Is the Sales Org being fixed or not? I’d sure like to see them fire Mulcahy and hire a big time proven 40 year old sales genius.
A couple RSM openings on VirTra website which suggests the revolving doors continue to churn.
Per public commentary, seems headsets are on the way. But idk why VirTra would choose to tie themselves to a public device which isn't publicly available and has a use case which doesn't directly map to their product. I'd hope they (a) partner with a product that already on the market and is reliable or (b) they build their own hardware.
For folks who have been around, way back in the day, did Bob build his own headsets?
Any chatter of Virtra / Vision Pro connection?
coincidence...my father is also 87. He's declining, hopefully get him on some catfish this summer, gotta keep it simple at this point, might be last fishing trek...no fly fishing for him or topwater casting for bass.
Name at gmail.com.
Happy to chat, but admittedly, nothing has been as research friendly as VirTra where I feel comfortable saying I have an information edge over others.
Hey Sharp! I was wondering if I could get in touch with you. Am impressed with your due diligence with VTSI, and enjoyed listening to you on ST. Am interested in what else you may be following.
Thanks, W... Trying to be strategic with VTSI... Surprised it hasn't begun to drift lower yet...
Another day, another "A"... The Rhein is beautiful! I'll have to make it out to PdC before my 87 year old father leaves WI... Thanks for sharing...
OT.
PdC...Prairie du Chien. Born there, raised there, left in 83 when I was 18 off to USAF. Get back once/yr usually. It's a very beautiful locale. Many years ago, my father asked a local German immigrant why he set up shop in PdC. He said, "it reminded me of the Rhine". I agree.
I hope you got a good grade on your report.
Does anyone recall when Givens said we might see military contracts show up? Was it in Q3? Or after Q3?
The other sticking point for me was that he thought Q2 would land lower than Q1 re Revs (I think he said somewhere between Q4 and Q1 - and I remember thinking, Wow, some actual, albeit vague, guidance!)
Someone reported both CEOs would be on May 30th... Have had it on my calendar...
IMO, the last Story Trading interview with the 2 CEO's was on 01 May.
Did I miss a more recent one?
I have the same question about the Story Trading interview... I think they typically release them 3 or so days after the date for nonsubscribers.
I am surprised at how long the volume has held. Expected it to drop sooner as it usually does. Yesterday seemed more in line with that.
I enjoy fly fishing - A River Runs Through It style. Been many years, though, since that happened. Ever make it to Prairie du Chefin (SP)? I did a report on it in 4th grade; have yet to make it.
Gordo,
I'm sure N WI fishing great, I grew up fishing on the mighty Mississippi in S WI where it meets the WI river. Which is best...oh the fish stories...
C'mon Virt, time for some awesome investor fish stories.
Great weekend to all.
I am a river guy, love fishing rivers. Been doing it my whole life, on foot, in boats. Rib River here in Marathon, Wisconsin River, Flambeau River, St Croix River, Mississippi River. Never fished the Pigeon though. Clintonville is about an hour ESE of me.
Did anyone listen to the recent Story Trading interview? Wasn’t their supposed to be one May 30th?
Used to fish the Pigeon River in Clintonville where my grandma lived. Friends used to head to Rheinländer.... Can't beat northern Wisconsin fishing!
Walleyes...fun to catch, tasty to eat. Jealous I am.
I’ve been up north fishing for the last two days….the mosquitoes finally drove me back to civilization. At least the walleyes were cooperative and VTSI recovered.
Hey fish, I was out fishing and missed the dip, would have loed to get back in below 7 on my trading shares.
Excellent buy….I wish I had been smart enough to do the same.
These steep dips usually get bought up. I bought at 6.70
I like your observation about big mess into manageable pieces. That is certainly true and I never thought of it in that way. It seems like an obvious approach but it is deceptively difficult to do it in practice. Givens has….and to Ferris’ credit he let him do it and is obviously onboard with the effort (evidence being Burlend).
Let’s hope the Sales Org fix is well underway.
Givens did good, like a real CEO should!
Capable, goal-oriented leadership serving results and misses for review.
Appears to be a team builder and willing to lead by example.
Set the proper course and then get out of the way.
Attitude... Without having an attitude.
Delegate power with duty.
The best thing that's happened to square the errors of the past.
Seems he's broken down the big mess into manageable pieces to remedy.
Only one CEO necessary, with monies much better spent rewarding sales performance.
The big mess is now in remission.
He still needs to take shareholder's questions.

