Some asshole driving on the wrong side of the road
Is everyone's life as fucked up as mine or am I somehow "special" or maybe shit happens all the time to other people and they just shrug it off....
So, moved into the new house, have to set up a network for the pewturs. I go to the store and options are wireless, which I have tecnical issues with, or the things you plug into the wall to turn your electrical system into a network.
Of course I opted for the electrical thing. Should have known better, I remember a OTCBB company inventing it years ago.
First day, the things work for 3 hours then just die.
I took them back to the store and had them exchanged.
Second day they worked fine for 4 hours then took out the electricity in the whole house.
5 minutes to 8, the store down the road closes at 8. I run to my car, drive faster than I like people to drive around here, make it just as they are closing up, and find some fuses.
Then I'm driving back home and what do I see coming at me.... Some asshole driving on the wrong side of the road. I slow down, slow down, this fucker ain't moving off the wrong side of the road, so I move off the road and park in the ditch. Gave the guy the finger as he passed.
I drive out of the ditch and continue on my way and... the sonofabitch had done a U turn, overtook me and blocked the road in front of me.
Guy jumps out of his car and comes up to mine and wants to know what my problem is.
My problem? My problem is you were driving on the wrong side of the road.
As soon as I opened my mouth it escalated matters. He said "you're not from here are you? I'm racist and I'm gonna punch you in the face."
I said "look, I don't have a lot of time, I have to feed my kids and get them in bed, so let me get out of the car and we'll finish this"
he walked away and got back in his car.
I think I'm a shit magnet.....
I'm kinda, sort of, settled in to the new house. France telecom fucked up a bunch of things, and those things are more or less resolved EXCEPT I am supposed to be at 20 meg ADSL and am still stuck at 1meg.
I WAS going to go out to their office today and bitch about paying for what I'm not getting, but first I wanted to check the account to check all the details....
The account says "tarrif: free" Next checked with the bank, they aren't taking any money yet... I think I won't complain for now..........
I don't actually need 20 meg so who cares so long as it is free

Drage ended up in prison on an unrelated deal, may still be there.
One of the few times ST being notoriously slow on these things benefited me. They just never delivered.
LOL, Urban word of the day;
May 10: stock douche
The guy that just happens to own every stock that ever takes off. A self-proclaimed Warren Buffet.
Brock: Hey Rod, you see WFR up 49%?? Trading at $25!!
Rod: Yeah.
Brock: I bought that like 3 months ago at 5 bucks... Put every dollar I had into it after I graduated Duke.
Rod: Awesome. Thanks for the tip... stock douche.
I'll need that contact info for KORE
All the fires of hell are going to rain down upon them, all because of 2000 bucks, give or take
Where the fuck is Churak?
I know he figured he got screwed here on KORE.
I created a thread for KORE and am contacting everyone involved in the deal, letting them know the have a couple days to fix it before I start contacting the SEC and naming names.
I think the accountants will shit bricks first, followed by the lawyers, the CEO is probably a criminal as most are anyway, so he'll probably play it cool. Strangely enough, I haven't tracked down an email for him yet
MXSV was a round up play I bought the day before the x date in 4 accounts - 100 shares was reversed but kept my 100 shares and sold all of them at 7.50. Nathan Drage their lawyer decides two months after the fact that we needed to own on record date and sends letter to berokers and we get our shares reomved so we are short and have to cover so I was up $3,000 on deal and they took alll of it - thankfully the stock remained at or about 7.50 because if had gone up. better scenarioi would of been for it to tank and i cover lower
Think it was FEMA or something like that, the last split I got screwed on. CEO knew people, no way to fix it how the LAW states it should be. It was whatever HE wanted.
Don't recall that one.
I'll make sure the fires of hell rain down on KORE if they don't fix it. Can't find a damn email address for them anywhere
ah yes MXSV reveisited

aw fer fucksakes;
KORE reversal of split
IB's records reveal that on March 4, 2010, your IB account purchased 500 shares of KORE @ $1.75. The company initially declared a 41 for 5 (8.2 for 1 stock split) forward split. This was processed into your account and you received an additional 3600 shares of KORE.
On March 5, you sold the position of 4100 shares at 0.40.
After the allocation was issued, IB received notification from the Depository that the split should have been 9.2 shares for 1.
The Depository took back the original allocation of 3600 shares indicating that there was interim accounting for the split. As you had sold the shares during the interim, the Depository declared that your account was not entitled to the additional shares.
