Thank you very much for this. Anavex would do well to put you on the payroll for PR/social media ambassador. Keep up the good work!
Appreciate you taking the time to post this.
Great article. Thanks for posting it…
Not real enthused with AVXL dropping from a 52 week high of $31.50 to its current price around $10, but at least we are faring better than our potential competitors in the Alzheimer’s space. Here is their 52 week high compared to today’s price:
ALZN $33 down to 93 cents
ANVS $132 down to $12.56
CRTX $122 down to $3.82
LGVN $45 down to $10.95
SAVA $146 down to $18.43
The whole sector is getting crushed.
I had forgotten this stock also goes up!
Well, on the bright side of things, at least I can only lose another 47 cents per share. And I like bologna sandwiches…
Good point!
How about the AVXL margin call list?
That’s the spirit! I’m buying some more too!
Unlikely, but it would not really surprise me. Remember the great PR the Wednesday before Thanksgiving after the close? I’m sure he is aware some people aren’t thrilled about him missing timelines…
Only one share bought at that price…
Thanks for the link and the perspective. More important things in life than my account balance…
Avxl tracking very close to XBI which is down over 4%. Daily charts today look almost identical. XBI turns up, so does Anavex IMO.
Hmmm. Don’t need a kidney but probably will be needing a new liver if this doesn’t turn around here pretty soon.
A plus $2-3 day would be good for my mental health as well
Time will tell if I am brave or an idiot. Maybe both?
Market cap down to $84 million. I bought a bit more today. I am a bit worried - I think I am starting to like the pain…
Or maybe he is using reverse psychology on us. Given the timing of the CC, people are expecting bad news, so when he gives the traditional boring CC news it will seem like good news and we will be thankful?
I think you are right. I would just feel better about things if the conference call was scheduled for Monday morning. Anyway, I made the decision to hold my shares when this was in the upper $20s so sure not selling down here on no news…
I think that the price drop is due mainly to timing of the CC. It is so traditional for small biotechs to put out bad news (seems like mainly offerings) on Friday after the market closes. I hope this is not the case, but it makes me (and evidently a lot of other people) nervous. Missling knows this, or should. If it is not bad news, I have no idea why he would do a CC on the Wednesday afternoon before Thanksgiving. Should have waited until Monday. If it is really great news - still should have waited until Monday. A quick check of other companies reporting after the bell reveals AVXL, John Deere, and only 5 other companies I have never heard of.
Frustrating. Market cap down to a measly $104 million.
The good news is that we can only lose another $1.44 per share…
Agree in the power of prayer. Look at you - many on this message board though you might be dead, but here you are back healthy and posting again, LOL
"…I like to buy high and sell low."
Nature article dated today?

I’ll keep that in mind. Thanks…
You both are correct, really. The shelf gave me pause, and I too wish there was a bit more communication. What I do like is the science, the manufacturing facility and the chart and how it quickly popped above 3 a couple of times this year. I think this sell off is overdone. But still just a massive gamble at this point. With the greater risk comes greater reward. Or bologna sandwiches, which I happen to like.
Market cap down to a measly $142 million. I’ve been buying all the way down from $8 and I am adding more today. If it is down tomorrow, I’ll add some more then as well. Loaded with shares. If I am right about this company, I am going to eat lobster every day of my retirement. If I am wrong, bologna sandwiches…
Don’t care for the author so much but the article is good. He is probably trying to get my shares. LOL
It would be nice to see some good news tomorrow morning to offset the offering. Not the end of the world, here. Get the offering out of the way and hopefully the price moves up. Just bought more in after market...

Next short interest out on 3/9
Thanks for that info on NK. Very interesting. If Marker can become half as valuable (NK market cap $3.37 billion vs. Marker $140 million) I will be happy enough. I am continuing to add shares. We’ll see how it turns out, I guess.
It has been a long time coming. Never thought I would be so happy to see the price break $3.
That is good news. Thanks for posting. I wish I could pronounce it...
What you talkin’ bout Willis?
I just read through his posts-that is pretty funny. Remind me never to take investment advice from that guy...
I am with you. Bought some Friday. Will be buying today. Will either make a million in this stock or eat bologna sandwiches for the rest of my life.
Curious as to why you believe that this purchase agreement would create a “cap” of the share price. Yes, it is dilutive, but it would seem to me that with the right news/results, shares could be responsibly sold into the run and though they may be a bit of a drag on share price, not sure they would create a cap. To me, the financing arrangement seems like a better alternative than a secondary at these price levels...
