First things first. His immediate problem is not dying from two gunshots fired into him point blank by the FBI.
The saga's almost sure to be American Greed material in a year or two.
Thank you! That’s a freaky incident, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas….
Did they ever decide if he was actually running a Ponzi Scheme?
This person restored faith in humanity.
A New York City good Samaritan proved that chivalry isn’t dead after she discovered a wallet containing thousands of dollars in Times Square — and got it back to its rightful owner.
The noble deed occurred Wednesday morning while Honduras native Eduardo Martinez was walking through the tourist-inundated area to get to work, NBC New York reported. During his commute, the man reportedly dropped his wallet, which contained $4,000 cash along with standard wallet items, near Broadway and 49th Street.
Upon realizing what had transpired, the panicked man returned to the crowded area, whereupon he was approached by two police officers. They explained that they’d been given a wallet by an unnamed woman who had been commuting to work at the same time as Martinez.
After verifying his identification, the cops reunited the relieved fellow with his money pouch, which, incredibly, still had all the contents inside, including the four grand.
Martinez said in Spanish that he’s grateful to the cops and the woman who returned it to him, adding that their act of kindness proves that there are still honest people in the world.
.
Veronica. Ever heard of a Ponzi scammer/lawyer being_shot (twice) by the authorities? Skim some of the posts yesterday on the DD board. The lawyer is Matthew Beasley of Vegas who is recovering (???) from FBI bullets in his shoulder and chest!
This scam was brought down by shorter company Hindenburg Research, who will probably walk away with a much deserved million dollar SEC Whistleblower reward.
When you get an hour or so wade thru Hindenburg's full report on J&J purchasing. Simply brilliant stuff.

lol!! That’s hilarious, I applaud her for being so clever! Unfortunately there are a lot of scammers out there, but no one will be able to take advantage of her - she thinks fast on her feet. It’s a shame that they try, evidently due to her age.
Someone called me to ask for a donation, claiming to be from the Sheriff’s office. I called the Sheriff’s department, he said they never solicit for donations and to never give out personal information (which goes without saying), but good advice nonetheless.
"73-year-old grandmother outsmarted scammers who pretended to be her grandson and said he needed $8,000 to be bailed out of jail"
Ever got one of these calls? I have. Lotsa fun to play with.

That’s accurate, CACH is not attracting anyone. My wish is it’ll be (#1) suspended or (#2) go to gray sheets. I’ll be pleased to see many of the dark pump-n-dumps waste slowly away.
I've long followed the defunct Cache Inc because I remember its shops when they were in operation many years ago. It wasn't much of a business even at its brief peak.
Surely there are more interesting long shot stories and scams. I wouldn't waste my time posting there. CACH with 71 board followers isn't attracting many suckers.
Thank you, I used it on some of the boards I post on. It elicited this response regarding Rule 15c2-11, which of course makes no sense:
CACH DD=Debunking the BULLSHIT!!
# No one is falling for the "SEC STORY"
LMAO
If that was the case we would have volume.
Most scared retail has left the building.
Still well over 3 million shares of CACH
Are in NSS!!
That will be covered as the naked ones
Don't want to have to pay A DOLLAR A SHARE FOR THEM.
Stay Thi Sty,
You've probably seen this, but here's the latest TDA list covering about 1900 caveat emptor and similar OTC stocks. It's dated Sept 7, 2021.
https://www.tdameritrade.com/retail-en_us/resources/pdf/TDA101550.pdf
lol!! Thank you and I echo your sentiment, I cannot wait until the 28th!
Here's an IHUB board created for finding rare brokers who might handle trading in such stocks after the 28th. Posters aren't having much luck, which is wonderful.
https://investorshub.advfn.com/Brokers-that-allow-Caveat-Emptor-OTC-stocks-39217/
I tested my own brokers to see if they'd accept an online order for a No-Info OTC and I was presented with a phone number to call. That's as close as I've ever come to buying a penny stock. LOLOL.
Can't wait until the 28th.
My gosh, yes. Some of the boards are down to a trickle of posts since Etrade, TD Ameritrade, etc. will only accept orders to liquidate positions.
I’m also seeing denial of the September 28th regulatory enforcement date, claiming it’ll never happen. Like if you deny it, it’ll all go away.
One of the boards I follow was an SEC registrant, but the Nasdaq filed a delisting determination, and now they trade on the OTC with literally no one running the company. The transfer agent says they filed Chapter XI Bankruptcy in 2015, and their services as TA were discontinued since 02/24/2015. Yet it continues to trade thinly while there are constant claims of millions of naked shorted shares, counterfeit shares, phantom shares, shares are locked up, or any other of the nonsensical names given to stock trading on the OTC.
I cannot wait for the SEC to stop the insanity.
Hi Veronica. Are you seeing falling traffic on IHUB boards for CE/No-Info type pennies as Sept 28th approaches?
This is a Good Samaritan:
Hair-raising footage released Monday shows the moment an Indian railroad employee rushed to save the life of a child who had fallen onto the tracks. The CCTV video, posted to Twitter by India's Ministry of Railways, showed a station worker at Vangani Station in Mumbai sprinting to rescue a child as an oncoming train sped towards them.