On your behalf, IB has been protesting DTC on the removal of the shares. The status of this action now is that there is no indication from DTC that they will agree to resend the shares to your account.
Managament has reviewed this issue and at this time will not accept any liability for this issue as the decision was made at the Depositor, not IB to remove the shares.
Based on this, the 3600 shares which DTC has taken back will be removed from your account. Please manage any risk the resultant short position will create.
Went to pick up my daughter this morning and almost had an accident. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a cock.
Who the hell sticks their cock out at the side of the road?
Fortunately the rooster didn't try to cross in front of me, so I kept the car under control....
This is my daily pump of ACCA
I am only pumping it because I got my shares really cheap. #msg-46000587
I wouldn't actually want anybody to buy it on the ask unless they knew that the company would actually do something positive soon.
Since I don't have any inside information, I'll just be the moron on the ask, just in case someone is smarter than me.
CSGI dunno what if anything is going on there, but someone has been interested in it the last 4 days
Got a few in the pile from waaaaaaaayyyy back

I rest my case
I sent a lot of faxes from the company beside my house. Then they changed their machine and I sent a lot of blank faxes to a lot of people and got real pissed at people for not responding until one day I realized I needed to turn the paper the other way
I can't tell you how many faxes I get that are blank - cause peeps put them in the wrong way at the sending end. I shudder to think how many times I have done that...needless to say, I have no crackberry nor do I want one
our big copier can also act as a fax machine - I decided not to go there & stuck with our old traditional fax/scan/copier that is a desktop. I didn't want to move the phone line to the copier cause we also use that phone line to fill up the postage machine.
Used the "fax machine/photocopier/printer" at work the other day to send a fax to lowtrades to get MONEY.
Very sophisticated machine. I stood there with my thumb up my ass for 10 minutes waiting for the thing to warm up.
sheesh
I didn't really have my thumb up my ass, just a figurative way of speaking
Edit; the point is, used to be, you want to send a fax, you punch in a number, feed in the paper, and off it goes. 30 seconds wasted
I tell ya, it wasn't funny at the time...and yes, if this would have happened Friday afternoon, I would have been none the wiser cause it would have been "handled". The sad part is that the next time the same thing happens, I will have no recollection of this morning's events and will not have a clue what to do...rinse, repeat.
LOLOLL!
I am laughing so hard I am crying!
Don't you have a renewed sense of accomplishment! You figured it out all by yourself!
Had it been Friday afternoon, you would have bellowed to someone to help you, right?
Good job Chu!
I'm just glad it wasn't a big paper jam!
Oh and here is a tip. We also have a Canon and sometimes it says to add paper and there is already paper in the tray. Push on the door to make sure it's closed tight enough.
I need a place for a rant. This seems as good a place as any. Ever been under a lot of pressure @ work? Deadlines? Working goofy hours? Ok Wayne, not you but other peeps like Susie let's say. So you go into work @ like 5:00 AM. You are getting a lot done cause no phones ringing, no nasty emails when...BOOM...technology smacks you upside the head. Let's take the photocopier. Used to be a simple enough machine...right? Stick an original in, push a button and voila!...a reproduction of what you stuck in. Ever seen these new fangled ones? I think ours makes coffee AND will add a sugar substitute. We got this Canon somethingorother. So I'm in here at the crack of crowpiss, doing all sorts of shit. Copying, shredding, blah blah blah. Send (yeah, send) something to the copier for printing (printing? since when was it changed from copying to printing but I digress as this rant) when it decides that not only won't it make any more coffee...it won't print. Red error light is flashing. WHAAAAAT? You can't flash...I'm here all alone, a veritable Luddite when it comes to anything more complicated that removing a cover from a pen, and YOU decide not to fucking copy/print????? So I get up off my ass and very cautiously look at the screen to see WTF is going on - hope it just needs paper cause that I've figured out. And it says...
"Remove full waste toner bottle below & replace with new one".
WTF??? This thing has a garbage can in it? Don't the cleaners deal with that every night? WTF??? Who can I call? I know - I'll call Canon. Wrong - they closed @ 7:00 last night & will reopen Monday AM. Thanks for fucking nothing. Ok, which of the secretaries are gonna be up @ 6:00 AM Saturday? Answer...none. Calm thyself I say. K...gonna follow the instructions on the screen. Opening this, unhooking that. Everything is motoring along until it says remove old bottle & replace with new one? WTF? Can't I just empty the toner bottle & replace it with the same one? What a scam... Where the fuck am I gonna get a new toner bottle at this hour. Then I decide to start hunting around the office....and voila (that's two voilas for those counting)! After about 30 minutes of hunting & in the least likely place of all ie right beside the copier is a box with a "new waste bottle" written on it. I thought I was gonna come right there. Out with the old, in with the new, deposit the old on secretary's desk to get a new one & I'm back in business.
