Chio appears to be one of the most stupid run companies in the world! Okay, after getting that off my chest and unloading over 50% of my holdings after the last lousy report, this is what I have to say. For one, they're talking about getting rid of everything except the segment that brings in by far, the least revenue. They never answer emails or phone calls, and up until this morning, remain virtually silent all the time. The top gun borrowed over a million dollars and used 4 million shares as collateral. Their inlish is atrocious! What more? Well, we heard today of the usual naked short causing all the problems. But, we both know that naked shorts don't go after smart, profitable companies.

So, maybe it will be a real winner. Otoh, why spend 20 million for electronic stuff and then sell the business...or at least attempt to? Too many unknowns with this one, including changing business plans (without telling anyone), not to mention a delay in their last q, stating there wouldn't be any significant changes. Well, revenues decreasing about 83% q over q, is significant in my book, bwdik? Anyway, maybe they can hire one of Bob's promoters, lol.

Hello CHIO people. I have been in this puppy with a small position for a while now. Was looking to accumulate at the .40's, CHIO has been relatively profitable the past year, until this latest report. This line kept popping up constantly:

This decrease is due to the fact that we were temporarily unable to obtain purchase orders from certain insurance agencies and insurance serving companies during the fiscal quarter ended March 31, 2010.

Does anybody know what happened last quarter that this would be the case? They state that everything is back to normal NOW, and that numbers will be back to where they used to be. If this is true, then CHIO is at a great discount now, but I would like to know what caused their problems last quarter. Thanks!

This is a pure value play. China INSOnline is a software development company with ~$20M in equity after goodwill is subtracted. The market cap at $0.49 is just under $20M. The business is insurance-related software for the Chinese market. Revenues are stable and profit margin is similar to US-based software companies of 20+%.

NASDAQ issued a 180 day delisting notice in December 2009 based on the stock being under $1. This means if the stock does not trade above $1 for at least 10 days then NASDAQ can delist the stock. NASDAQ also has the option to issue another 180 day grace period. The company is not in financial trouble (although it is reporting Q1 2010 late) and might be a candidate for an additional grace period.

If revenues remain stable CHIO could conservatively trade $0.75-$1.00.

Earning tomorrow after hours on CHIO. Took me 5 minutes to get a fill at .56 today (ask was .559p forever).

CHIO I am ready to remove it for the time being. The price action during the session formed a very strong candle pattern called a spinning top. This simply means it was a very neutral day with neither the bears nor the bulls making any headway. The spinning top shows that there is a lot of indecision in the market place. At this point, the price could head either way. Today’s open (if it is strong or weak) could dictate future price moves.

CHIO is listed on the NASDAQ. I am waiting to see if it will break recent resistance at $0.62 with strong volume. A break of that level could be an indication that the price will re-test $0.75. If I do get a position at $0.62, I would keep a tight stop-loss at $0.58.

I used several of hours doing research on CHIO and I really don´t understand why its so low ?

If we look on earnings pr. share @ 0.25 + PE Ratio = 3.20 , then I would say this should be around 2$ pr. share right now ?

If we compare CHIO with other stocks which have the same positive cash flow we would see that those stocks is around 3-4$ pr. share.

I have 50% of my total portfolio in CHIO and I´m holding them until we hit 2$.

Ive been a serious CHIO investor since november last year and im still holding.

The reason for this are :

Super strong fundamentals. Above 50% profit margin. No debt, positive cash flow, 60% insider holdings. Strong demanding insurance and online ad market. Forward EPS $0.25+ easy, trading only at 3 P/E ratio. CHIO is investor's dream, $5 baby = $0.25 EPS time 20 PE.

CHIO: China Insurance Industry:

The revenue of China’s insurance industry achieved 13.8% year-on-year growth to RMB1.11 trillion in 2009, exceeding RMB1 trillion for the first time. Property insurance business continued to remain leapfrog growth, with premium income 23.1% growth year-on-year to RMB 287.58 billion. As for personal insurance business, the premium income was RMB826.15 billion, with year-on-year growth of 10.9%. As a whole, the year-round payment of China’s insurance industry reached RMB 312.55 billion in 2009.

The total profit of insurance companies hit RMB53.06 billion. As for the property insurance companies, they achieved profits of RMB3.51 billion in total, turning from loss to profit. Besides, the life insurance companies achieved profits of RMB43.46 billion, bringing a remarkable business value boost. The entire industry realized investment income of RMB214.17 billion, with the rate of return at 6.41% or an increase of 4.5 percentage points over the previous year. There were a total of 22 insurance companies of which the capital return rate exceeded 8%.

By the end of 2009, the total assets of insurance companies surpassed RMB 4 trillion and reached RMB4.1 trillion. And the net asset was RMB390.46 billion, an increase of RMB109.74 billion from the end of 2008. The balance of insurance fund utilization was RMB3.7 trillion. Reform in insurance industry was pushing forward steadily. In particular, China Pacific Insurance issued H stocks in Hong Kong; the CBRC issued the pilot administrative measures for commercial banks to make equity investment in insurance companies.

CHINA SEEN GROWING FASTER IN 2010:

China's economy is likely to grow faster in 2010 than previously forecast and the central bank will raise interest rates twice during the year to keep inflation in check, according to a Reuters poll.

A survey of 23 economists conducted this week shows the world's third-largest economy will grow 9.5 percent this year, up from the median forecast of 9.0 percent in the previous poll carried out in October.

The poll coincides with growing confidence in Beijing about the sustainability of China's recovery.
