Top Dividend stocks to buy now!

8. Icahn Enterprises LP Common Stock (NASDAQ:IEP)
Average Analyst Price Estimate: $25
Upside Potential: 44%
Billionaire Carl Icahn-led conglomerate Icahn Enterprises LP Common Stock (NASDAQ:IEP) is one of the dividend stocks with 9% yield that has high upside potential based on analyst price estimates. Wall Street analysts expect the stock to reach $25, while it was trading at around $17 as of April 14. The company talked about dividends and other important business matters in an earnings call in February:
“CVI declared a fourth quarter cash dividend of $0.50 per share. And now to our Automotive segment. As we previously discussed, the segment has undergone significant change due to the deconsolidation of Auto Plus in January of 2023. The segment results throughout 2023 are made up primarily of automotive service operations as compared to 2022, which also included the aftermarket parts operations of Auto Plus.
Q4 2023 automotive service revenues were down $15 million compared to Q4 2022, driven by store closures and lower car count. Adjusted EBITDA was $28 million for the quarter, a $71 million improvement as compared to Q4 2022, mainly due to the exit of the Auto Plus aftermarket parts business. Now, turning to our Real Estate segment. Q4 2023 net sales and other revenues increased by $8 million and adjusted EBITDA increased by $3 million compared to the prior year quarter, primarily driven by the sale of single family homes. Now on to our Other Operating segments. Food packaging’s adjusted EBITDA was flat for Q4 2023 as compared to the prior year quarter. The quarter-over-quarter comparison was positively impacted by pricing initiatives and lower distribution cost, which was offset by lower sales volume.”
Today is the $1.00 per share dividend pay date. Does anyone know when it gets deposited into our accounts from past payments?
AZCowboy, We are all grateful of your continued DD and knowledge on documents. Are you looking at something like a 1.5 Forward spilt
That would keep us just under 100 million shares and would adjust COOP to around $51.00? You possible have better numbers?
IEP has weekly options so today is the weekly expiration day. It looks like again the MM will pin the closing price ether just above or below $17.00 depending on which side they own the most options. My guess is it will close ether at or just above $17.00 so don't expect a big move today. Long term I like it! Anyone that held IEP on March 10 will receive $1.00 per share dividend on April 18th. It also looks like IEP has shed many losing stocks in 2023 and has moved into many that should go up in 2024
Boris, to be more accurate one should print a copy of Feb. 2022 as all our Escrow was removed from account on 02/11/2022 it shows this removal as:

Zilla, I have been accumulating IEP through STO-sell to open PUTS. I look at Bollinger bands and support zones and look out at a option expiration date that falls right before my expected X-DIV. date. I can collect a nice premium which I keep if the pps closes above my strike price.
On Friday I had lots of $17.50 but was only assigned about half as the pps was close $17.47 but I collected about $1.25 per share in premium. I am now looking out at April 26 option expiration and may look at the 19 or 20 strike price to collect big premium and if assigned collect div in the next month. IMO long term IEP should go up
Today March 8th is the weekly Option expiration day and important one as it falls on EX-Div date. One would need to own IEP today to collect dividend April 18th.
I see a lot of PUT open interest at the $18, 18.50 and 19.00 so IMO we will see MM pin the closing price just below $18.00 to force those like me that have STO PUTS to get assigned IEP but not able to collect this quarter dividend. Today is a great day to own IEP as it pays a nice $1.00 per share dividend on April 18th
Austin Che has been selling shares every day for years. Most likely they are gifted shares which is diluting the value of DNA for years.
IMO, Management has turned DNA into a piggy-bank and they need a salary reduction to turn DNA into something closer to breaking even not losing year after year.

