Exciting times ahead!
…Who do you think it is?
To schedule a conference call announcing a major corporate matter one day before the event,
…when certifications and orders are accelerating, AR acceptance is growing in so many areas of the enterprise space and the military, a large IP portfolio, and being the only source of waveguides based in the United States,
…yes, I have strong suspicions.
I’m very much looking forward to the call!
Only strong suspicions.
I’m very happy with what is happening with VUZI, and with where things are arriving with AR / VR and all the unique variants looking to stand out in some way as well.
Even with excitement starting, this is still an area that is not comprehended by the general public, …yet.
Exciting times for sure, even with all the uncertainties, disagreements, hardships and pain, there is a tremendous amount of good in the world.
This still budding industry is ready to go, and VUZI is a great part of the long view.
Paul Travers and team have done a great job getting things going!
I intend to hold on to what I have in LQMT.
Great value opportunities appear as bubbles burst. I would say that all these markets are not homogenous and the timing and placement of capital will be interesting puzzles to solve.
Sometimes very simple, but interesting, none the less.
You do understand that we are at the top of the economic roller coaster?
How LQMT does will be very interesting!
This is a time when, in retrospect an economical collapses was obviously lining up, however, we don’t want to believe it. After all, things have been booming for so long!
Equities markets, real estate, the bond market and commodities to some extent are all in bubble territory. With inflation and the coming interest rate hikes this is going to be a challenging time.
My financial advisor is young and has not experienced this kind of pre crash scenario and tends to thing that we have a short term period of volatility in front of us.
Tough times ahead. They will be blamed on this or that, but the truth is we have been building toward this for a long time.
Amorphous metals development and industrialization is just begun, and will continue to do so.
The technologies of BMG will be carried forward by those who apply the energies to making that happen…
Looking out the window of the LQMT bus, the sky is looking stormy, however, it sure looks like prime time out there. Very exciting! I look forward to hearing the announcement from the driver about where we are and what our next stop is. It would be unwise to get off, unless it is for a connecting flight to profitability. It may be dangerous to fly in the impending storm, however, this is our time to move forward, and I am very excited about it! Should I stay on the bus, or should I fly?
That sounds like ready for prime time to me…
I like the Logo very much.
Much better, perhaps, for most of us to discover what is happening with BMG now than pouring our money and energies into LQMT and associated efforts to bring the obvious advantages of the material to market.
There is a lot of pain associated with a birth, also some danger. It is messy and perhaps the people close to it act rather irrationally.
Yes, perhaps as an investor it is better to discover and pursue this technology now, or even wait for strong implementation in the near future before diving in.
On the other hand, having been a part of something as important as this from early on is an experience and opportunity not to be missed by those interested in something more than money. The experience is priceless, pain and all!
That said, I still expect LQMT to proceed to bring honor to the family as a fully contributing member.
Some will understand this, but generally not the traders.
Amorphous alloy manufacturing is a very big deal. Much bigger than can be easily grasped this early.
That works for me.
I am not sure about the fires under snowballs part, but yeah…, long term should be more rewarding,
… however, I think that things will get very exciting, very quickly.
No.
…but there was someone posting long ago, who suddenly stopped posting. This was in the Turing phone days and the time of the Liquidmetal TM infringement flap.
Do you remember? The character went back and forth between being highly insightful and articulate to being laughably silly. Take a look a that history. He had done his due diligence and made his commitment.
The timing of all that was perfect and the source of “Li’s rumbling approach”.
Wrong material again, not BMG. Nothing to do with us.
I remember your optimism when first posting on the LQMT board. Was that 2006?
At the time I was drawing parallels between you and one of the outspoken Apple executives. Before Li, I became quite jaded to the company myself.
Are you a Liquidmetal “investor” at this point?
What has kept you here?
I have been curious about what keeps a lot of the posters here.
Interesting times, Tom.
One thing, …the volume will be up.
I’m pretty excited. This will be fun to watch next week.
Something more is up.
I have to say, I’m thinking of Gorgal (Sandy).
The “Gorgal and Watts Show” was the best!
Well, things definitely change from here.
What a shock!
Today is very exciting for me.
I look forward to hearing what Li is prepared to share with us. In particular, the stock holders who are so because of belief that the company is doing what it can for success on many fronts, and for a positive purpose.
I’m sorry about what has happened to this board.
May 31st for the industrialization expansion project. Extraordinary events.
Thanks, Pay. That’s very interesting
Thanks for that report. The train situation with regard to the amorphous alloy facility in China is fascinating. So November of 2021 for usable production space for BMG rather than December of last year, if I am reading that correctly?
It must be time to buy, then. Thank you.
Wow!, thank you
It has been entertaining to watch people struggle to grasp the importance of AR / Mixed Reality and smart glasses for the enterprise space, even with the obvious advantages.
The industry potential is huge, and once efficiencies are established using AR in business there is no going back. Paul T has been pursuing this vision for so long!
The acceptance of the technology for the average consumer will not be too far behind. In an ideal world AR would revolutionize how we work, socialize, learn and play, and would be simple enough to incorporate into the glasses (or contacts) that we use daily.
I hope we can handle it, ...because Broad Application AR is almost here for all of us.
Vuzix has dramatically more to report.
As acceptance for AR and hands free smart glasses grows so does Vuzix. This is a turning point for AR/ mixed reality.
Business is making the paradigm shift with regard to wearing technology on our face.
The benefits, especially for the enterprise, are tremendous with regard to efficiencies, safety, and expanded capabilities with information hands free. That is better than information at our fingertips!, which is what we thought was the ultimate, until this paradigm shift.
It’s getting pretty dang exciting! It’s been a long time coming, and has a LONG way to go.
Nicely said
Amorphous alloy weave?! Very interesting. In lower extremity prosthetics we laminate carbon fiber weave with acrylic modified epoxy resin to fabricate our custom sockets every day. I am intrigued.
I also look forward to BMG injection molded modular components to ultimately replace many of our SS and titanium components for external prosthetic devices. The increased strength and elasticity, the reduced amount of material needed for these components, along with the resistance to corrosion make the use of BMG for these functional parts a no brainer.
The amorphous metal weave I would like to know more about!
Don’t forget DMN. I am grateful to all of them
You said that very well! Thank you.
Do your own research and make your own decisions.
The advantages of BMG over traditional metals and processes are tremendous for many applications. The challenges of manufacturing metallic glass will be overcome.
Professor Li taking this on is what is necessary in making this class of materials become a reality.
Look at the challenges faced in the early production of aluminum, and similarly, look at the history of plastics. Amorphous alloys will make a huge difference in the future of manufacturing product capabilities.
BMG will continue to move forward with new alloys and manufacturing techniques and applications.
What companies (or other entities) are successful with it remains to be seen, but it is time for some of us to place some bets.
Hear, hear!
If the door mat does it’s intended purpose, then of course it is a functional product.
And if it is fulfilling its role in a system of other elements, yes, it is a functional part.
Fulfilling the intended purpose is the key
A functional part is: ...
a part that fulfills it’s intended purpose.
What’s the problem?
Is that fruit already?
...my, how time flies!
Looking forward to that!
Your balanced perspective is much appreciated, DMN. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us, as always
