Another tidbit is the filing of the Supreme Court of Canada appeal by the farmer is occur by the 5th of August this year. Report has it that there are only 4 farmers willing to go forward with it and this may be to rich for them as although it may delay the project it will not likely be successful.

There is light at the end of the tunnel and this week we are expecting new that will speak to the successful financing received pursuant to the Section 402 of the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act of 2009. This transaction will close upon the successful completion of due diligence and execution of definitive agreements between MATL and Western.

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 11, 2008) - Tonbridge Power Inc. (TSX VENTURE:TBZ) 100% shareholder of Montana Alberta Tie Ltd. ("MATL"), a company developing a transmission line project to interconnect the electricity markets of Alberta and the United States through a 300 MW transmission line between Lethbridge, Alberta and Great Falls, Montana (the "MATL Project"), is pleased to report that the US Department of Energy, ("DOE"), working with the Montana Department of Environmental Quality, ("MDEQ"), have issued a draft Environmental Impact Statement, ("EIS"), and have now filed this document with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, (EPA). The company has been informed by the DOE that the EPA will publish a Notice of Availability in the Federal Register on Friday February 15 from which point the draft EIS report will be subject to a 45 day public comment period that will include three days of public hearings and will end on March 31, 2008. The hearings will take place on March 11, 12 and 13 in Great Falls, Cut Bank and Conrad respectively. The DOE and MDEQ will issue a final EIS after considering the comments submitted during the public comment period. The DOE and MDEQ are expected to issue their Record of Decision 30 days and 15 days after the issue of the final EIS, respectively. Once the Record of Decision is released, the remaining US regulatory permits required for the MATL line can be issued.

The issuance of this draft report removes significant uncertainty from the regulatory timelines associated with the MATL project as the MDEQ had previously issued an environmental study a year ago. When additional concerns about the project were raised in the comment process, the DOE determined that a second, more thorough, review was required. The issuance of the draft EIS signals the end of this process with the US regulators and puts Tonbridge on track to obtain all of its regulatory approvals in the first half of 2008.

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 1, 2008) - Tonbridge Power Inc. (TSX VENTURE:TBZ) 100% controlling shareholder of Montana Alberta Tie Ltd. ("MATL"), a Canadian company developing a transmission line project to interconnect the electricity markets of Alberta and the United States through a 300 MW transmission line between Lethbridge, Alberta and Great Falls, Montana (the "MATL Project"), is please to announce that the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board,(EUB), has issued a conditional approval for MATL to construct and operate its proposed 230-kilovolt (kV) power line for the purpose of importing and exporting electricity.

This approval designates authority to proceed with route finalization within the preferred route along the approved corridor granted by the National Energy Board, (NEB), in its decision of April 2007. The process from which this decision resulted included a public hearing in Lethbridge held from October 31 to November 21, 2007 in which several affected stakeholders were able to present their evidence.

In order to comply with the conditional elements of this approval, and consequently receive its permit, MATL must comply with conditions set out in section 11 of the decision and report back to the EUB about this process by April 30, 2008. These conditions direct MATL to engage in further discussions with affected landowners along the approved route to address the mitigation of specific impacts. Once these conditions are met the EUB will issue MATL its final permit.
