In my opinion you are wrong. I say that with a two Nile in my eye. The stock first spiked a day or two after that good earnings report. Then that night the 3mil share secondary was announced.
Order of events in my opinion:
1. Good report.
2. Same day, Phone calls from VirTra to the 3 secondary buyers to confirm their interest and willingness and state the timing as eminent.
4. Next day stock spikes to 13+ premarket on extraordinary volume.
5. Secondary buyers short over 1mil shares each, likely total of 4mil shares, well over $10.
6. That night secondary is executed at $6 and the short positions are covered and the 3 buyers made all their money.
7. Over the next month all 3 secondary buyers sell any excess shares and are gone.
8. Stock trends up in anticipation of more good quarters ahead.
9. Down she goes as a lumpy one becomes evident.
Correct me if I am wrong. We had a random blowout quarter in 2021 and the same day or the next day, volume exploded 100x normal. We proceeded to rise high up toward 8 or 10 and Bob through a wet blanket over the fire by selling the 3 million shares at $6 bucks per in a private placement....after that we moved up nicely allowing those venture capitalists to sell their shares for a nice profit.....however it wasn't until the IVAS was announced as getting delayed that we started to tank. Add that to the war in Ukraine, interest rates rising and inflation thru the roof and it was a perfect storm for our ascent to the 12s to crash down. Correct me if I am wrong. But that's how I remember it. Let's hope this time is different!
We each have our opinions, perhaps yours is the correct one. 2021 will not matter if VTSI can push through and close above 12.20.
I still have 90% of mine. I have sold some into this current runup purely from watching it go up and down so many times in the past and not taking any action. I do believe this time is different, mostly because of the sustained volumes and accumulation, and because the company is more strongly positioned this time around.
So you can thank me when it continues to go up - along the same lines of me causing it to rain because I am the one that washed my car. Taking one for the team!
fish: The IVAS specultation had EVERYTHING to do with that run-up. There was no significant financial improvement to speak of. The most recent EPS that had been announced was $.05 (8/21), lower than the two previous quarters. The day it was announced IVAS would be delayed is the day PPS started tanking. Ferris was going on some investor podcasts at the time, I think guys you were crying about as being amateurs or lightweights. 😄
It briefly hit $12.19 on about Oct 11, 2021. The base of the chart leading up to that peak in 2021 looks better than the base leading up to todays peak, however, the look and volume of the current peak is far better and more secure than the 2021 peak. The company itself and its performance and CEO is also better now than then.
I still completely disagree that IVAS and Military prospects had anything to do with the 2021 spike. I also think the current run up has nothing to do with IVAS/military.
I do think this run will last and is due mostly to Axon’s entry into the space. Because of Axon, VirTras products will become mainstream and widely adopted.
Wasn't that actually late 2021 lol? It's been a long time coming. As I remember correctly, we were firing on all cylinders and then IVAS got delayed and we tanked. I hope this is the real deal this time !
We beat the high from the late 2022 IVAS speculation run-up. Sustained high volume this time - someone's accumulating.
Still got mine.... another possibility, someone/company might be buying a board seat... 😉
I have enough shares to matter for me but a lot less than at my peak. It is still a top ten stock holding for me, likely about #7 or #8.
I own all mine from way, way back. I may be donating a few shares to my church, but I’m committed to VirTra.
I own all mine. Never sold. Only added. Bring on 30’$
I own all of my original shares from 2006
I’m curious….how many of you still own your “trading shares”?

3 Stellar Stocks That Could Make You a Millionaire by 2026
Three exceptional stocks with the potential to turn investors into millionaires by 2026

Amidst economic fluctuations, these companies showcase their adaptability, strategic edge and focus on innovation.
-VirTra (VTSI): It launched V-XR, garnering substantial market interest and preorders across multiple sectors.
-RCM Technologies (RCMT): RCM has navigated market fluctuations and strategic shifts with sustained growth.
-Bel Fuse (BELFB): It showcases sales stability, diversified market growth and improved gross margins.
VirTra (VTSI)
To begin with, VirTra (NASDAQ:VTSI) launched V-XR, an advanced headset-based training platform catering to law enforcement, government, security agencies, hospitals, educational institutions and criminal justice academies. The new product received a strong market response, resulting in hundreds of inquiries and preorders, signaling substantial product interest and potential revenue generation.
Furthermore, V-XR’s extensive range of use cases positions it uniquely in the market. Its ability to focus on developing critical interpersonal skills provides value to various professional sectors. This fosters product interest and potential growth opportunities across multiple industries. The company uses AI-driven research and development to revolutionize content creation and data analytics processes. VirTra plans to generate realistic content and analyze training data by leveraging advanced algorithms and machine learning. Thus, the objective is to enhance the adaptability and effectiveness of its simulation training solutions.
Finally, the company reported significant bookings totaling $20.1 million for the first nine months of 2023, with a backlog of $16 million. This backlog includes various contracts that are yet to be recognized as revenue. Therefore, this indicates potential top-line and market-value growth, evident in VirTra’s historical revenue growth, delivering a 54% year-over-year (YOY) revenue growth in Q3.