A great day, hope everyone is doing well.
No worries, skip!
Seems like scammers last chance. Thank you for the information!
Sadly , the fraudulent trend will only get worse near term . IMO
So many low life otc sleazeballs , so few deterrents.
Snitch too?
He just put frosting on his updated resume!
It’s in the final rule, long but informative. I’ll enclose the short & long version:

Do you know when the grace period ends
on new otc rules for
MMs to comply?...
If you read the whole pdf
of 188 or 311 pages or ever
how many there were, you
might know...way too many...
And could better judge how
long otc trading volume
increasing could last...
More of a review than
a promotion...
So we watch...LJ
hint, get about 2/3rds thru
long pdf and find one small
paragraph on grace period...
Sorry, I’m not into promoting OTC scams, it’s just not my thing.
I don’t believe the Gov't wants to take anything away, they’re merely enforcing the rules, including 15c2-11.
Wild, wild, west, OTC only has until September
for old cowboys to push
the herd around the range...
Then the Gov't wants to
fence it in and take away
all the Free Grazing...
Make hay when sun shines...
So we watch...LJ
It’s an OTC bubble for lack of a better phrase - a giant P&D of dark /defunct / Shell companies. It will burst imo, the SEC’s Final rule 15c2-11 says they must have current information.
Why are these sub penny stocks moving up these past 3 months?
I just tried to access OTCMarkets.com, but I’ve been receiving this maintenance page for the last hour. It states the site will be under maintenance until AUGUST 11?? lol, that’s a bit long, no? I just checked and the last time August 11th was on a Sunday was 2019. smh
Edit: The site is back, maybe not better than ever, but at least it’s operating.

It appears Giguiere May have added to his list of dirty deeds: securities fraud, manipulative trading, criminal forfeiture, and Snitch.
Bust filthy mouthed insider sleazeball j jack gordon.
Lock scumbag gannon up.
No worries! I was just reading about the antics of Gannon Giguiere, Conman extraordinaire! As the charges grow, it appears he’s turned into “the cooperating individual”. He was already charged with securities fraud, manipulative trading, and criminal forfeiture. Perhaps he worked out a deal to cooperate....of course his partners in crime would be busted in order to allow Giguiere some concessions.
Too bad since the SEC says he gained $10M off the scams. The good part is his Ferrari was seized by the government and his $6-$7M beach house was sold.
He’s currently awaiting sentencing.
Very good information regarding what low life dirtbags play ignorant to...
Second, the complaint alleges that in 2016, Sripetch, and Knight engaged in manipulative trading by executing matched trades and wash orders to create a fictitious, attractive price and volume trading history to prime the market in advance of a promotional campaign for a microcap stock.