ice, IDEX performance is all about "POOR" management as CEO POOR and group sucks more in salary then what IDEX earns. This is headed for another R/S then into chapter 11 or 7 IMO
Zilla, today is Option expiration date. There was a lot of $17.50 Calls and Puts sold bought and my guess is those big MM will stick the closing pps ether above or below that $17.50 and my bet is it will close above 17.50
Lodas, just asking if you signed your release for your 195K as you stated you had?
You post daily many time hourly telling all other that signed their release will not get anything. - Is it jealousy that since you did not sign your release you wish all other that did sign that they do not get anything. I am sure you will feel very bad if those that did sign get a lot of $$$ and you have posted for years no one will get a Penney?
Go back to your option investing and stop posting your negative opinions. IMO!
4 High-Yield Dividend Stocks Wall Street Thinks Will Soar 45% or More in 2024
Icahn Enterprises LP
Icahn Enterprises LP (NASDAQ: IEP) bears the name of its famous founder, Carl Icahn. The Florida-based holding company operates businesses in a wide range of industries, including automotive, energy, investments, and real estate. Its dividend yield stands at a jaw-dropping 22.3%.
Last year, Icahn Enterprises slashed its dividend in half. The move didn't negatively impact its yield very much because the company's share price nosedived. Over the last 12 months, Icahn Enterprises stock has plummeted 65%.
The lone analyst surveyed by LSEG who set a price target for Icahn Enterprises, however, is looking for brighter days ahead. That target is 45% above the current share price. Although that isn't enough to enable Icahn Enterprises to regain its losses over the past year, it's nonetheless a big jump -- if the stock can climb as much as the analyst projects.
I sold all shares at $2.25 a month ago because of "POOR" management!
Thanks FreeFNMA about those Float calculations, which I do feel are more accurate. I have been rapidly accumulating IEP since their big drop from the $30 to current $17.80 mostly thorough STO PUTS working my strike date to be close/before to X-Div date to collect nice premium and if assigned collect nice dividend.
I feel 2024 should be turn around year and we should see IEP move higher into $20 plus
If you look here = https://finviz.com/quote.ashx?t=IEP&ty=c&ta=1&p=d
you see someone is not reporting correct float so not sure where you got that 42M float from.
What I am looking at is the expected earnings for 2024 should perform vary good compared to the 2023 earnings.
I feel IEP will perform good in the next year.
Just sold all my IDEX at 2.25 as IMO this management team will drive IDEX into bankruptcy read the last earning and all foot notes and you will read how much in debt IDEX has without secured funding. Yes, IMO CEO "POOR" is a poor manager that has used IDEX shareholders as his personal piggy-bank for years.
Good Luck to all! but my losses will get recorded in 2023
IEP looks good going forward. 2023 was a bad year with short sellers and the EPS losing -101.7% but looking at 2024 IEP should stat gaining back those loses at their EPS is expected to clime +184.34% We have $1.00 ps div payout on Dec. 27
I loaded up on the Jan 19th STO- sell to open $17.50 PUTS as I expect the pps will be above that 17.50 on that expiration date.
stoxjock, I agree this market runup may be a setup for end of year profit taking after many already sold their tax loses to keep within Wash rules. I like to have lots of cash to buy securities I feel have been over sold and should move up faster 1st of year. I do all my buy's and sells ether through STO-sell to open Covered Calls when my security looks over bought and in top of 30 day Bollinger band.
