$HMNY Ted claimed on interview that MoviePass would be cash flow neutral in 60 days back in January. Watch the lies at 7:50 yourself... ??

Ted Farnsworth CEO HMNY Interview
Just three views (I was the third). Published in the last 24 hours. Enjoy!
Most likely good news.
IMO you don't bring in a doctor to speak unless you've got good news. An existing company spokesperson could easily do the job if it was bad news.
$ARGS The ESMO presentation went well and the study suggests survivability with MRCC. I anticipate this is what Dr. Figlin is going to cover.

On the contrary, Robinhood has opened the door to trading for anyone with a smartphone who normally wouldn't trade from commission aversion (e.g. cheapskate). Judging from the number of complaints on Stocktwits and the Robinhood forums, I'd say it's a fairly large number of traders.
Sticking it to Shareholders
$DCTH rush to OTC is likely a stab at Robinhood traders. By moving to OTC, they can force Robinhood traders to sell (that's your only option), potentially buy back more shares or through some sort of backdoor deal, and then do another vote to reverse split. It's just a guess, but I'm thinking a bulk of shareholders are trading via Robinhood.
I'm thinking they're doing it to reduce operational expenses because it's cheaper on OTC. Secondly, to give themselves liquidity in case they can somehow pull a miracle, because the pink sheets is much worse. And lastly, to stick the finger to shareholders... that last one is the most important one.
If they were going to file bankruptcy, I don't think they'd bother to go to OTC at all.
Either way, I liquidated my positions last week because this management team has proven incompetent. I threw in $200 about five minutes before end of trading today just for kicks and a gamble. Tomorrow's going to be interesting. We may or may not see a spike from short covers.
$VSTM Afterhours jump a cause for celebration or alarm?
Does someone know something we don't or is this manipulation? VSTM closed at $5.25 and last afterhours trade was $5.62.
Roche Acquisition of Delcath Systems
I know it's complete bull but someone posted a rumor tonight.
https://wallstreetwhispers.blogspot.com/2017/09/roche-and-delcath-systems-dcth_11.html
I'm not buying it, but nor did I buy the recent Jazz acquisition rumors of Aveo Pharmaceuticals posted by a no name journalist who can't spell on free PR sites. It even got picked up and spread elsewhere like Seeking Alpha, leading to a spike in the share price. If that taught me anything, it's that people will eat anything you throw at them.
GLTA! Hopefully this perpetrator will cause the PPS to move north.
This is clearly a case of people jumping on the hype train from the fake news rumor. I still haven't heard from "Peter Robertson" whom I wrote immediately after he posted those rumors on multiple free PR sites, but whatever. The price will drop back to where it was before the hype and that's where it'll stay until earnings report or new catalyst comes along. The real action will be phase 3 and earnings report showing a jump in revenues, or a real buyout.
AVEO doesn't need BS rumors from fake journalists who can't spell (and for whom has yet to respond to my inquiry--I contacted the so called reporter directly within hours of his posts). AVEO will move on its own without fake news and pump and dumps. Just buy and hold.
The sad part is shorts are selling. Then they'll cover low when the gig is up or interest wanes and weak hands sell. I pretty sure it's illegal to pump with fake news.
I actually loaded up another 2K shares today for 10K total. Don't have any Stein Marts in the region, but my wife is traveling and I had her visit one. She said it was clean, organized, and more upscale than Ross. Suited more for the middle class budget, though, and compared it to Nordstrom Rack. She forgot to answer me as to if it was empty of customers, moderate, or busy. Her photos showed a store that was well organized. Not sure if this was representative of all stores, but that was a good sign.
I'm just a bit worried having so many Stein Marts in the south in the path of two hurricanes won't do a double whammy on damages, prolonged dip in traffic and sales while the area rebuilds, and cost cutting from consumers spending money on rebuilding and housing. I expect with so many damaged homes and vehicles, both will be in short supply so the last thing they'll want to buy are clothes from Stein Mart.
Some idiot keeps posting fake news about an acquisition rumor to "free" PR and spam blog sites. Beware of fake pumpers who don't even know how to spell "pharmaceuticals" correctly. While I believe AVEO is a definite long winner, pumping the stock with fake news not only disappoints investors, but creates a lasting and bad impression and sets the wrong expectations, leading to lower PPS from weak hands cashing out at a loss and giving in to shorts who want to cover their positions low. Be smart. If it's from an unreliable source and sounds like a Nigerian Prince email, it probably is!!!
Not yet. I have alerts set. I'll jump back in when it hits low $3 or before earnings release. I'm definitely wanting to be in long for this, but right now it's a very bumpy ride due to high short interest and lack of catalysts. This is the lull between storms. Some idiot posted fake news of an acquisition rumor and now that's going to get some fools onboard thinking it'll go to $15 overnight. This is a long play. Anyone who thinks otherwise will be sadly mistaken. While I won't rule out an acquisition, I do warn against trusting any random internet post from an unreliable source.
Been watching and following Jones Soda for the last five years. No significant progress on their turnaround. Kind of sad to see the PPS at where it was then. I actually like their products and have visited their office, but the only time I can find it around these parts is around holidays when Target carries the weird holiday mini cans.
I warned ya'll back in 2014 that they was a fraud. They had a mailbox rental in a run down section of industrial Portland as their "corporate office"--and I paid someone to go there and photograph it for me. What a scam! The man inside had now idea who "sonnergy" was. LOL. I lost some money in this fraud also, but I sold and moved on. I'm sad to see ya'll been shafted and this board is still active after all these years.
