New intel. Nvidia is sticking with copper cables for now and through at minimum 2026 and ayar labs is pivoting to AMD and looking to get bought out.
Reason copper still uses much less power and is still cheaper than optical transmit, almost a 20% savings compared to optical transceivers.

When you change one characteristic of the cromophore or host polymers it changes the whole of other properties related to performance that are unfavorable. I believe you can find the information you are looking for in some of my old posts. The diamondoid usage is essentially crosslinking. Something NLM was doing well in advance of Vaporwave adapting the technique. You also have ALD thrown in the mix now to encapsulate the molecule from oxygen and humidity. There are many technical hurdles remaining to commercialize this technology and quite frankly it may never happen. If they haven’t figured it out over the next 24-36 months it’s most likely not happening.
Bottom line: They can make one off devices that work in the lab but are unable to scale the technology reliably for meaningful for commercialization. Receiving wafers doesn’t mean Jack when most is unusable and not to spec.
It’s sad they have duped so many low information retailers for so long. Remember no debt. Why? How? Well no one with a brain or that did any real due diligence would extend them financing so they had to go to those who don’t do adequate research and have hope of getting rich. Shareholders here are in a death cult. When someone says they bought more, they are essentially admitting to drinking the Kool-Aid at this point. There is nothing on the horizon for the next 24 to 36 months at minimum except massive dilution. Imagine what 30 to 40,000,000 more shares added to the market will do to share price.
It is advised to short more as the stock disintegrates in a slow grind back to penny land and the pink sheets or the reverse split to remain listed.
Insiders don’t care as they keep cashing their paychecks. They have always done just enough with dangling carrots to keep the money flowing from market participants to their pockets. That ship has sailed as they have lost all credibility with the market. The boy who cried wolf one too many times.

NLM has their own EOP’s they have been working on parallel to Vaporwave and are a step ahead of per the grapevine.
Here is the take away. You’re not going to see any meaningful announcements here for at minimum 36 months. There may be some more rotten carrots tossed out in that time frame but nothing that’s going to stop the share dilution printing press. In 36 months they will be more than 2/3 the way through the newly announced shelf before this technology is even possibly commercially viable. If it even happens.

This award funds a 21-month project with AIM Photonics to potentially offer modulator components in AIM Photonics’ process design kits (PDKs) for silicon-organic hybrid devices on the institute’s 300 mm silicon photonics platform. These devices focus on low-power, high-bandwidth electro-optic (EO) modulation for datacom, RF photonics, sensing, and more applications, utilizing silicon-organic hybrid (SOH) EO modulators.
“This project will allow NLM Photonics to perform critical process optimization and scale up, enabling us to demonstrate that our SOH technology can be deployed at scale in a foundry-friendly, advanced packaging process module. Having SOH modulator PDK components available on AIM Photonics’ platform will dramatically expand access to this enabling technology for US Government and commercial customers alike,” says Dr. Scott R. Hammond, Director of Process Development at NLM.
This project involves multiple design and optimization iterations, including one or more multi-project wafer (MPW) tapeouts (submission of a validated photonic integrated circuit design for fabrication) with AIM Photonics, followed by a full custom wafer run to evaluate process yield and scalability. NLM will perform process development and optimization, and work with the AIM Photonics’ Test, Assembly, and Packaging facility for wafer-scale passive and die-level high-speed device testing.
“We’re excited to work with NLM Photonics to continue to advance this emerging technology, which ultimately contributes to the growth of the larger U.S. integrated photonics ecosystem,” said Amit Dikshit, AIM Photonics Design Enablement Manager. “This collaboration also directly supports AIM Photonics’ goal to provide integrated photonics designers and developers access to the most advanced, comprehensive set of tools and services to develop, build, and test their manufacturing-ready prototype devices.”
NLM and AIM Photonics are excited to continue their collaboration on SOH devices, building off an ongoing NASA STTR Phase I project. NLM was awarded an AFWERX SBIR Phase I in the spring of 2023 for customer discovery that led to this project.