With cash in account I then look for over sold securities that are trading in the bottom of Bollinger band with a STO-sell to open PUT, which is a optimistic play that you feel the pps will be above ( or below if you wish to acquire the stock and with your premium you already collected makes it a good bet) your Put strike price at expiration date which I use 30 day to 90 days out till expiation date for max premium. Note: these STO PUTS are my main money maker as they usually expirer with 100% premium I collected.
Also very important - I only do these with stock I would like to be assigned at my PUT option price and the extra premium collected makes your cost per share lower. You also need to review the company fundamentals to see where the pps should move - will the expected EPS increase or decrease going forward plus companies book value and if there will be a X-Dividend date during your option period. I have lately gone after many high dividend stock, and play them within ether the Calls or Puts within their Bollinger bans. I hit a home run on OMF that pays $1.00 ps which has ran up over $10 in last couple weeks - right now it has moved too far north to play.
I am buying heavily now with STO PUTS on IEP = https://finviz.com/quote.ashx?t=IEP&ty=c&ta=1&p=d
which has been hammered by large short hedge fund moving down from $50 to now $15.51 I have been doing the Jan and Feb $17.50 PUTS collecting $2 plus premium which would put my cost at $15.50 or lower if assigned. Yes, they lost big $$ in 2023 but the expected EPS moves up fast next year plus if you acquirer the stock which I have been tiring they pay $1.00 ps dividend which is over a 35% dividend return plus lots of upside trading below book value.
It is all about keeping cash flow coming into your act. and not out! Good luck to all! Like Lodas I am big with options plays and make big $$ but I also signed my releases and hold a vary large amounts of WMI escrow shares plus lot of preferred. and do feel we should get nice return and hopeful soon. From how much Lodas bashes escrow holders I feel he did not sign his releases on his big 195k shares. All IMO!
That large after hour was adjustment for Option expiration which was today. It makes those adjustments depending on Call or Puts above or below strike price.
For me I had $65 covered Call and the pps closed above my 65 price so they were sold BUT I collected $2.00 pps collecting 67 today cash in account. I read the 8k pre market and felt pps would move lower.
COOP has made a big move and I expect some sell off profit taking into next week. If pps makes move lower I can STOP a PUT to collect premium and possibly buy stock back at lower price.
insider selling in last year close to 200 million sold with little new buys.
This is why DNA is going down untill this stops,
go here to see = https://www.secform4.com/insider-trading/1830214.htm
The issue I see with DNA not going up is caused by insider managers and form 144 sales.
To me it looks like management has set up DNA to be their piggy-bank and use shares which dilutes to value to all shareholders to pay compensation.
Most likely they do not have the $$ to pay the CEO his big salary so they sale shares. I have sent letters to IR and CEO to clarify but no response.
Look below as it shows just Austin Che getting paid $8300 per day which is about 3 million per year.
Plus it is much worst as many other insiders have had Hugh sales look here = https://www.secform4.com/insider-trading/1830214.htm
DNA = personal piggy-bank for greedy insiders.

