The article I posted says that they collected the 3,000 tons in november. Why do you think that is incorrect. I'm genuinely curious. Also, don't all sea going vessels live their entire life in saltwater? Does it matter if they are moving or at anchor? Also, they cannot do anything else until they get permits to collect more nodules. What would you have them do? Honestly, I really want to know.
Sooo, we either own not enough of that great stock or we own too much of that SOB. I ask what person are you when it comes to the metals company? Do you own too much or not enough?
The company does not own that vessel. One must be able to read. TMC leases the vessel from the vessel owner through a mixture of cash and shares…
Convertible shares…
I wish!
Anyone wants to sell me your shares for $0.01, PM me and I'll take them all.
Thanks for the list of assets the company has. An old rusty ship, a hammer, and three rusty bent nails. I would assume after that eye opening press release this will drop to less than ten cents tomorrow.
I believe the collection was later September finishing mid October. I (think) the vessel has been parked in the same location since end of October or very beginning of November 2022.
I did not see that the vessel docked so one is led to believe whatever they lifted from the floor of the ocean, it is still on that vessel.
Meanwhile the vessel sits, rotting rusting in the sea water living off the anchor, and vessel owner being paid in shares of TMC…
In my humble opinion
The abandoned rusting away decrepit vessel collected 3,000 tons of nodules in november.
https://investors.metals.co/news-releases/news-release-details/nori-and-allseas-lift-over-3000-tonnes-polymetallic-nodules/
The maritime industry classifies the vessel as a “drill ship” though a better description would be “abandoned rusting away decrepit vessel” might be more applicable at this point, in my opinion.
There is absolutely nothing gained by leaving any vessel in open saltwater for a year or so.
And, then owner of the ship is being paid partly in shares, so expect the O/S to be blown out paying for the abandoned “drill ship” even though it’s a glorified vacuum cleaner.
In my opinion
Watch it rust https://www.vesselfinder.com/vessels/details/9445150
Thank you for your input, however as a trader we know that Scams tend to relate to nice profits. Also I was not aware of the geographic location of the vessel .
Happy Trading
The ship has been at anchor, almost abandoned off the west coast of Mexico for almost a year. This is halfway around the world from the Orca attacks off Spain Portugal…
Interesting correlation - have there been Orca incidences in the Pacific as well?
I have been closely monitoring this particular stock since it was priced at $0.66. However, due to the recurring incidents of killer whale attacks on boats, I find myself contemplating whether this company's ocean mining activities are disturbing the whales.
Where do you see anything from Jim? Nothing public that I can find.
Hello all. I’m new to researching this company and this niche sector. I found it from the Jim Rickards publication. I’m very intrigued and have a feeling the pop today is due to the upcoming July deadline for developing regulation. Seems like we should be thanking the government of Nauru for that one.
TMC does not use a "Drill ship". More like a vacuum. If you care
Drill ship still parked, rusting away like this stock promotion

Sitting for almost a year ? Not moved. Rusting away daily
Wow, you added at a great time!

Drill ship “Hidden Gem” is still at anchor, hell maybe abandoned, where it has sat at anchor for over 7 months off the coast of Manzanillo, Mexico. Who leaves a vessel anchored for 7 months ? It’s expensive too and also not very good for the vessel and the equipment machinery on and within the vessel.

The boat has been parked, offshore the coast of Manzanillo since Nov 15, 2022.
It is a protest magnet https://maritime-executive.com/article/protestors-demonstrate-as-deep-sea-mining-vessel-completes-trial
Possible scam in the making, in my opinion, based on what I have found so far.
They (TMC) are renting a ship (per their public filings) paid for by cash and convertible stock. Last I saw the ship was and has been anchored off the west coast of Mexico, just chillin
All Seas “Hidden Gem” anchored off the coast of Manzanillo

Just starting my research on TMC because it was being promoted as a pop up ad on iHub. What GITMO attention was the typical low resolution photo of the drill ship. I quickly found it and know a lot about the boat.
The owner of the vessel is AllSeas, totally legit with a specialized fleet
Here is the vessel - https://allseas.com/equipment/hidden-gem/
Yes, thank me, I saved one hours
Sure, I agree with you, as a speculation to buy for a dollar and sell for 5 sounds sweet! But is it a long term investment? Do they have the equipment to acquire and store and process. We're talking 100s of millions (billions?) of dollars needed before it makes $1.
There is gold in every drop of ocean water. However, it takes about $30,000 an ounce to get it, many great sounding ideas just aren't practical.
The day it becomes legal to mine their claims...this should easily pass $5!

Look at my profile you will see I enjoy picking risky stocks. You MUST study these type of company's before investing in them. You should not invest more than you can afford to loose.
In 1997 I invested $1800 to buy 100 shares in an unknown company called AMAZON. I also held shares in a pharm company symbol ARNA (Arena Pharm) at $4/share. It was bought out by one of the big Pharm company's for $100/ share. Risk should be my middle name. I am old and will leave my grand children enough to start out in life with a bundle behind each. Yes I have taken losses also but from each I learn enough to try to not get slammed on a big loss. Never criticize a company that has a good idea to start a company. I ran my own company for 35 years and started it on $100 and in 3 years turned it into over a million in sales each year which allowed me to retire under 50 years of age. Hopefully TMC will be another AMAZON.
Has TMC got the necessary ships etc to harvest underwater resources? I see permits have been held up, stock dilution has been crazy and cash burn last 4 quarters 100 million. Why in the world would anybody gamble with this?

Well that is bad news !!! Even the French who by the way wanted to invest so many Billions are now against it.
What did I miss here ? What happened for them to change their mind so quickly?
found it.
The International Seabed Authority, a United Nations observer organization, is drawing up a regulatory framework for deep-sea mining based on data collected from explorations conducted by TMC and other ventures to inform its decisions.
However, the prospect of such mining is coming under criticism. Most
recently, French President Emmanuel Macron specifically called for the prohibition of seabed exploitation during November's United Nations COP 27 climate change conference in Egypt. Previously, Germany, New Zealand and multiple Pacific nations have also called for moratoriums.
The ISA is expected to meet member nations in March, when deep-sea exploration and its regulations are expected to be discussed.
Edit-
Who is making this decision and when next month?
How can we track it?
Could be a nice run up to the decision.