See ya!
well then maybe...now I'm pissed he didn't share
I believe this all happened a few years ago!
lol...no he left a few years ago
Is this why he left?
NEW: SEC staffers watched porn as economy crashed
April 23, 2010 6:48 AM
WASHINGTON (AP) — Senior staffers at the Securities and Exchange Commission spent hours surfing pornographic websites on government-issued computers while they were being paid to police the financial system, an agency watchdog says.
The SEC's inspector general conducted 33 probes of employees looking at explicit images in the past five years, according to a memo obtained by The Associated Press.
The memo says 31 of those probes occurred in the 2 1/2 years since the financial system teetered and nearly crashed.
The staffers' behavior violated government-wide ethics rules, it says.
It was written by SEC Inspector General David Kotz in response to a request from Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa.
The memo was first reported Thursday evening by ABC News. It summarizes past inspector general probes and reports some shocking findings:
— A senior attorney at the SEC's Washington headquarters spent up to eight hours a day looking at and downloading pornography. When he ran out of hard drive space, he burned the files to CDs or DVDs, which he kept in boxes around his office. He agreed to resign, an earlier watchdog report said.
— An accountant was blocked more than 16,000 times in a month from visiting websites classified as "Sex" or "Pornography." Yet he still managed to amass a collection of "very graphic" material on his hard drive by using Google images to bypass the SEC's internal filter, according to an earlier report from the inspector general. The accountant refused to testify in his defense, and received a 14-day suspension.
— Seventeen of the employees were "at a senior level," earning salaries of up to $222,418.
— The number of cases jumped from two in 2007 to 16 in 2008. The cracks in the financial system emerged in mid-2007 and spread into full-blown panic by the fall of 2008.
California Rep. Darrell Issa, the top Republican on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, said it was "disturbing that high-ranking officials within the SEC were spending more time looking at porn than taking action to help stave off the events that put our nation's economy on the brink of collapse."
He said in a statement that SEC officials "were preoccupied with other distractions" when they should have been overseeing the growing problems in the financial system.
An SEC spokesman declined to comment Thursday night.
About 16 percent of men with Internet access at work admit to looking at online porn while at the office, according to a 2006 survey by Websense Inc.
Former SEC spokesman Michael Robinson said he shares the public's outrage about SEC staffers who enjoyed porn on the taxpayer dime when they were supposed to be keeping the markets safe.
"That kind of behavior is just intolerable and atrocious," said Robinson, now with Levick Strategic Communications. He said he expects SEC Chairman Mary Schapiro and her team are "very focused on" the issue.
Schapiro has had other worries in recent days. She has been parrying Republican attacks after announcing civil fraud charges Friday against Wall Street powerhouse Goldman Sachs Group Inc.
Agency officials had hoped the charges would mark a new era of tougher oversight of Wall Street. They followed high-profile embarrassments including the failure to catch Ponzi kings Bernard Madoff and R. Allen Stanford.
But soon after Goldman charges were filed, Republicans began questioning the timing of the announcement. The news came as the Senate prepared to take up a sweeping overhaul of the rules governing banks and other financial companies.
Republican lawmakers also accused the SEC of being influenced by politics. The SEC's commissioners approved the Goldman charges on a rare 3-2 vote. The two who objected were Republicans.
Schapiro is a registered independent who has been appointed by presidents of both parties.
___
I found him to be a decent chap and actually pursued things quickly...figures he would leave the SEC
Oh yeah, I spoke to him once too. Possibly having something to do with ZSUN.
Guy's name was Brent Baker - I just checked my files
Ahh, ok, pretty sure my guy was in Salt Lake, he called in early 2005 I think. then left late 2006
I think the guy's name was Brent or Beavis or something like that
This was in 2001 - I never heard of you then...lol
The guy in Salt Lake, think that was the guy that called me. I must have given you his number
I never filled out the SEC complaint form - that goes into the general pool of complaints better known as the oval filing cabinet on the floor. As I said, I sent the entire documentation to a specific individual. I also had another contact in the Salt Lake City office of the SEC who was really a good shit but he left there & went into private practice a few years ago.