I don't trade this junk anymore. Stick to legitimate, real businesses that are down from short pressure. Any good news will create a pop and you can cash out. No long term commitments.
Agreed! I'm in 7K shares. The dividend cancellation was a good idea. They're using it to pay down debt, which is something the likes of Kmart/Sears isn't doing and yet their stock is in the $7-$8 range. WTH? Market cap is around $60 million right now and they have 292 stores plus five more opening in a month or two. That's around a little over $200K a store...short interest has ballooned ridiculously in the last few months. Last CEO tried to attract millenials. WTH? Those kids order online only! Even I do for certain things, but not apparel and furniture.
I think we're bottomed or near bottom. I'm hopeful the new management and Bohan can help steer this ship around. Going to throw in another 2K on Tuesday. I see potential over the next 6-12 months around the $8-10 mark if management pulls it off and shorts run.
All the way to the bottom it looks like. 292 stores plus 5 more this fall, and market cap at present is under $60 million. That's just $200K each store. Either this stock is oversold and under valued, or it's a pig.
I'm trying to get back in below 3.15. LOL. I'll wait for a shorty to come along.
Bought in at $7.30. Closed at $7.60. Who's the idiot that sold for $7.26 after hours?!
Yes, but not until next week. I have a feeling shorts will hammer AVEO again tomorrow.
We don't know.
But what I saw was clearly short dumping. Even the cover was similar share count. I'm staying out of the blood bath until shorts are done, or I might trade and ride up the dips if shorts continue hammering AVEO. Lack of catalyst means us longs are at the mercy of short sellers and day traders.
I made 6% today on something else so that kind of made up for my AVEO exit. I'll re-enter in the upper $2 or low $3 range, depending on how this week plays out and where support levels are. Hopefully I can get in cheap before I miss the boat.
AVEO is attending (presenting) at the Rodman & Renshaw conference September 10th so look out for good news.
http://www.meetmax.com/sched/event_39839/~public/conference_companies.html?event_id=39839
I exited my positions in AVEO at $3.30.
I watched as short sellers dumped at market. Every massive dip is a short dumping large market orders. This is definitely no longer profit taking. I watched the same large orders cover the sell off at the bottom. It's clearly being manipulated and trashed. I feel mid $2 is solid support so any longs that choose to stay, keep that in mind if averaging down.
On the bright side you can follow these short sellers closely, buy on the dip, and cash out for small daily gains. You'll need good eyes or L2 to see when a dump is occurring.
I've set alerts for when the price drops to mid-upper $2 and then I'll re-enter AVEO then, hopefully before next filing. Pray the city blood bath will be over. Good luck to all!
Most everything in that article was generally accurate except rejection in UK. The NICE recommendation against Fotivda is just a draft and is not final. That will be further determined.
https://www.nice.org.uk/Media/Default/About/what-we-do/NICE-guidance/NICE-technology-appraisal-guidance/proposed-technology-appraisals/tivozanib-rcc-draft-scope.pdf
Being that UK is a big market to ignore, I'm sure they'll seek a reconsideration.
But the roller coaster will continue for awhile until the next positive catalyst. Here on we're at the mercy of short sellers and day traders.
For Longs...
Hang in there! Lots of revenue potential down the pipe. Just need to hold it until the rest area 153 miles away.
I could have sworn it was a bit lower last week.
Most likely those who got in during the last 2-3 months on the cheap. Otherwise it's shorting. Lots of sell volume in two massive waves. Essentially dumping.
Selling is all profit taking.
The 9 million or so that have been sold in the first hour today are mostly from profit taking. I doubt any shorts would mess with AVEO in the current situation. Having an approved drug with milestone payments in the $300-$400 million range plus royalties pretty much guarantees they'll get acquired in a year.
Some of that money is due upon approval (today).
No shares under $4 will make me sad. I was really hoping to triple down. Good luck everyone! I'll be up early for some premarket action.
I figured they might have been notified. Still hope someone rash dumps shares so I can get them under $4 premarket or at open. :) After everything I've researched, this is a long term play.
Tomorrow's an EU holiday, so if anything it's going to be Tuesday at the earliest. In any case, I was actually hoping to triple down and get more shares under $4. I hope someone dumps a bunch like an hour before closing Friday so I can get in. Anything under $4 looks good now.
@harry_crumb
You'd be surprised to know that Aveo's partner, Eusa Pharma, is Jazz.
https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/jazz-pharmaceuticals-enters-definitive-agreement-to-acquire-eusa-pharma-149121265.html
Lactose intolerance is personal to me so I'll invest knowing they're working on a drug treatment I'd personally be interested in. However, what's a good bottom? Thinking of tossing out a bid for $0.50 and just let it sit. Kind of like fishing.
Someone dumped a market sell for around 1.6 million shares so I got in on the dip at the same price. Good luck! Here's to the EC approval next week. I anticipate we can safely ride this rocket another $4-$5 before it runs out of steam once approval, reimbursements, and milestone payments roll in.
Who's investment?
The U.S. comparison is for analytical reasons. U.S. is the largest market for fossil fuels followed by China and Europe. Once you see that this is over 10% of the annual production being touted by a no-bid company, you quickly realize how silly it is and it explains the 242 million on ask right now.
Needs no explanation really. So I'm confused why you ask.