"POOR" and managers plan is to bankrupt this company
Yes "POOR" management keeps taking this company lower. When insiders make more than company sales there is only one way this stock can go. "POOR" has turned IDEX into a personal piggy-bank for greedy insiders.
lodas, I STO the Dec.15th $52.50 PUT collecting .80 so my cost would be $51.70 if assigned.
We should see more short covering before the Nov. 17th record date for dividends.
If you are short a dividend-paying stock, you are not entitled to receive the dividend and must pay it instead to the lender of the borrowed shares 1. The short seller must pay the dividend out of their own pocket 2.
Earnings report better than expected and $1.00 qt. dividend.

bar1080, did you cover your short position on IEP yet?
I was close to calling the low at 16.35 just off a few cents.
What I did last 3 days was STO-sell to open 11-03 $16.00 PUT which is optimistic play. I did 90 contracts and collected average .90 per share.
So if IEP closes above $16.00 on 11-03 I keep 100% as profit. If below $16.00 I will get assigned or forced to buy at $16 but my cost bases is $15.10.
I would be happy ether way but expecting IEP to close above 16 tomorrow..
I called the low today at 16.35 see tomorrow where it goes.
Looks like IEP will hold the 16.35 low and should start its slow move back up. 3rd qt earning out on Nov 3 will show loss but good guidance.
Ican has no choice but to really focus on turning IEP into great stock as he is by far major holder. 2024 shold be good year for IEP and has 23% dividend GREAT TIME TO BUY! IMO
The GSE’s FNMA & FMCC could be much more profitable if not directed / forced to buy mortgage packages that are filled with mortgages from those that are poor risks. Our government does too much to get those in homes that they cannot afford.
I would love to see more communities building blocks of tiny efficient homes 500 – 800 Sq foot. I have seen great efficient floor plans which could help for 1-2 Person efficient housing cost. We build too many large homes that to the average household are not affordable. IMO
I agree with how this managements has performed so "Poorly" One issue is cost of management as A "Poor" himself earns more then what IDEX reports as earnings. He has turned this company into his personal piggy-bank.
Their Proxy statement invites all to annual meeting but has no date mentioned - most likly they do not want any questions from shareholders. They also have a vote but failed to provide control number for shareholders to vote. I will vote NO on most.
they file their Preliminary Proxy Soliciting materials without the annual meeting date posted and has anyone received voting forms?
This company has turned into a personal piggy-bank for insiders such as "Poor"
I do plan to vote no on most voting questions.
the issue on DNA stock price is insiders have been selling almost dally and it looks like they have been diluting share value using stock to pay for their compensation. This needs to stop before DNA starts gaining value again.

I plan to vote no on most items including no vote for Poor and management
yes, in my MS E*TRADE it just posted.
IEP pays out dividend date is today Sept. 27th $1.00 per share - it is one reason pps has moved down to adjust for payout. I see IEP is close to bottom and should start it's move back up. I have started taking long positions but doing it through option plays for leverage.
JHD, it is true nothing is without risk. I only open those positions with a STO PUT when pps is close or below support on bollinger ban. I also time the strike date 30-45 days out right before dividend record date so if assigned I collect dividend and can turn around with a STO covered Call but only close to resistance area for max value.
There is a lot of very high dividend plays on company's with strong financials such as OMF at $39.00 and pays $1.00 per quarter, I am also doing IEP which got killed the last month but pays $1.00 per quarter on $20 pps which = 20% dividend play and in turn around mode.
Just looking at COOP no dividend yet, but I can see one in future. We should get 3rd quarter earning around Oct. 26 and I expect them very good - the Consensus EPS Forecast $1.87 last years was .57 so IMO we will see a nice run up the week before earning $60 plus. I will have some covered call orders ready. We are close to exciting times so COOP could explode even more - I do believe we will see missive news before end of year that will not only start a flow of $$ us estate owners are hopeful for but we will see the true structure of COOP - XXXX and the true parent who could be JPMC - yes as AZ state there are 2 parents above COOP
Lodas, with all due respect – yes I and most on this board disagree with you constantly telling all that there are no assets for estate holders.
Do you truly think FDIC and JPMC are going to come out and state sorry we wrongfully kept asset that we had no rights too keep? The assets are there and will come soon like magic.
IF YOU TRULY BELIEVE THERE ARE NO ASSITS – WHY ARE THESE STILL ACTIVE AND HOLDING ASSETS?

Yesterday Sept 25th was our anniversary's date 15 long years for all of us. FDIC should be close to closing receivership soon IMO
ARE WE CLOSE TO MARKET CORRECTION?
I follow many people smarter than me on where the market can go. I have read many warnings about corrections from Warren Buffett who has over 150 billion sitting in cash for next correction which he says is coming. Also, Jamie Dimon has stated the same.
Other concerns that could cause major corrections. It looks like Fed may still increase interest, our Government could shut down, Cost of US dollar will move down in value, Russia war and threat of nuclear, too many migrants costing US taxpayers big $$, too many Natural Disasters, high Debt, and many other issues.
I still see value in many stocks such as COOP but see resistance in the future as high interest will cause major slow down in real estate.
Note: I expect strong earnings 3rd quarter to be released around Oct. 26th I plan to have lots of Nov. STO covered Call orders ready in the $62.00 area. If my COOP stock is called I have moved a lot of my portfolio into high dividend stocks that pay 10% plus and use option to get high premiums and getting assigned right before X- dividend date.
Happy investing if you are on the right side of the market. Just be ready for a correction!
