 codes:
http://www.insiderinsights.com/about/keytoinfobase.php
Look at his sales:
http://www.insiderinsights.com/free/index.php?s=ticker&q=sltd&t=B,AB,JB*,OB,OE*,OE,S,AS,JS*,OS,OS*,3,JB,JS&o=-1&a=
No AS (Automatic sales) code type through "blind trust fund". It's all sells from the Open market. Everyone saying Jim's selling through blind trust fund is blind.