SEC Obtains Emergency Asset Freeze, Charges Ring of Microcap Stock Manipulators Targeting Retail Investors
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
2020-218
Washington D.C., Sept. 23, 2020 —
The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced that it has obtained an asset freeze and other emergency relief to halt a series of microcap market manipulation schemes that defrauded retail investors.
According to the SEC’s complaint, from 2013 to 2019, the defendants engaged in various schemes to manipulate microcap stocks and defraud retail investors, obtaining a total of over $6 million in illicit profits.
First, as alleged in the complaint, from at least 2013 to 2017, defendants Ongkaruck Sripetch, Amanda Flores, and Brehnen Knight with assistance on certain occasions from attorney Ashmit Patel orchestrated numerous fraudulent “scalping” schemes. According to the complaint, they purchased stock in over-the-counter issuers through various entities that they controlled, funded promotional campaigns recommending that investors buy those stocks, and then sold the stocks when their price and trading volume were inflated by those same unlawful promotional campaigns. The complaint also alleges that, from 2013 to 2016, Sripetch and Flores along with Dominic Williams and several entities controlled by Sripetch sold over 24 million shares of a microcap issuer they controlled and promoted. According to the complaint, these sales were not registered with the Commission or exempt from registration.
Second, the complaint alleges that in 2016, Sripetch, and Knight engaged in manipulative trading by executing matched trades and wash orders to create a fictitious, attractive price and volume trading history to prime the market in advance of a promotional campaign for a microcap stock.
Third, the complaint alleges that in 2018 and 2019, Sripetch and Knight along with Michael Wexler and Andrew McAlpine, planned and implemented pump-and-dump manipulations of the stock of a microcap issuer controlled by Wexler. According to the complaint, Sripetch and McAlpine were able to sell approximately 340,000 shares before the SEC suspended trading.
“As we alleged in the complaint, the defendants created a sophisticated network that enabled them to engage in multiple fraudulent schemes, making millions of dollars in unlawful profits at the expense of retail investors,” said Richard Best, Regional Director of the SEC’s New York Regional Office. “Among other things, the emergency relief we obtained will prevent defendants from doing further damage to these investors, and require them to provide an accounting.”
The SEC alleges that Flores, Knight, Sripetch, McAlpine, Wexler, and their companies, Adtron Inc., ATG Inc., DOIT Ltd., Doji Capital Inc., King Mutual Solutions Inc., Optimus Prime Financial Inc., Orca Bridge, Redline International, and UAIM Corporation violated the antifraud provisions of the federal securities laws and that Patel aided and abetted certain of those violations. The SEC also alleges that Knight and Sripetch violated the anti-manipulation provisions of the federal securities laws and that Sripetch, Flores, Williams, DOIT, Doji, Optimus, Redline, and UAIM violated the registration provisions of the federal securities laws. The SEC seeks permanent injunctions, disgorgement plus prejudgment interest, civil penalties, and penny stock bars against the individual defendants as well as officer-and-director bars against Knight and Flores.
The Honorable Marilyn L. Huff of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California granted the SEC's request for a temporary restraining order and other emergency relief against defendants Sripetch, Flores, Knight and Patel as well as an asset freeze against Sripetch, Knight and Patel. Judge Huff scheduled a hearing for Oct. 5, 2020.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California yesterday announced criminal charges against Sripetch, Wexler, Patel and McAlpine in a parallel criminal case.
The SEC’s investigation was conducted by Kristine M. Zaleskas, and Michael Paley in the New York Regional Office. The litigation will be led by Christopher J. Dunnigan and Ms. Zaleskas. The case is being supervised by Lara S. Mehraban.
The SEC appreciates the assistance of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and the Alberta Securities Commission.
Thanks for the heads up!
I’ve become aware of these serial P&Ds. We should add EVTI and TPAC to the list. Both of those are SEC Registrants that are severely delinquent In their filings - TPAC 2017, EVTI 2015. In addition, the EVTI CEO was charged with Fraud.
I’ve filed a complaint with the SEC, Unfortunately that sometimes takes months/years to get an investigation going.