A fine day
Solid uptick
Pray it will stick
I'm no poet
and I assuredly know it
but sha'nt pout
Twister, please help me out
Another good day, good volume, good price movement. Will May 30th provide another boost? Or maybe a big order announcement? Or perhaps a restructuring of Sales Org? Or maybe a PE group going over 5%? Lots of possibilities for catalysts to move this up and over 10 and then 20. Rah rah! Might as well celebrate the good days a bit.
Glad those 33k are gone in short order. I hope they get to buy back in higher.
fish: This stock is like chicken little....
"This is the time price goes up and never comes back". I just keep selling trading shares when I get a decent profit, been working for over 15 years. Just keep doing what works, until it doesn't. "No one ever went broke taking a profit".
Congrats!…in todays small cap market that is a great win.
I also think this, and I know it sounds crazy, paranoid, stupid….it often seems to me that until enough shares of a stock get into the “correct” hands that that stock cannot make a big move up. I think this sometimes happens because the correct hand is often a very big boy capable of holding a stock down until he has all the shares he wants. No way to ever prove it, just anecdotal observations over decades of trading.
My point was this …. Sometimes selling some shares is actually helpful to kick off a move up in a stock…..yes, seems crazy.
Full Disclosure: I sold my trading position yesterday, had accumulated sporadically in 4s and low 5s over the last several months. Still holding a decent amount long-term.
Premarket today (30minutes before the open) shows 33,000 shares for sale at an Ask of 7.35. It will be interesting to see if those get bought today. Would be a nice sign of strength to see those gone early. Low 8s by late day?
The stock looked like it was in a continuation pattern, nice to see it break out today.
That was a stupid move by someone to sell about 40,000 shares “at the market”……so they got what they deserved. The great news about that trade from a stock chart perspective is that it filled the gap!
Someone unloaded a healthy amount in the morning to take it down below 6.
Great questions, of course... Given what went on after hours, I thought we might see some higher numbers today - upper 6s and into the 7s. It's behavior throughout the day, though, was expected; high... Low... Back up...
Stock behaving nicely today. It does sorta surprise me though how it trades somewhat independent of company results. I mean, if eps were 15 or 35 would it be trading any different? Or if revenue had been 8 instead of 10, any difference? I guess it really is a story stock….for now.

Wow great quarter and nice market reaction here
I think in the conf call they said as of March 31st it was just about $19million.
What was "light" were the new bookings in Q1, they were only $4.4million.
The silver lining to the 4.4 is it ensures that Ferris/Givens will finally fix the Sales Org. In the conf call it sounds like they have already started making changes/improvements to Sales.
I think the $19mil buys them enough time to get Sales jacked up and producing so they don't have a clunker quarter.
Any mention of current backlog ?
Thanks anyone
PFC...Fish, hope you're low on your wags in future quarters.
I'll quote Homer Simpson--Woo-Hoo!
Well done on the predictions sharp and fish... great Q! Hopefully we get some good info in the coming weeks and in the interview the end of the month
NASDAQ says it hit $7.8.
Tomorrow should be interesting. A bit of a drop won't surprise me, but neither will $9.
I had a limit sell for half my holdings at $5.96. Glad the high was a penny short. Lucky!
Thanks, Utah! Just saw $7.66!
77k and counting. Best place for checking that I’ve found is nasdaq.com
I see it topped $7 after hours... Can anyone see after hours volume? Thanks!

I wouldn't mind being wrong like this more often