Thanks Fish. Amazing how animals become part of the family.
Ha Ha, maybe a hat at $15, nice shirt at $20 and a sweatshirt at $30
It was directed at anyone smarter than me! 🤣 $25 is a good number, and the top of my original target from forever ago of $20-25. Thanks Fish!
What ya' waiting for Dibbs - I already have the hat.
So many false starts on VTSI over the years. This looks to be the real thing. Good luck to all.
Although you didn’t direct the question to me, here is my guess:
Today or at any time in next couple years it could be had for 6x revenue or about 20x Ev/ebitda.
Today that would be $25/share.
If they continue to execute well and grow I think the 6x revenue remains a reasonable guess.
Luckily for this scenario, insiders have no control since they own so few shares. If someone wants VirTra and they go public or hostile it will happen.
So sorry about your dog, very tough. Our dog of 13+ years died Nov 1st, about the saddest I ever felt.
$30 would be a beautiful day. Question for you smart people…what do you think a fair buyout be if that were in the cards?
Holding for 30$. I think it’s the real deal this time.
So tempted to sell this time, but really wanna know what’s behind the curtain here!
Wow! Just checked in on VTSI. Congrats to all long timers. Guess i should have remained faithful. Long time coming and deserved.
Agreed. I as well favor the need for cash as planned expenditures or even emergencies arise from time to time.Case in point: The wife's Service Dog of about 14 years had to be put down due to a severe spinal injury and now he will be replaced. Not chump change when you consider initial cost and training. Had to cash some shares.
I think it is notable that he registered to sell 120,000 and then decided to stop early.
I personally always put more "stock" into insiders buying... much more meaningful... like was discussed, could be any reason for selling
More important, great volume this week, and someone(s) willing to keep hitting the asks letting it settle then scooping up the asks again... classic accumulation by someone that knows what they are doing systematically... and I guarantee they don't plan on losing money... 😁
The sales were not option related as that would have been stated on the filings. He also does not have a sell plan filed with the SEC as that would have to be disclosed.
I suspect (hope) your third paragraph is correct. Simply needed the money for something.
The #4 answer may be as simple as Ferris having a bunch of options expiring (eg 10 years) so he did a cashless exercise of selling enough to cover the exercise costs of the conversion quantity. However if this is the case we would usually see the correlating acquisition notices as well.
He may also have submitted those sales in an insider sell-plan just to diversify his holdings for wealth management, and is now kicking himself with missing the run-up (exactly why insider sell plans are required in advance).
Or, maybe he is buying a new house and needed the cash. We will likely never know for sure.
Id say the main reason VTSI is going out of control is the leaked unexpected high sales of VIRTRA SWAG 😀
When this hits $20 ill be buying some swag!!!
Glad to hear you havent sold all your shares!
Didn’t virtra have a program with some maritime defense program a few years ago? Maybe the connection is with the ship attacks in the Red Sea and the increased training that’s likely going to be coming.
With the mystery regarding item #4 of you comments, I wonder if stop-loss strategy is paramount at this time even though various indicators suggest healthy potential. Such adventure!
Just some random thoughts….
1. Without the total 1 for 20 splits, current stock price would be 55cents.
2. If it doesn’t plow through $12, down she goes.
3. If it does go through $12, it could double or triple in short order.
4. Why the freak did Ferris sell shares recently?
5. If it’s above the current price heading into late March Q4 report it will be tough for me to hold through the report as I still fear a leftover Ferris lumpy quarter.
6. Relative to Axon and Wrap, VirTra is still undervalued.
7. Relative to most tiny public companies VirTra is way overvalued now.
8. What if they announce a big Military contract? Gonna go up a ton.
9. Sure wish a couple insiders would buy at this level.
to be transparent I sold 10,000 over the past few weeks. I decided to take some profit. I agree with you but the only issue that I keep thinking about it why Ferris some of his shares. He cannot be out of the loop that much for him not to hold onto his shares for a bigger payout. I still own alot of shares and if it goes to $20 a share I would not care about the $100,000 missed opportunity.
GO VTSI. - this should have happen 6 years ago
With the recent synergy between Bohemia (John Givens, Richard Brake) and Virtra, I expect BAE systems to be very interested.
Another acquisition in the making?
Another $200m? That's indeed 20 a share. Something is brewing, for sure.
been in since 2009. I would be happy at $20.
I do know there is a group of VTSI sharps that has a whatsapp group, and a couple of them do a tremendous job scouring governmental contracts, maybe they found something? Maybe we an acquisition target and some company buying in at these low levels?
I haven't been holding for over 13 years to sell for $20/share. I am looking for 40-50$ share!!! Market cap is stupid low right now we have a lot of room to grow. Let's beat that all time high of $12 and change that we hit a few years back before the IVAS got delayed.
Lol! Yes! The force of nature!
Been A LOT of good catalysts the past 12 months, and I believe the writing is on the wall that we gonna be getting some significant military work this year, and more people just becoming aware
Does anybody have any idea why VTSI is going out of control, in a good way? Just looking for a reason not to sell my shares
December 29, 2023 (Benzinga Newswire)
Lake Street analyst Jaeson Schmidt maintains VirTra (NASDAQ:VTSI) with a Buy and raises the price target from $9 to $13.