Ah, that $30m Hollywood scam had CV-19 angle.
"Aviron Pictures Founder William Sadleir Arrested In $1.7M COVID-19 Scam"
"The ousted chairman of Aviron Pictures was arrested Friday on federal fraud charges for using $1.7 million in the federal government’s coronavirus-relief Paycheck Protection Program funds for his personal use."
"According to the affadavit, authorities have linked Sadleir to the three PPP loan applications made on behalf of the three Aviron entities. All three applications claimed each company had 33 employees and monthly payroll expenses of well over $200,000. On April 30, JPMorgan Chase approved the loan applications, and the next day money was wired to nearly-empty JPMorgan Chase bank accounts associated with the three entities."
"DOJ said Sadleir allegedly obtained the forgivable loans by falsely representing that the funds would be used to support payroll expenses, when, in fact, Sadleir intended to use and did use a significant portion of the funds for personal and non-business-related expenses."
"Following a late 2019 lawsuit alleging impropriety in the company structure, Sadlier exited from his role as the operating manager of Aviron Pictures, a subsidiary of Aviron Group, in January of this year. The feds said people associated with Aviron told investigators that Sadleir currently had no role in Aviron Pictures or the related entities. The affidavit notes that Aviron Group, Aviron Licensing and Aviron Releasing are not engaged in any ongoing operations."

"Hollywood CEO charged with $30M fraud." Bought mansion.
"... William Sadleir, 66, is the former chairman and CEO of Aviron Pictures, a production and distribution company that participated in seven movies between 2015 and 2019. He’s accused of engaging in two fraudulent schemes related to a $75 million investment that BlackRock Multi-Sector Income Trust made in Aviron.
"Sadleir used $14 million from the funds to buy a Beverly Hills home.
"He’s charged with two counts of wire fraud and one count of aggravated identity theft. In a separate case, the Securities and Exchange Commission also accuses Sadleir of violating antifraud provisions of securities laws.
“We allege that Sadleir raided millions from BIT and its investors, and rather than using those funds for investment purposes he spent them lavishly on himself,” Adam Aderton, co-chief of the SEC’s Enforcement Division Asset Management Unit, said in a statement."
"Aviron has had a tough time in the movie business. Its most successful title, “Kidnap” starring Halle Berry, cost $21 million and took in $34 million worldwide. Other titles like 2019’s “Serenity” netted just $40 million at the box office on a $49 million budget, and 2018’s “A Private War” lost money compared to production costs – costing $18 million to make but earning just $3.9 million."

Fantastic. Thanks.
Uh oh! Looks like some promoters may be in big trouble.
Wowser, IHUB and IHUBers mentioned ten times in SEC doc!!!

Yes! And not only is it a certainty the so-very-special stock (take your pick) will go to the moon, all other traders should buy it too!! And then it tanks and does a monstrous reverse split. Oops...
Love this:
”I've joked about the mother-lode for historians that would come with finding Abraham Lincoln's CC records. LOL! Two tickets for Ford's Theater!”
lol!
It's a hoot to look over ancient credit card statements. A few years ago I found a box with statements from 20 years ago. Such memories of great meals and nights out! Very much like a diary. You wonder why anyone opens a restaurant. Virtually all of those restaurants are long gone.
I've joked about the mother-lode for historians that would come with finding Abraham Lincoln's CC records. LOL! Two tickets for Ford's Theater!
Recently I attempted to list every stock I ever owned. What a bunch of junk! Although none were pennies and most were NYSE, few amounted to much and I'm sure that's typical. Yet every IHUBer is certain his junk will be "the next Microsoft." Winners are really rare. Only about 4% of stocks beat money in the bank or T-bills.
You understand that the older you get.
Sleazeballs a plenty.
I’ve never thought of microwaving paper money before - good idea! I’ve been using credit cards for everything, but it’s always a shock to get the monthly bill.
The grandmother would get one of her shoeboxes (tons of shoes, not as much money lol) down and give me some paper “play money”, as she calls it.
Just another one. How special he uses Sharon Mitchell, the attorney of BIOFIN / BIOFINN infamy.
A new fraud for gannon?
Is he really that arrogant to go on to another after getting gutted for evti?
Back in February when CV started I stashed away plenty of cash but I've used almost none of it. Maybe $100 in the past two months. Everything goes on plastic and some stores prefer it that way.
Early on, I tested whether paper money could be cleaned in our microwave without starting a fire. Dampened a brand new $100 bill, the kind with lots of metallic threads, and heated on high for a minute. Result was a toasty hot and presumably sterile Franklin.
Shoe boxes [plural???]. I keep most of mine in one file folder.
